Temple Point Resort
"We had an absolutely horrible experience at this hotel. The worst was the beach boys and staff. There were beach boys in the hotel and one of the staff hit on my mother. It got so bad we actively avoided walking by the restaurant area because the staff made us so uncomfortable.
It took us two days to arrange an excursion to Gede Ruins- about twenty minutes away- thanks to the extremely unhelpful staff. It was so bad that at one point, the tour agent at the front desk actually asked the receptionist to apologize to us for her poor service. Later when we tried to book a taxi to a local restaurant the receptionist refused to tell us the price of the taxi, it tends to be helpful to know the arrangement a hotel has made with a driver or company before one gets into a taxi.
It went on and on, we booked massages and the masseuse didn't show up. Eventually my mother received a massage and there was a mirror next to her table and no door to the massage area. Essentially, anyone walking through the door to the spa got a great view of her while she was being massaged.
The door didn't lock, there were ants crawling everywhere in the toilet (never cleaned by the staff who should have cleaned daily), and our phone never worked- despite asking repeatedly that it be fixed.
When I complained to the manager he asked me what I wanted him to do- it's not a guest's job to tell a manager how to do his job! Although he offered us a complimentary transfer to the airport he failed to inform his staff about it which made us twenty minutes late to leave for the airport because they had to find him to ensure this had been agreed to. Even that offer was pretty inadequate given the horrible service and how inappropriately his staff behaved."Show more

"A beautiful small boutique hotel on a secluded white beach, tastefully decorated and immaculately cleaned by very attentive staff. We had an excellent breakfast and a great lunch too. A perfect setting for a quiet beach getaway."Show more
