The Ritz London
Waterloo and Southwark
After our first experience of The Ritz, there was no option but to enjoy another celebration there this year. We knew we would not be disappointed and all things being equal, we will be back soon, but preferably for much longer! Luis remembered us as we remembered him, Orla and Anu are very good advertisements for Ritz service and made us feel very welcome - and Francesco, Phillipe(sp?) and a wonderful pianist made the dinner dance very special. That The Ritz reception team does check passports was evidenced by a very sweet little birthday cake(complete with candle) placed in our room whilst we were out the following morning. The history, ambience, quality of service and sense of general well being generated by THE Ritz itself, really needs to be absorbed and appreciated, at a careful and measured pace, as in 'Stop and smell the roses', which so many either do not understand, or forget to do now. All the more reason why we need The Ritz.....so Thank You and Well Done!!
Wonderful service. Just watch out when taking a shower. ”
Very professional in many service ways. When I told them I had a cold and they sent me a big tray of ginger tea with lemon, ginger, ginger bread without charge. Excellent shoes shine service. One dangerous thing is the slide glass in bathtub. I assumed it's fixed. But when I took a shower standing on the bathtubs, I almost fell down to the floor. Very very fortunate I did hold up something, otherwise; it wouldn't be good to break your arm after staying with Ritz London. I think you need a warning or note on the glass. Other than that, everything was perfect.
We have been privileged to have stayed at some amazing hotels over the years, but this The Ritz by far out shines them all The position ambience staff and service was just amazing,we at no stage felt out of place oh did I mention the staff It is a little expensive but you get what you pay for and again it was a great experience and we will stay again
English Decadence, an amazing experience!”
This was a special trip for my husband and I as we did the theatre, dinner and decided to spoil ourselves by booking into the Ritz! It is also a trip without the kids. My only unfortunate incident was we were given a room next to the service stairs. Hence I was woken up by staff running up and down the stairs and slamming the door as they go about their duties. Therefore, I woke up the next day feeling exhausted from the disturbed sleep. When I mentioned this to concierge, and I was also enquiring about coffee in the room, he immediately apologise and sent up a complimentary tray of beautifully laid out coffee for two. We were impressed with this service and the night manager also rang to apologise and offered to extend our check out by 2 hours later so I could have more rest. This is what I called 'good service' ! We definitely will stay there again. Thank you Ritz!
Nice stay experience with the Ritz”
We stayed 3 nights and it was a very nice experience. The hotel staff are attentive to details. The room are so nicely decorated. The location is so centrally located, just few steps away from Green park, which is convenient to connect to most tourist spots via Tube. Only complaint is the utlities in the room is a bit old, for example the bath tub is having a crack and a light bulb was on and off from time to time.
One of the best I have ever experienced.”
I'm Japanese, and I thought service in Japan was the best in the world. But I learned we are not always the best. The way the hotel staffs speak was very polite and accurate. They answered my question with more information I had expected. Food and my room were great, too. But my room had a very poor view from the window, and I couldn't find tooth brush and other amenities. That was a bit surprise.
HIstorical and gorgeous”
We stayed last one night at The Ritz. We enjoyed very much for historical atmosphere of the hotel which mached with historical city London. It was surprised that staff remembers my name though it was short stay and Japanese unfamiliar name. This gives me very at home impression. Room was also very nice and gives us good sleep. But affordable to stay only by AGODA price.
Nice rooms, good service ”
Nice reception staff, helpful and patient. Beautiful rooms. Provided skyTV that you can watch movies channel. No kettle in the rooms but can ask one from the housekeeping. Expensive room service. One bad housekeeping maid, late cleaning and we found the maid was watching TV in our room when we return and with bad manner.
5 Star hotel”
Luxury hotel close to shopping area such as jermy st and bond st. Amazing interior design.
Hotel a bit old but look gorgeous. Near green park & burger lobster. I love this place
The most glamorous hotel ”
Right place to stay when in London. Great Location.
one of the most luxury hotel in London”
it is a truly luxury hotel seeing that everyone there dresses properly. staffs were friendly. it's quite pricey but it worth the experience if you have the budget.
Its okay, but for the price, you can get better. Staff repeatedly got our name wrong, which is very poor, our room was so gloomy with little natural light. There was a maintenance issue, which was eventually sorted, but not until we had rang down twice. We were glad to leave.
Meh, Not as posh inside the rooms”
First off, Ritz hotel wrote my name down as Mr instead of Miss. They kept addressing my boyfriend as Mr. Zhao assuming he is the one paying and ignored me, even though it was stated when I booked the hotel that I was MISS. The room inside wasn't luxuriously decorated as was in the pictures. Everything is extremely old, the two sinks makes a loud screeching sound when the tap is turned on and also we could hear the next doors pipes running through the walls. The bathroom door was also jammed and needed a good push to actually close. Disappointed as the Ritz in other countries I have stayed at had much better rooms for the price.
Good for those who are into tradition and antique.”
A bit too old for a high-end luxury hotel. Should be more modernised. Full of history and tradition. Good for those who are into antiques. Gym is too small.
Afternoon tea was superb experience!
Very classic and beautiful
Fabulously OTT - opulence and tradition. The staff are amazing and the location peerless ”
Worth every cent - I will be back
