Disappointing :( Dangerous Pool and Dirty Water”
I am really torn to choose a place to stay in Chiang Mai since there are a lot of hotels, dorms etc., to choose from. I decided to book this place because it has a pool and accdg to the room description they provide refrigerator, I also booked for 2 single beds. But when we arrived they gave us a single bed no fridge.. we transferred to another room but still no fridge and the water is so dirty! with black sand and smelly. The pool is dangerous to swim! Tho they have put a sign that says "be careful with sharp edges" but everywhere has sharp edges and my friend got a lot of cuts on his feet and legs! Not safe especially for children! so far, this is the worst place I have tried in Agoda. Find better hotels there are a lot with better price and amenities.

Dangerous pool, rooms weren't cleaned, awful water pressure”
The pool needs to be closed and repaired. It is extremely dangerous with sharp tiles everywhere. 3 of our party of 5 were cut whilst there, as were several of the other guests we spoke to. Our room was awful. Bed old with sharp springs, musty, broken furniture, nowhere to hang clothes, no tv as shown in pics, bathroom sink had a sharp, large crack all the way across it. Bins were never emptied, towels never changed, toilet roll not replaced, rooms not touched in 5 days. Water pressure so poor that often not strong enough to flush toilet or even brush teeth, nevermind have a shower! This place has the potential to be amazing but needs to be closed for a good couple of months and completely renovated.

Such a great hotel! The pool was amazing, great sun-beds and frangipanis all around it. Bed was super comfy, clean fluffy towels, spacious room with a cupboard and bedside tables. Beautiful view of the mountain (and sunset) from the West side. Didn't eat in restaurant but there's some really good, cheap places a few minutes away.

We stayed at BMP for 9 nights. It's a cheap hotel with a nice pool, a nice bar and live music in the evening. It's about 500m south of the glong. We loved staying at BMP! Food and drinks were delicious. A transfer to the airport was included.

The pool was good for our son, my only complaint is the room was a little dark and without a balcony which it said it had in the description, but it didnt matter as there was plenty of space to sit outside.

only stayed 1 night but would have stayed more. the staff were so kind and helpful always smiling. the pool area is nice but there's some sharp tiles loose that people were cutting themselves on. there were a few mosquitos in the room and I think they might have been coming from a hole in the bathroom. the bathroom tap also didn't work. apart from that it was fine for the night.

      This place has a vibe”
First of all let's clarify it: this place is only for you if you don't have high standards. However if you make do with a decent room that is suitable for sleep, then this could be your choice. The internet indeed doesn't work well in the rooms, but it's marked on the profile, so it's not a reason for complaining. Additionally the location is very good and the evening solo concerts are worth to checkout. All in all, I give it a four star.

Loved the pool and surprised by free New Years Buffet. Good for the family.”
The BMP is fairly low budget with simple, not large rooms, but adequate. Location is fine - short walk to the moat around Chiang Mai and a small food market there. What really made it great for our kids was a great pool with a slide and diving board and water that wasn't cold in the cool days at the end of December. We were also surprised by a delicious free buffet on New Year's eve. We would definitely go back.

Mr A makes this hostel. ”
Room was nice, good showers, pool is great. A little bit out the way near the food market which is on every night by the gate. Best thing about this hostel is Mr A, got us a great deal on the Elephant care camp, pai and slow boat to Laos. Also we left some money on the table and when we came back it was gone. It was our fault but he got the CCTV up and found our money and returned it to us. really helpful and went out of his way for us.

BMP must stand for Bad Manners Place”
I've spent a lot of time in Asia. About 4 years. This place is a total joke. When we arrived the person at the desk insisted that the price was $20. I booked on Agoda to save money instead and he got offended. He insisted that since I ordered through agoda that I would have to wait an hour for "processing". I was ignored when I asked If I could leave my bag somewhere... When I returned an hour later for my room they brought me down several corners to one of the smallest, dirtiest rooms I've ever seen in asia. Again, let me be clear, I've spent a lot of time here. I lived in Cambodia for years. This room had roached on the floor, and open electrical J-boxes just above the bad mattress. When I asked some other guests how their rooms were, they seemed much better -- which leads me to believe they gave us the worst rooms out of spite for ordering over agoda. I had one pillow, and when I asked for another they refused again. Wifi was out the entire time I was there -- and there was no signal in the rooms. Also, we asked about the option to rent motos and ride to Pai at their tour office. They insisted up and down that no one in Chiang Mai offered that service anymore and that we would be better off with their bus. After a little research, this turned out to be a lie as well -- check out Aya services. We visited this place 2 years ago and It was totally different. Take it from me, skip BMP. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. For $15-20 in Chiang Mai you can get a beautiful, western room with all the luxuries of home. This place is a callback to the $5 rooms of the 90s.

      BMP”
Pool, AC, locals working on the tours
The pool was great... Probably the main reason we chose to stay at BMP. We felt the staff were a bit pushy to get you on tours as soon as you arrive... A bit sneaky also as our friends became ill and asked if they could transfer a package to another tour in which they said no problem. In the morning however they had completely changed what they had said and instead offered to give back 1000baht of the original 2500 and wouldn't let them do another package. We did the jungle trek however which was awesome ... Mainly as our guide was a legend. Me and two others cut there toes getting out the pool and I also got an electric shock from the mains in our room 3 times... Nothing major but wasnt impressed. I'd recommend using bmp for the slow boat and 3 day jungle trek because it's all organised for you, however for one day packages like the tiger Kingdom, just get your own transport there it's way cheaper

      Pool, Restaurant, location
The location was convenient, pretty quick to get to the city centre. Nice and quiet location. The restaurant was great, really cheap yummy food. Pool was amazing. You can book trecks and things to do there which was really handy. The room was pretty average, bed was big but really really hard we both ended up with sore backs by the end of it. But we didnt plan on spending much time in the room. The staff were very friendly, the tuk tuk driver that works there is awesome really nice and so funny. All the staff offered advice on great local places to eat. We loved Chiang Mai it was very beautiful and found staying here was perfect for what we wanted to do here.

we reserved that hotel for 5 days thinking that it would be good, my god, what a mistake! staff so boring to work there and so bad character and most over really not helpful at all, they really don't care about customers there, oh by the way, the 3 girls at desk office have no idea!!!!!!! swimming pool closed at 7pm, after a full day out, i would like to relax a little bit at evening time, but no way, it is closed, tv so old and so small, not always working, internet never worked, maid yelled every morning everywhere instead of going up one level to talk to each other. never again i will go there nor recommend that hotel.
