Dear Team, We stayed at Hotel President from 2nd to 6th December for our wedding celebration. While some aspects of our experience were exceptional, there were significant challenges that need attention. We booked the Mirzaan Banquet Hall for our wedding reception on 5th December at 6 PM. To experience the hotel's hospitality in advance, we initially checked into a standard room on 2nd December but found it uncomfortable and upgraded to a family suite. For our special day, we wished to book a Presidential Suite, but the process was handled poorly by your front office staff, Vigneshwaran. Key Issues: Unprofessional Behavior: Vigneshwaran displayed rude and unprofessional conduct during our request to upgrade to a Presidential Suite. We spent nearly 2 hours (from midnight to 2 AM) trying to explain our requirements, only to be told the suite was booked online by someone else. Despite repeatedly requesting to block the room and offering to pay the difference, he mismanaged the situation and wasted our time. Billing Discrepancy: Upon checkout, we were asked to pay ₹4,999 for restaurant services without a detailed bill. Upon further investigation, it was clarified that only ₹2,600 was our actual charge, as the rest pertained to another guest. Vigneshwaran refused to apologize, exhibiting a lack of accountability. Positive Highlights: Professional Staff: Front Desk Manager Dinesh resolved our concerns professionally and ensured our stay was salvaged. Saravana, the Banquet Hall in-charge, delivered excellent service with clean and hygienic catering. Housekeeping team members Hussain and Balaji also deserve commendation for their diligent work. Food & Event Execution: The reception dinner was superb, and the staff ensured everything was seamless. Our overall experience was a mix of extreme highs and lows. While we deeply appreciate the efforts of Dinesh, Saravana, and others, the unprofessionalism of one staff member negatively impacted our impression of the hotel. We sincerely hope measures are taken to prevent such occurrences in the future. Thanks to Hajee Ismail for taking an action against the unprofessional useless staff Vigneshwaran. The room allotted to us was very neat, clean, and well-maintained, with all the essential amenities and ample parking space. We stayed for just one night during our trip to Kanyakumari and to visit the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai, which is conveniently less than 2 km away via a direct route. A special thanks to the front desk team for their helpful local tips and for guiding me through the process to ensure a smooth and hassle-free darshan at the temple. I stayed here for 8 nights and paid over Rs.25,000 . The Room was decent. WiFi was good, TV Channels Great, Bathroom Nice, When it came to the Bathroom I loved the water pressure and the hot water was good and hot. The location of the Hotel to the Temple was Great as it was walkable. Breakfast was Excellent ( at least for me ) it was pretty much the same everyday, however I like the traditional food so for me not at all an issue. I ordered room service for dinner several times one night being that I ordered the mixed veggie curry, that was ( Very Bad ) it tasted spoiled and I just left it. The other times I order all was fine except twice I ordered the Mushroom and once the Peas curry and both were not available so had to change it. Staff was Great “ Especially “ Mr. Narayana who works in the Restaurant very hard working and polite . Front. Desk all were very kind to me Especially during my last two days when I got really sick. I used the Hotel Travel Desk Sevices and. paid Rs. 7,500 to visit Rameshwaram and back. I used the hotel laundry service it was ok however for the prices charged they could have ironed the cloths better I paid over Rs.1,400 for using the service twice. I did spend a lot of money within the 8 days of being there more than the average person it could be polished up Especially seeing the number of Foreigners who are staying . I saw a Foreign Family who checked in and were not Happy and Checked out .. The standards when it comes from the ppl who are visiting like my self are Hight Especially when it comes to Hygiene and Cleanness…. Locals might be ok with this as many have not been abroad however …. Anyway, for me it was ok could be improved however complaining is not going to change the issue because it’s India … It was ok.

We spent nearly 2 hours (from midnight to 2 AM) trying to explain our requirements, only to be told the suite was booked online by someone else. Despite repeatedly requesting to block the room and offering to pay the difference, he mismanaged the situation and wasted our time. Billing Discrepancy: Upon checkout, we were asked to pay ₹4,999 for restaurant services without a detailed bill. Upon further investigation, it was clarified that only ₹2,600 was our actual charge, as the rest pertained to another guest. Vigneshwaran refused to apologize, exhibiting a lack of accountability. Positive Highlights: Professional Staff: Front Desk Manager Dinesh resolved our concerns professionally and ensured our stay was salvaged. Saravana, the Banquet Hall in-charge, delivered excellent service with clean and hygienic catering. Housekeeping team members Hussain and Balaji also deserve commendation for their diligent work. Food & Event Execution: The reception dinner was superb, and the staff ensured everything was seamless. Our overall experience was a mix of extreme highs and lows. While we deeply appreciate the efforts of Dinesh, Saravana, and others, the unprofessionalism of one staff member negatively impacted our impression of the hotel.
