We had a great stay here. The beach club is amazing - I went every day and didn't encounter any of the problems I read about in previous reviews regarding sea lice. I was always able to find a chair in the shade and we had a lot of fun with the paddleboards and the over-water hammocks! The resort food is expensive - the taco shack was closed for the Easter holiday so our options were limited. We also found that some of the shacks were very expensive as well. Cheaper food is available in the town - a 40 minute walk, 15 minute bike ride, or $20 BZD away. The location (away from the center of town) is important to keep in mind when booking this resort. The resort has a great gym and amazing wifi everywhere.

My fiancé and I stayed 4 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we booked Greg and Ellis reached out through email to offer any assistance with upcoming trip including activities and tours we would be doing in other parts of country. I literally was in contact with them for months. They helped with any questions we had. Upon arrival we were greeted personally with awaiting transportation to property. It was like staying with friends. Great location about 2 minute walk to water and just about center of activity. The rooms were perfect. Clean. Comfortable. Cool. Breakfasts every morning over looking ocean. Food was delicious. Served by Greg and Ellis. Any tours or activities were set up by Greg with the BEST local tour guides. Every need was taken care of. Including daily and nightly recommendations for food and entertainment. We cannot say enough about this place and our time in Caye Caulker. We would never even consider staying anywhere else when we return someday. Save yourself some stress over where to stay. You will love Yocamatsu.

I had fantasies about having the luxury jungle lodge experience in Belize and thought I couldn't afford it. But Vanilla Hills delivered! Simple luxury, fine dining (plus a well-equipped kitchen), impeccable service, gorgeous location. Claudia, Franklin, and team met all of our needs in booking tours and provided helpful advice for San Ignacio. We loved having proximity to town (just a 10 minute ride by taxi/collectivo) and not feeling "stuck" like you might at some of the more remote lodges. Bullet Tree Falls is also just a short walk away and we enjoyed hanging out in the crystal-clear river there. Though there's a lot to do in the area, be sure to leave room in the schedule to relax on your porch!

Benito and the team were so helpful and catered for all of our needs! The cottages are clean and spacious and the facilities (golf carts, pool, canoes etc) and service at the resort was impeccable. Although there is no restaurant on site, the local restaurants and bars 5 mins walk away were amazing, especially Aji tapas bar. We loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat!

The Belcove is spotlessly clean and has friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Its location is just minutes from the historic Swing Bridge and the ferry terminals to the islands, with Brodies Supermarket also very close. My room (Room 33) was airconditioned and had a small refrigeratorMy bed was comfortable and the bathroom small but acceptable. Room 33 faces the street so occasionally there may be some noise. Dogs, of course, are everywhere. The rear terraces overlooking the Haulover Creek are superb.

Overall, super great experience. We loved our single room with our own bathroom- for being an actual hostel facility, it was super super nice. Only complaint, compared to other travels, it was not as inexpensive as I would have preferred. Locations is perfect (right in from of the Palapa bar) and I felt very safe to leave my things there. They even let us have late check out sine we booked a snorkel trip through them that ended later in the afternoon. Loved our stay here overall!

The staff at Sunbreeze Suites promptly answered questions in the months leading up to my stay. They also updated me about Hurricane Earl, which passed through the week before my scheduled stay. I was provided with an invoice/outstanding balance summary until my balance was paid in full. I was never asked to pay a cent more. It was optional to open a hold on my account once I arrived - I chose not to and was not asked again. This was refreshing. Maid service was excellent; we chose not to have our room cleaned while we were there but our maid accommodated our requests for clean towels, etc. The front desk staff was the best; they helped us rent a golf cart and book our flights through Mayan Air - at a discounted rate. I loved the central location, walking distance to convenience/grocery stores, restaurants, etc. This hotel also happens to be located right next to the pier where many excursions leave from. I would stay here again and again.

I really loved the Island of Caye Caulker. Really laid back and beautiful with good food. Our apartment was a decent size and overlooked the water. It was however very dated and in urgent need of a makeover. The air conditioning sounded like an aeroplane and kept me awake on the first night. Everything in the apartment was extremely old. Staff at desk were average and we had trouble checking in as they had lost our Agoda booking so we had to call Agoda with Skype. Check out the Iguana Inn which looks like the only modern hotel on the island. I also recommend Blue sea dive centre for the Blue hole as it was on of the best diving days of my life. Also Carlos tours for the incredible snorkelling with the sharks and Rays. I wouldnt stay at the Caye Caulker Oceanfront Condo resort again. Hugo - Australia

We only stayed one night, but Nature Resort is a very nice place to stay, sorrounded by nature and with the howler monkeys a short walk away. It is very clean, the staff is really good and the meals are very good and at a reasonable price. WiFi is poor and sometimes doesn't work at all. There are available local tours to see the crocodiles at night and also, day walks. Airport is a halh an hour away and their transport prices are cheaper than other shuttles

Hotel was clean, great value on San Pedro. The owner was very helpful and gave us a lift to the water taxi on the day that we left. Pool is *tiny* (max occupancy 6), but refreshing. Sunset from the rooftop was breathtaking. The budget room was small, but enough for two people who like each other. I also appreciated that it was the only hotel we stayed at on our visit to Belize that provided shampoo (I forgot mine).

I had a short stay in Belize City and Bella had great reviews at an affordable price. Laura and her staff were very helpful. They gave great recommendations, made sure I was comfortable and helped called me a taxi whenever I needed one. Hey also arranged a Lamanai tour for me. The room had AC, a TV with lots of channels, mini fridge and WiFi. They are lots of things to do and restaurants near by. Here is my two cents regarding safety. Belize City, as far as I can tell, is developing their city infrastructure. There are hardly any street lights making it completely dark when the sun goes down. How to mitigate this is through precaution. Call a taxi even if it’s a few blocks away. Forking up $5-10 BZE is a lot better than putting yourself at risk.

I decided to try a hostel on this trip and I selected McKay's hostel, it is a really family oriented place and they price I paid was beyond spectacular. No where in the city can you get free breakfast, AC, Room, Clean towels, hot bath and so on for the price I paid. It is more of a pleasant and welcoming home more than a hostel. The family who owns it goes beyond to make you stay great. I am baffled by persons who would rate the hostel low as I can surely say it is like you are paying little to nothing for a stay as the breakfast alone would cost you $10.00. I would stay at McKay's Hostel again

I was in the single budget room and it worked perfectly for me. The price was right and I feel that I had enough space and privacy. No aircon, but I didn't find myself hot as the room has a fan provided. The location is great and it is close to anything. Check-in/check-out and all other questions were easily answered. Everyone is great. Being a solo traveler on a budget, this place worked great!

Lovely place, great people but during the summer it was tough without a/c and unfortunately I probably had the worst room there with no air circulation without leaving my sliding glass door open all night long... which made me a little uneasy. Would I go back, absolutely but never to that room again. I probably should have said something and these people were so friendly n helpful that sure they would have given me another... so really it's on me.

This place is 10 minutes walking distance from the ferry port to a quite side of the island. Don't get mixed up with a BareFoot Hotel. Its a basic accommodation , room is very small and no wardrobe to hang your clothes or no much space to place your luggage , but it was fine for somewhere to sleep over 2 nights .Bathroom was again small but clean , aircon was working fine and wi-fi signal was good . Were were out all day so It was ok. Staff was welcoming and friendly and let us use bicycles for free during our stay . Which was a very nice touch as we manage to explored this beautiful island much quicker .

Rooms large, clean with very comfortable bed. Hot water for the shower. More than ample kitchenette with plenty of dishes and such. Breakfast or dinner can be provided at additional $ as well as a one way shuttle to the airport. Only about 2.5 miles from airport so is an easy walk as well (without luggage). We stopped by the inn and dropped our luggage, then returned our rental car to the airport a day early, an easy walk on a rainy day took less than an hour. Location is very quiet neighborhood. Dogs barked throughout the night (NOT the owners), but where in Belize can you go without barking dogs? Solid concrete walls helped to muffle the dogs. If you're on the fence about staying here, I suggest that you come down on their side if the fence. You won't be disappointed.
