Tucson City Center hotels & places to stay

We are returning to Tucson and unfortunately The Viscount was all booked up. It saddens me that we are not able to stay here in a couple of months. I highly recommend this hotel. It has all the amenities, clean rooms and the continental breakfast is hot and delicious, they even have a chef to prepare your omelets. The beds are comfortable and so is the sofa. We enjoyed our stay there at The Viscount.

It was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It was so close to the Tucson music hall and the restaurant on site served delicious food

It's a standard 3 star hotel but done well. The staff of as super helpful and the breakfast was surprising as it had a bigger selection than expected.

While not new and modern, Comfort Suites at Sabino Canyon offers you a touch of vintage Tucson the minute you walk through the front doors to the reception desk. The small hotel's rooms are arranged around courtyards each with its own fountain and there is a fountain in the reception area. The staff is welcoming, the rooms clean and its location at the foot of the Catalina Mts makes for easy access to Sabino Canyon, Mt. Lemmon and numerous trail heads. My room was small but well maintained.

Comfort suites have been nicely done up and its really good value for money. The rooms are elegantly done, clean, well furnished and spacious. Breakfast was standard menu but sufficient. Location was excellent with Tucson Mall and eateries within 5mins walk. Definitely recommended.

Days Inn Tucson is a good motel with a friendly and helpful staff . My room was clean and very useful during my stay. The WiFi is good and the TV choices were good. It can be seen that times are hard for the motel now and little things were deficient in my room. One issue I had was the stopped up bathroom sink drain that was improved by removing a penny and some hair. Two lightbulbs were burnt out in the bathroom and overhead of the dining area. Another lightbulb was missing from one of the living room sofa lamps. Although I saw some issues which need correcting, the room was clean, useful, and a good value for the money.

Small room and very basic facilities. The manager helped with all our requests and was friendly to assist.

I was very pleased with my accommodation. The room was spacious even with a king-sized bed. The towels were soft and thick. Best of all was the wifi. I have stayed in places where a code is required and the connection is very slow. A code was not required at this motel and the connection speed was fast. Another thing I liked about my room is the number of electrical outlets that were easily accessible. If I am given the opportunity, I would choose to stay at Red Roof Inn again.

I would have given the room a higher rating, but the bed was just not very comfortable. It was hard - very hard. But, the room was clean and quiet.

I was told this cancelled by the employee I spiked to and I would be refunded. I booked at the wrong location.

Great because it’s close to events and downtown, but I noticed that certain areas in the rooms were dusty and carpet under bed was not vacuumed well. Over all I would rate my stay at a 8.5 out of 10. Big plus for Comfort Inn was the excellent service and attentiveness of the staff!!!! Five stars to them!!!!!

I was travelling through Tucson on a drive from Texas to California and chose to stop over night here. It was everything it’s gleaming reviews by other customers had said. Clean, comfortable and a refreshing stay, in the heart of the city. Exactly what I needed and as a first experience with Radisson, this won’t be my last.

This hotel is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at! If you like enjoying the vibe of Congress street this is the place to stay. Even with all the people in the hotel lobby and bars, staff kept it up very well!

Would have been a perfect stay. However, we were NOT informed upon booking that the entire center of the hotel was being gutted and that construction start every day, even on Saturday, at 9am! This was an absolute headache. The place was dusty and the noise that early in the morning was just awful. I hope that the construction is finished by now but I would definitely call the location itself to double check. There is no good room for getting away from the noise. Other than that, the stay, I imagine, would have been close to perfect.

It was a nice place to stay but beds need to be updated? It was like sleeping on the box springs & not the mattress.

My wife and I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast. It was like being at home, but without the kids running around! Pat was very nice to sit and talk with while eating breakfast. The room takes up a quarter of the house with a very comfortable bed and cozy living area. There is a nice sitting area in the back, a pool and a hot tub. Even though it's in the middle of the city, it's very peaceful in the neighborhood.

Grubby exterior but room was good-sized. Great shower/tub. Walking distance to Denny's diner, CVS pharmacy, Bev Mo liquor retailer, and various food outlets. Straight shot by 20-30 minutes to the airport. Easy access to the heart of Tucson via Broadway, and a 5 minute drive to Tucson Coffee Roasters on Craycroft, where you'll find amazing freshly roasted artisanal coffee, including a good bulletproof. But the room... TV with enough channels, firm bed with nice upgraded bedding. Excellent shower pressure in my second floor room. Free breakfast is one step up from usual motel breakfasts these days. There were scrambled egg patties and sausage patties and apples in addition to waffles and juice, coffee and cereal.

I have lived in Az most of my life and had to go into Tucson many times for different reasons. I ususally do what most people do just let Google lead the way in a list and I had seen this place in the list many times but went with what I already knew. This time I had been away from Tucson for several years and am told is dying and really run down which is true and so the "go-to" places I always stayed were receiving some really nasty reviews for being run down and unclean. Then I saw the reviews at this place, I then went to the pictures and could not believe what I saw. I booked for my Fiancee, son and I to go to meet relatives. We will NEVER go anywhere else when we visit Tucson! We were so shocked! This place is better than the pictures and the southwestern feel and special touches are unreal! The rooms are huge and everything is just such a surprise! This is my first review EVER for a hotel. That alone should give you some idea of how much I appreciate a place like this!

Some staff that aren't detrimental to functionality to the everyday runnings of the facility could use some extra training. Management is top notch and aware of the such and addressing promptly and professionally

Super 8 Tucson/East/D.M.A.F. Area has clean spacious lodging located near restaurants and shopping.

Hotel is Clean and Comfort to stay for a week and there is Kitchen inside also. We can do laundry at the laundry room but the location is far from downtown.

For 330 a week you can't beat it with a stick 2queen beds full refregeter, and stove. , card table and it's in agreat location Js

Hotel was all right, but they tried to scam me for parking. They double-charged us (we only had one vehicle but two separate bookings) which is an honest mistake, but we had to drive all the way back to the hotel to tell them as they weren't picking up the phone. I explained the situation to the front desk and they agreed to refund the money, even repeated the last 4 digits of my credit card to confirm.... but I noticed a week later that they never issued the refund. Called again to the accounting department to explain the situation yet again, and they told me no refund was issued. Classic way for hotels to scam you out of a few extra dollars -- If i hadn't taken the time to look at the receipt AND then check my credit card to look for the refund, they would've gotten away with it.
