"Price reflects this is a basic hotel, but fine for a one night stay. Breakfast was an environmental disaster, everything was unneccesarily plastic and disposable. It made me feel uncomfortable eating it."

"My husband and I love to travel up from Ohioto Michigan. Last year we stayed at the Great Lakes In and suites with our daughter. The room was tastefully decorated and the beds very comfortable. The friendly staff will answer any question you have about the area. South Haven is a charming town and it's so nice to have a not too expensive place to enjoy it from. Plus it's a great "home base" if you like taking little daytrips further up the coast to Muskegan or Saugatuk Statre Parks. We enjoyed our comfortable stay there so much, we decided to come back again this year. If you're into frau-frau, don't come--but if you want homey comfort and a safe place to land each evening after a day's fun at a reasonable price, this is the place for you."

" The facilities in the wing where I stayed were single story, 14 rooms laid out in a "L" configuration. With only 2 rooms occupied the only reason to put both occupants right next to each other was for the staffs convenience, without a thought about the customer experience. I doubt that they are unaware that the walls are paper thin, so when the adjacent room has a belching, talking in their sleep and then later screaming from nightmares, it's like they are in the room with you. If there was any care for the customer, when the place is empty they would separate the visitors with a "buffer" room between them. This to me is not rocket science, just a focus on the customer. I like to get at least a decent nights sleep when I'm traveling. When checking out there was no, " how was your stay" or " thank you, please come back soon" , just took the keys and walked away. Nice location, if you don't mind being treated like your a bother than this would be a good choice for you. If you prefer being treated like your welcome and valued as a customer I would avoid this place."
