A wonderful little find after a few days in Budapest. Smaller than Gyor (which is also very attractive) so a more compact town, easy to visit the sights, and many wine bar/restaurants to check out.
Easy access to biking, although we did not do this having just completed another cycle tour. Sopron did not feel "touristy" but that may be as compared to the bigger city of Budapest. Be prepared to encounter mainly Hungarian and some German.
Lovely city. Friendly locals. Good for shopping, eating and site seeing. The little market beside the hotel has a lovely coffe and cake shop.
