Not really a lot to see in Mount Abu. All the main sites are packed with everyone else visiting the same sights - like sunset point was more fun to see the thousands of people gathered to worship the sun's setting.
All sites are so close by you can race round them in a few hours. I would not add Mount Abu to my itinerary unless you have time to kill or have seen all the other major cities and sites first as it is a long journey up a very windy road to 1200 metres, so out of the way if you have a limited schedule
Off the beaten path and very hard to get to, but the Jain temples are a must see when in India. Definitely a major highlight of our trip!! Might be ok on a day trip from udaipur.
No need to spend the night unless you want to enjoy a beautiful sky full of stars and the fresh quiet mountain air.
A fabulous place to rest, relax and enjoy a romantic getaway. Two days are more than enough to cover all the sights of Mount Abu.
Carry your umbrellas or raincoats as it is rainy almost all the year round here.
This place is green, nice to see and spend time. But do not go on weekends. 1000 cars for a small town, it makes dizzy.
Mount Abu is our gujarat near by Hill station and we always visited in one time of a year.I had liked Mount Abu very much
A very good historic place, Dilwara Temples is a must watch for every person who love art&architecture, the carvings were very beautiful.
Other sight seeing places also offer a fair amount of satisfaction. Best time to come either is in winter
nice lake and boating place, peaceful garden, hills, calm place, religious places, marvallous dilwara temple,s architecture nowhere find,
It was cool in the April first week...no need of AC room...you can rent bikes at Rs150/day. roads are good.
.. You should not miss the Jaipur house which is at the top , and service exceptional food , particularly Dum biryani ...and probably has the best location near the Lake.
Good for shopping winter wear - warm caps, gloves (cheap ones). Good blankets - wide variety and good prices.
Nice lake and even a balloon ride. Delwara temple is world famous Jain temple at Mt. Abu. Also, the "peace lovers", the Brahma Kumaris have a large presence in this area. Overall, a nice peaceful tourist destination.
