Traveling to South Africa? Find East London hotels

The ICC EL was a good place to reside in East London. It took quite a while finding the correct entrance to the Hotel however once located the security was helpful in directing me to the guests parking lot and reception. The parking lot was a little cramped up however it was good to see a basement parking lot. The hotel is quite massive and the walk from the Parking Lot to the reception is a bit distant but it's worth it because it's a beautiful hotel inside. Reception staff were great and attentive and even advised on the best places to try out. The rooms very spacious and although mine was situated quite far from the Reception I appreciated it as it meant less walking Traffic. The Room had a great Toursist Booklet which I found quite handy in my East London Experience. Overall I'd give the Hotel an 8/10. Definitely would try it again

Apart from the confusion before checking in, the guest house is one of the best there is in East London in every way. They make you feel at home and relaxed.

I chose to puck Prana for our honeymoon as it just , well I hoped was exactly what we need after a few weeks of organizing a wedding . I booked a King's room (honeymoon suite) online and a 50% deposit was debited from my account. When we arrived to check in, we were given a room that is in a very bad shape (even worse than the standard rooms I am used to at Kennaway Hotel). When we returned to the reception to raise a query, we were informed that all honeymoon suites were not available. A call was made to a manager at Osner Hotel who decided that we should be taken to Osner Hotel, without even an apology. We ended up staying at Osner Hotel, in a room that had a leaking toilet.

I travel at least once a week for work purposes and thus get to experience many guesthouses and hotels. I really enjoyed the stay at Arum. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and quite. Breakfast was amazing and actually served great coffee. I also appreciated the effort put on by staff such as Camryn. She is friendly, witty and profesional. Arum will be my go-to accommodation in East London from now on.

The place is situated in "the garden of Eden" - the view is indescribable beautiful and dramatic. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food was totally divine - I had dinner and breakfast!!!!!! Stunning inside and outside setting at the restaurant with lots of atmosphere

It was alright. The staff told us we had to share the bathroom and kitchen with someone else. Through Agoda booking, I only expect to share the kitchen but not the bathroom. Eventually, no one else use the bathroom except us. The place has been renovated. I can smell the new paint. The key for the door is a problem. We cannot lock the room door from inside. The dog from neighbor baking through the night. Very noisy. Other than that, everything is fine. Staff is helpful. We just stay for a night. Value for money though.

Everything about Bon a Vie was wonderful. The setting was beautiful. There is a lovely swimming pool. If you have the second floor flat you can look out and see the ocean. Overall a lovely pleasant experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Larkspur Place. The unit was spotlessly clean. They were very accommodating and allowed my husband to check in early on our day of arrival. I highly recommend this place to travelers - value for money you will not beat!

This was a wonderful budget overnight stay. I believe that the guesthouse has overrated itself as a four star venue. The family room was a bit cramped and very hot. To be considered a three star venue, airconditioning must be provided in every room. The TV controls in the two rooms was very tricky to operate and should be improved to warrant three star status. The beds were too soft and sunk in the middle. The bedding, linen, toilets and kitchen were super clean and inviting. The hosts were very friendly and took time to provide to ensure we were familiar with our surroundings. We did not eat on the premises, however, the breakfast certainly smelt delicious. Very charming place, will definitely stay over again if there is airconditioning.

Spacious, well-appointed cottage with full en-suite bathroom. Well located. Friendly reception in spite of late arrival. Ideally one should make provision for one's own breakfast especially if you want to make an early start.

Our first time and first day in Africa, and Buccs is where we land. What an amazing place. Rooms, Beach, Breakfast, Staff, Bar, Food, View - everything was simply exhilarating. What a gem on the wild coast, and what a place to start our South African Holiday.

Sebastian is kind and heart and accepted us warmly into his home. He is an exceptional host. His home was tidy and clean and had the everyday amenities you would expect to find at a guest house.

The room was perfect, sea facing, nice size with a good fridge and tea station, a nice little balcony to enjoy the view and a nicely finished bathroom with a double shower. The cold breakfast was nicely layed out and the hot menu was well planned with a build a breakfast option.

Palmieros was one of the best places I stayed in Africa, and I was very glad that I had to extend my stay a few days.

arrived late afternoon on sunday. had dinner in restaurant, which was ok, but nothing exciting. room was quite large and comfortable. bar was frequented by several locals, who were a little loud, but not too bad. internet service was limited. overall not a bad hotel.

My 22yrs Son & I stayed over for one night over a SA long weekend. Our Hosts were splendid and accommodating. The bedrooms & on suite bathrooms lovely. Facility is Easy to find Several BBQ (braai) facilities options Breakies was tasty. I will most certainly look up this Breeze inn next time i am in this part of the "world" most certainly will recommend to friends traveling in the Kidds beach/Kaysers Beach outskirts of East London

It was a good stay. Positives were the fast reliable Wi-Fi, the accommodating food menus and the friendly staff members. Much better than the average accommodation in these parts of East London. Minor negatives were that the cupboard lacked adequate hangers and the Wi-Fi password was not given to me on check-in. Had to request both of these. The gate was also closed and had to call through when I arrived at the establishment, could not see the buzzer.

For our first time in East London this could not have been a better place to stay at. The staff were friendly and the rooms were quite spacious and enjoyable. We will definitely go back there as this is such a unique place to stay and just capture the quiet surroundings. Thanks

Good, with some enjoyable privavy, controllable room temperature. The only limitation is access to DSTV channels which have more sports channels of which not every one is a sports fan

Best value around! HUGE room with a nice wide screen TV and shower/toilet. Nice lady and helpful and wifi was great! Comfy and clean bed. Secure large parking area. All around excellent value!!!

the room was nice, quite clean, nicely decorated. but our bed was noisy, couldn't turn without making a noise, staff was not very helpful with the complain. but luckily we only stayed for one night, we didn't have their breakfast

I enjoyed it. Came back for a second night on the same day after having checked out. Home away from home.

We Booked the Birdhouse as per photos and specs on Agoda .We thought the price was very good, but when we arrived we were directed to a small room in a next door unit, upon complaining we were told that the advert on Agoda was wrong and the price was for the smaller room at the back. The owner gave us the very nice room as per the photo on Agoda and we had a lovely stay. But please check with the owner if booking on Agoda what you see is not what you get!!
