My family and I (2A 2C) spent a wonderful 5 nights here. Things we loved - conveniently attached to a mall with plenty of cafes, restaurants and a convenience store - the space was large but felt homely enough with the furnishings - the beds were the best we encountered in our East Coast Australia travels (even better than a certain *super* luxury 5 star global hotel chain) - I can't explain how well I slept - our porter on arrival was friendly and helpful (A young French guy we believe) - bathrooms were clean, well maintained, no evidence of mould etc in our suite - black out blinds in addition to voiles and drapes - large shower areas - the entire place has been designed with function and use in mind - nothing awkward in terms of design - security on Friday and Saturday nights at the elevator lobby - lovely Pyrmont area nearby - plenty of options for adjusting lighting - busy/bustling entrance, has a real buzzy vibe - some may not like this but I loved it - locked area for leaving luggage if you check out earlier than your flight - porter Kim was a genius in stacking our luggage up like Jenga (and we had a lot as we were on a long trip!) - nice option of a balcony - lots of storage space - as busy as the hotel/residences were, we never had to wait long for a lift up. Things I feel need improvement - the hotel is attached to a Casino - this was not a disadvantage for me as I feel they do a great job in managing crowds/people but it might be a dealbreaker for others - the place got very dusty after being there a day or 2 - some surfaces were clearly not wiped in days even though there was visible dust. Other aspects of housekeeping were great. - TVs although are meant to be 'smart' did not allow screen mirroring, not the biggest issue - trying to order room service was difficult because the website is clumsy and I didn't bother in the end - got Uber eats instead - pool looked beautiful but the gate was often locked from the residential tower on the 5th floor so not easy to access - didn't bother using it for this reason as didn't want to risk having to walk through the casino lobby soaking wet (if I was there in Summer I would have been a bit more proactive in bringing this up but because it was Winter I didn't care enough to swim) - some might prefer to be a bit closer to circular Quay/The Rocks - waited 25 mins to get our luggage from the secured room when we were leaving for the airport - the porter who did finally come to help just unloaded the luggage onto the roadside and didn't help to load into the car, just felt this wasn't really in keeping with the standard of the hotel and probably isn't the last experience you want to give your guests as they leave Overall I'd stay again, we had a great time here.

I have stayed here numerous times (I dont gamble) and each time I have loved it however this time around there were a few things that ruined the stay. Firstly the location of the room was not good at all. My room was located next to a staff service room so the door was opening and closing loudly all through the night which meant I had very little sleep. Secondly, the bed this time around was quite uncomfortable and short for some reason (I’m a tall person) It was a double bed so was much smaller than a queen and king. I had decided to have the buffet again this stay as the last few times I have stayed it was great. However this time around it was not worth the money. Food was cold, the choices in dishes have diminished and the overall experience was sub par. I also had an incident where my room keys randomly stopped working which is frustrating because then to fix them I had to line up behind a long line of other guests that were there to check in at the time. The room keys at check-in also weren’t working, again which was frustrating. This hotels staff were great as they always are and that is a plus. However the overall experience this time was not good and I probably won’t be back!

The hotel's location was ideal, facilitating convenient exploration of the city on foot. The spacious room featured a comfortable bed and a balcony offering stunning water and city views. Furthermore, the room's cleanliness was exceptional. The hotel's restaurants provided consistently excellent cuisine. In summary, the stay was outstanding.

My partner and I just loved our experience at the star. The rooms were very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were very friendly and always there to help. The sports bar in the star make the best burgers I have ever had I would highly recommend. Exceptional”
Stayed in a superior room and I’ve got to say it was beautiful. The beds were super comfy and the room was very modern and spotlessly clean. The Star has great amenities such ans a lovely pool annd gym and being joined to the casino it offers endless entertainment and great dining options. It is located about a 5 minute walk from Darling Harbour and the Light rail runs from the Star complex straight into Central Station. Great choice of hotel if you want to see the sights of Sydney whilst enjoying a bit of entertainment.
