More about Mauritius Island

Mauritius Island is an island city within the country of Mauritius, located on the Indian Ocean off the coast of southeastern Africa. The city is served by Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, and there are many hotels near the airport ranging from waterfront luxury resorts to modest accommodations.

The island is of course an ideal place for water sports and activities, so anybody looking for a relaxing beach vacation will find it hard to be disappointed. The Underwater Sea Walk is one such activity, offering visitors a unique opportunity to go on a walk under the sea. This popular activity makes it possible to stroll along corals and sea creatures while walking on the sea bed.

Mauritius Island is certainly a picturesque and stunning place, and one of the most famous postcard images from this area are arguable found on the starkly white sandy beaches of Ille aux Cerfs Island. The island is easily accessed by ferry, and once there one can either relax on the soft sand beach or take part in a diving or other water sport. Either way, it’s a place that can’t be missed by anyone who appreciates a relaxing and stunning landscape.
