Comfortable home away from home”
This is an older hotel but has been kept in good repair. The staff are friendly and call you by name which makes you feel welcome. Breakfast is average but is good for the low price $6AUD. The pool is nice and private being at the back without having everyone watching you like the more modern hotels
Great hotel with Bali character ”
I have stayed many times here and was welcomed with a fruit platter because regular customer. The room was good but the aircon not quite cold enough. Food is good here although breakfast is a little limited. The other meals and snacks are lovely and although the price is higher than before it is still reasonable. Staff are friendly . The wifi is a bit slow and does not work in the bedrooms which is a feature they should address
Good Hotel, but no WiFi in the rrom”
Nice hotel with huge rooms and great location. The only problem is that they advertise free WiFi. Well, it is free but you have to sit in the lobby for that. Very annoying... Otherwise, very enjoyable.
Great hotel in a great location”
This hotel is a great value for the money. They have a nice pool, free breakfast, and are very close to many restaurants and shopping. The beach is about a five-ten minute walk away and is very easy to get to. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly! Great place to stay!
A Great place to stay. Such a Bali feel of the authentic style of buildings.”
This is an excellent place to stay. It is so much better than a high rise hotel. It has the authentic "old Bali" feel to it . The staff are very welcoming and wanting to please and far from intrusive. They have made an effort to do some upgrades, but keep the traditional atmosphere in the rooms. The grounds and gardens are kept well, and you step out of your room and you know you are in Bali on Holidays. It is a 10 minute walk to the wonderful beaches one way and a short walk to the cafes and eateries the other (also the "sellers".) The supermarket is next door with a reputable and honest money changer. I will be booking there again and recommend this place to all my friends to stay there. For me it is ideal in Bali.
A good Balinese style hotel with great pool”
This is a good Balinese style hotel. The staff are very friendly and very obliging. The breakfast provided everyday had plenty of choice with 8 different meals including fresh fruit or juice, coffee and eggs many different ways with some vegetables and a couple of Balinese choices like mie goreng or nasi goreng. The room was spacious with a huge bed and was serviced every day, swept and mopped. The room lacked some drawer space for storing clothes although there were a couple of big shelf spaces in the large wardrobe. There was also a very good safe provided. The bathroom had a bath, but the shower head had definitely seen better days. We had cold showers the first night until we discovered the shower taps were plumbed opposite to the basin taps. Wifi was supposedly only in the outside areas but our room was situated where we had access in our room, but at times sporadic. Tea/coffee making facilities apparent means "electric kettle supplied" - no cups, no teabags, no coffee.
Seminyak Paradiso Hotel Brilliant”
I have stayed in this Hotel many times and love it. I always get the same room and the staff are so friendly and want everyone to enjoy their stay. Their are so helpful and management is very hands on. Another great 15 days in Bali. My thanks Bill
lovely as always”
lovely space with the gardens and location is great for everything in Seminyak. the pool area needs work and better sunbeams, but its clean and maintained. rooms are basic and traditional. bathroom could do with an update and good scrub, but the hot water worked so thats always a bonus in Bali. wifi was only in the main reception... kettle, but no cups, tea or coffee?
this place is just ok”
Not a place you would stay more than a few days. Our room was clean but the pool was not. I did not see anyone using it at all and it was not very inviting at all Breakfast was basic but ok Our 3rd night there our toilet broke down I rang reception 4 times and finally after about 2 hours someone came very poor English so she said they can not fix Not good when your husbands got Bali belly and needs a flushing toilet Got a bucket to use as a flushing devise, not very happy at all Checked out the next morning by 8 am with no apology or explanation on why no one could fix our toilet Would not come back here or recommend to my friends You get what you paid for NOT MUCH
Good older hotel with character”
I've stayed many times at this hotel because it is good value and has nice Balinese styling . The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is quite big and located at back of hotel which means that it is not in full view of restaurant customers like it is in so many modern hotels. The breakfast is okay but a little small size . The regular staff there are lovely , but this visit there were sometimes trainee staff who knew nothing and were not being supervised.
value for money in Seminyak”
2016 October - party of five: three adults, and two children aged 13 & 12; occupying three rooms. We stayed for seven nights. I have stayed here before, and was happy to return. Seminyak Paradiso has a modest pool, but my sons enjoyed it. It is a small hotel, but beautifully landscaped, and surprisingly well-insulated from traffic noise. Rooms were spacious, and clean, if basic. Small refrig, and icy air-con. WiFi is free, but only available in the dining area. The Seminyak Paradiso is operated by the same people who operate the Legian Paradiso, and the Kuta Paradiso - but I have never stayed in either of those. Seminyak Paradiso is located about two-thirds of the way down from Jalan Legian to the beach. That road is packed with shops, restaus, and accommodation. About 50m down hill is a good mini-mart and a Commonwealth Bank ATM. Plenty of taxis pass the Hotel. On Jalan Legian is Bintang Supermarket, and another Commonwealth Bank ATM. The beach at Seminyak is better than at Kuta or Legian - but has an infamous rip - so, be careful ! from Seminyak, there is a lovely walk to the south along the beach - plenty of inexpensive restaus. Or, go up hill and walk along Jalan Legian ... from Seminyak Paradiso - 20 minutes by taxi to WaterBom Park. from Seminyak Paradiso to Airport took 40 minutes at noon - we paid 180,000 rupiah for a big van with room for five of us and our luggage. I would happily go back to Seminyak Paradiso for an inexpensive holiday in that part of Bali.
the two misses”
the staff were very friendly , but the smell in the bathroom was terrible , the food was good except the bacon was so over cooked that you couldn't cut it and they need to serve extra butter with breakfast , overall we enjoyed our stay .....very convenient location .
Would not stay here again”
I did not enjoy my stay at the paradiso, seminyak. In fact I spent all my spare time just down the road at the Puri Cendana for food and swimming. Where to start? The worst was the staff, hardly speak english and are not interested in helping you at all. No, no no, the worst was the mould in the shower- it was realllllly bad. The pool was pretty bad- there was a layer of sticky black sludge around the top tiles the whole way round. The pool area was shaded buy the massive concrete hotel next door and most of the day was too cold to swim and enjoy the sun. It was also not very inviting giving a feeling of being trapped inside a concrete box as all the way round were big concrete walls with very sparse plants. The pool table was fun, but it was very very out of whack, and the cues dont even have tips on them, just frayed wood which meant any games were strictly to pass time, you couldnt even use it as table practise because the cues were that unreliable. Some good things: the fried rice was yummmmmmm, guava juice at breakfast was nice, they have their own drivers sitting around most of the day who were extremely helpful, spoke great english, were very informative on tours and was priced very well. You can also get a bluebird right out the front as well as the street is very busy. There are multiple massgae places, 7 elevens and pubs outside so you dont have to go far, and the beach is within an easy walk as well. All in all though, I would not stay here again.
Location, good value”
I enjoyed my stay in this hotel, the cheap room price included breakfast, enjoyed traditional baliness fry rice and noodle each morning ( very good, dont know other food just ordered same everyday). The hotel is old baliness style hotel, old inside but all you want to have for basic stay for budget holiday : air condition, room cleaning everyday, hot water shower, swim poor and friendly staffs, the hotel close to beach, shopping centre, night club...
Adequate for 2 nights”
This place was fine for my wee stop over before flying home.. I hadn't been in Seminyak for a few years so it was a great street to remeet Seminyak and the fabulous beach front bean bag dining this stretch of water is famous for.. So for the solo cheap price of $35 a night and the location, I was happy.. My fridge wasn't plugged in and cold when I was shown my room, then it wasn't a goer.. Breakfast is basic.. Staff are friendly.. Security is great.. No pool towels out by pool area which was a let down.. Wifi only in front reception or dining..
Not the Hilton”
This is not the Hilton, but remember you are not paying Hilton prices. It is an older style hotel that has that quaint Bali style about it, red brick, craved wooden doors, etc. Unfortunately it had that stable bathroom smell, running the fan for a few minute gets rid of it. The pool area was good. There are good eating places and bars within walking distance. The beach is a five minute walk away. It is getting harder to find good cheap hotels close to the beach in Kuta-Seminyay area.
September 2014 stay”
Staff are friendly. It is soooo near to the beach. Everything is walking distance. Shops, resto, beach. Bathroom needs improvement though. But if you are not going to stay in the hotel the whole day long and really explore Bali, their room and bathroom are something you can live with. The hotel has a balinese theme and doesnt look modern. Youll really feel your in bali not just some other beach resort.
This hotel was very average. We stayed at eight different hotels on our month tour of SE Asia and found this one to be very average. There was nothing terrible about it but nothing excellent either. The hotel's exterior looked cool but the rooms were very out-dated. The pool was a little funky looking too. The shower sprayed water onto the floor and their were stains on the sheets (nothing gross just stained). The breakfast was average as we only had three choices of breakfast items but it was free. The hotel offered massages, pedicures, and manicures, but there were many other places on the street that did the same for much cheaper. The hotel was near many restaurants and shops and we found that to be very convenient. It's not close to the ocean but it's about a kilometer's walk which isn't too bad if you don't mind exercising. The hotel/airport transfer was reasonable (15$). For the price we paid, I think we could have found something nicer, cleaner, and newer in Bali.
Wonderful centrally located and pleasant atmospher”
We received a very good rate for nice private balcony room, staff relaxed and friendly without being intrusive. We loved the swimming pool. Location perfect for many restaurants, the beach and of course shopping. Breakfast only average but adequate and many low cost alternatives at the door.We would stay here again.
Brilliant. The Staff are so friendly and welcoming”
I have stayed in this Hotel now for the last 5 times i have come to Bali. The staff are fantastic. they are very welcoming to me and take an interest in my holiday. The rooms are always clean. Although this hotel is a little "older" than many close by it really hase the "family" feel to it and a real sence of Bali. It is a resort that is small and friendly and does not have the "clinical" feel that many of the new resorts have in Bali now. Although they cater for the western and other comunities they (are one of the few) have retained the Bali experience that we enjoyed many years ago. Will be going back to Bali 4 more times this year and will be staying at this hotel each time. The hotel is not expencive but if you are looking for opulence, this is not for you. its close to the beach, Taxis at the door and many restaurants close by. As a bonus the supermarket complete with an honest money changer is right next door.
