I really liked the place, and the people. One of the Helpex guys working there was so nice. Loved hanging out with him. The A.C. is strong, and could be turned down more. Just take the remote and do it. It's amazing when it's hot. Stay here! I would do it again.

Mi Casa Es Tu Casa is exactly what a backpacker or budget traveller would want, basics for cooking, a safe place to sleep, friendly staff, great atmosphere and comfy common areas (that were full but never too busy). They helped arrange all kinds of tours, guest houses, etc and were very knowledgeable about the local area. They are also partners / involved with local charities and socially conscious, which is a very nice touch. There is no parking on sight, but it is available in the streets, and Shkoder has a very safe vibe to it. It all depends on when you arrive as to finding a space. Right around lunch is a nightmare, but it seemed much freer in the later afternoon and evening. I would recommend Mi Casa es Tu Casa for anyone looking for a positive backpacker/hostel experience dead in the middle of the historic part of Shkoder.

The host are very nice and friendly, it likes living in a local's house, rather than in hostel, it is very comfortable and make you feel warm. And the hostel location is very good, easy to walk to everywhere. I hope to get a chance to come again ;)

The room was in the basement. Actually we felt really uncomfortable and there was no heater... so we had maybe 15-16 degree during the night in our room.

The hostel is like ten mins walk from the square, a beautiful house which was decorated by the lovely couple themselves, everything is perfect, but I still have to point something out, firstly an obvious sign, then sometimes the toilet on the 2nd floor can’t flush.. Anyway I had a wonderful time in Albania thanks to u Mati&Stavri! God I miss u so much~ May we meet again!

Good location and very well designed living-room / kitchen. But - most of the staff - volunteers (good will, but not professionals). Also, they clean at 8, 9 am, and it annoys.

lovely hostel. had to wait around for 2 hours when i arrived as the guy on reception had gone out... great. apart from this its a lovely hostel. good people and the staff are helpful with buses.

It is the simplest thing to put up curtains for peoples' privacy especially in co-ed rooms. Easy to install easy to take off to wash - of course please wash curtains dont leave them on for ages assuming they dont get dirty. One bathroom per dorm room facility. The bathroom in our room was a shower/toilet so you had to make sure you had shoes or flip flops on everytime you went in as to not wet your feet/socks. Annoying especially at night. Also, this means that after the first shower, the bathroom is not disgusting with people's hair and whatnot all over the said room. Apparently other rooms have a better set-up which makes me feel extremely cheated. Staff was bothered when I asked questions, you get paid so pretend like you care a little. 4 bed apparently means 8 beds... I was very annoyed by this fact. Not the same.

Lorenc is one of the nicest hosts I've ever met. He is very interested in you and your story and supports you a lot. His mindset is so strong and he is open minded to learn from each other. He offers you all you need and the feeling in the hostel is very lovely. The hostel is clean you can use the fridge if you want to. The way to the city is about 5 minutes and the castle is not far away too. All in all I will come back if I will be in Berat again.

Very nice place. The owners and Staff are very helpful and friendly and upgraded me for free. Good breakfast and close to the city center as well. Will definitely be back.

First what I should tell you, Albania it is another world. You can learn how to relax not rush, and somebody want to help you for free inside their hearts. Tomi have time to ask you everyday how can help you, where are you planning to go. He show you the best way, he will go with you on the bus stop 10 minutes one way ( he lost 20 min), but he is smilling and happy that he can help. With Rino you can chat a lot of hours, drink a beer if you are sad. They show you good restaurant and give for free their times and advice. I am very happy that this week I spend myself in this hostel, I did not feel alone, and if I can I will stay longer. Really I miss about this people who learn me again: "People are more important, not money, do not rush, relax, keep your time."

This hostel is probably the best I have ever stayed in. As soon as I entered for the first time it felt like home. The atmosphere was so lovey. Walter gave an interesting free walking tour and we had an amazing typical Albanian dinner prepared by the lovely staff. Thumbs up!

This is a very chill and nice hostel, exactly what I was looking for. You can stay many days and do day trips to new beaches every day

What can I say about this hotel. ? From biginning. Owner of the hotel is ready to help you. Bit old school Proprety but of course. This is what you wanted it. Living middle of the castle. Everything is so great about this hotel. From. Food. Locations. View. 5 star ranking service. Owner is so down to earth. Actually. Drop me off. To airport at 4 am in the morning since I had to catch flight. If you are visiting Armenia. This is best place where you wantedd To stay. I would strongly accomended to stay here

Awesome staff - they were incredibly kind and helpful. Bathrooms could use an upgrade, but they were extremely clean. Excellent location.

Appartments Rai, Double room with Balcony. 3n Room as on picture, with a good sized balcony overlooking the steps towards the sea/Saranda town. Kitchenette small and could do with 1 extra smaller pot or kettle for boiling water as well as a small cupboard/table to work/cut on. Just ok for basic stuff. Bed mattress very firm. Hot water no problem but you need to run the water for a while. Wifi a bit weak. small flat screen tv, good aircon. Above a bar but only loud once during our 5 n stay when soccer/football was being played on screen. Short walk from/to town, beaches, shops and restaurants/cafe's. People with mobility issues better take the road iso the steps and be advised there is a set of stairs inside the building as well. Apartment was clean and the service provided by Raymond,Griet? and Margarite? very friendly and👍. Loved the smell early morning from the bakery just across the road . Apartments in a residential neighborhood, really enjoyed my stay and extended by 2n.

I highly recommend to stay in Klajdi apartment. Our host was so generous and talkactive. Enjoyed every minute of staying in their lovely building. Room has all facilities you need for solo or family vacation, view from balcony is just fabulous. Family-run business gives you feeling like you are part of their family. No doubt we’re coming back !

Owners very friendly and helpful. Best deal in Gjirokastra. Shuttle bus to Castle on next block. Nice view from roof of hotel day or night. Good places to eat nearby. Big Grocery with Ice Cream and Byreks very reasonable, just down the street. Will stay here again.

Pension Andrea is located very conveniently in walking distance to all major tourist sites in Tirana. Cafes, supermarkets, money changers, ect. all right there. The studio is convenient and spacious. The kitchen well-equipped with a coffee maker! We could to use the washing machine for our laundry. The owner lady is very helpful. She had a map for us and helped us call a taxi when we left. In fact we booked the room for another 4 night after this first booking. We had a great stay and recommend Pension Andrea (especially the studio) for any travelers!

we had a very nice experience in Saranda and we can only say that we were perfectly happy and satisfied with our accommodation. the people were very nice, easy going and helpful. the flat is only like 5 minutes from the beach and is in a very calm area (no bars for tourists, no clubs). the apartment was just amazing with a huge balcony , fridge, bath amd everything we needed. it might be a good idea to ask for blankets though, as it can get very cold at night. 100% satisfied.

Excellent situation. Very friendly stall. The rooms in the old building are of different size. The room was furnished with old time furniture. There were seats for 10 people in our big room. Nice.

We took a room with a private bathroom but we were given an external bathroom where we told it would be exclusive. Then when we wanted to use the bathroom it was being used by others. The washing machine and dryer was also not for free and we had to pay for it's use although advertised differently. There was a cigarette smell in the room as well, although we asked for a non smoking room. The saving grace was it's location where it was a shopping complex with restaurants in it. Overall disappointing.

We stayed one night before heading to Valbona and one night after coming down from Theth. (They allowed free luggage storage which was a bonus.) The first night we couldnt sleep a wink due to loud guest, loud barking dogs, and loud neighbors. We mentioned this when we came for the second night and we were put up in a beautiful room and had a great experience. Get the front corner double room if you can. Breakfast is just omelette, cheese and bread, which was fine, but don't expect a big spread. It's located about 3 euro from the center/bus stop area, but can be walked if you don't have too much stuff. A little bit outside of the main area, but not by much. Overall, we had one not so good night that was more than made up for on the second night stay. So glad we gave them a second chance. We would. stay again if we were in the area

Everything was okay. I was traveling on a budget coming from Cambodia. I had to watch my spending while in Tirana, so I found this place to be one of the cheaper rooms in all of Tirana. It is not my favorite part of the city, but the staff is friendly and helpful, so I booked an extra three nights. Claudio, the receptionist spoke very good English, and was attentive and helpful. All in all, it was a very good value and a good experience.

the room was really nice and the whole house had just to be seen one time in life! the decoration is really different that usual and it makes it special. the people were so kindly and helpful even without speaking much English. the breakfast was very good and most probably made by the people there themselves. the accommodation ist very well situated with an amazing view of the town and the castle. We only had to walk like 10 minute to her to the castle or to bars / restaurant. 100% satisfied. we recommend it with no doubt!
