Had a fab time at this hotel. The location was great, about 5 min walk to the main promenade of restaraunts and shops. A metro station was also 5 mins away which provided an easy transfer to the airport. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms were comfortable. Before you actually travel the hotel sends you a link to a secure booking area where you can send requests and choose a particular room, room 701 is a good choice as you have no neighbours either side. We had breakfast twice, basic but plenty of choice. We paid 5 lev to have it delivered to the room one morning also which was great value for money. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

The hotel is pretty nice, the outside swimming pool is very good with great staffs. Large good looking rooms with a nice outside view of the swimming pool and the area surrounded by other hotels and buildings. No breakfast alone- HB or nothing. Breakfast was very good, dinner was less good(meat was mostly very dry). Breakfast includes water and juices but dinner not, you must pay for drinks even for a tap water from a cooler is not given. It is not possible to eat without drinking that means you must pay additional charge for water or other drinks which can be annoying.

We stayed for a week after mid May with my son. Studio apartment was cozy and had everything we needed during our stay. We had dishes for cooking (no oven or microwave, but stove and electric kettle), still had our most meals outside as we walked around the GS area almost each day. Cleaning every day, new sheets every 3. day. Very friendly staff. Outdoor pool excellent, big and temperature at +26 in May. We had B&B, lot's to choose at breakfast. Freshly baked pancakes and eggs. I believe it is a very good hotel even when it's fully booked, now the season only starts in a while.

Stay in Hilton Sofia was lovely. We stayed at the executive room on floor 8 and got a big room and city view. We had booked a standard room for 80 Eur per night but receptionist recommended an upgrade for 40 Eur to executive floor which included breakfast (20 Eur pp) and free internet (10 Eur). We also had access to the executive lounge on the first floor. Parking was for extra. Enjoyed it, liked it.

The hotel is located directly at the City and you can walk from there to the most interesting places. Check In was very professional . If you book a room with twin beds than you will NOT have a view at all and you have to face only another house or wall.The other rooms are with a perfect view to the Cathedral.Breakfast variety is ok and we wished there was more traditional food offered. Service not always fast what makes it hard if you on a time schedule. Next to the hotel ( Sense Hotel) you should go to there Roofbar.AMAZING VIEW. We can recommend the Intercontinental very much.

Some reviewers have commented on the hotel's exterior and it is obviously not going to win any design awards. Inside, the hotel is fine and although the front desk staff were busy, the breakfast staff were accommodating when we mistakenly arrived late and the breakfast actually nice too. The rooms are clean and spacious enough and the hotel itself is well located near the coast. The main beach is nearby, yet people actually can't swim at this beach. The best swimming beach is about a 20 minute walk north through the park or along the coast and there, people can actually swim. The hotel is located close to enough restaurants and entertainment to keep almost anyone amused and it's also about two minutes walk to the bus stop where busses leave to the airport or bus station. The staff know all the important bus numbers as well.

We had a family 2 bedroom suite which was well laid out. Main room had bedroom (en suite), then another room with kitchen dining table and settees with TV and a balcony. The separate bedroom had its own bathroom which was ideal. Simple continental breakfast and reasonably priced meals during the day. Great outdoor pool with enough sunbeds and a decent gym. Not much English spoken by staff but enough to get by. Thoroughly recommend.

Overall, our experience at the hotel was good. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bath was well-appointed and the general feeling was of relaxed elegance. The staff were friendly and helpful and were extremely professional when registering and checking out. Our biggest problems were technical: as noted in many other reviews, the wifi was very poor (non-functional one day, which ordinarily isn't a problem but becomes a real nuisance when trying to reconfirm a flight!) but even more frustrating were the door keys. My husband and I each made several trips down to registration to get working keys - we were eventually given master keys, with the explanation that the machine which codes the keys was broken. Hopefully management will attend to these things as a hotel as nice as this (rated with 4 stars) should be able to provide reliable wifi to guests (and working keys would be nice, too!!) I definitely will go back to this hotel with great pleasure once I see the reviews improve a bit. It is in a fabulous location in the heart of Sofia, and anyone who stays there will be able to get a real feel for this great, yet undiscovered city.

- cheap decoration of the hotel was disappointing , all is made from fake materials e.g. plastic , even the bathroom's black tiles are made from plastic! - hotel's territory is small - the reception is at all not helpful, seems they do not know anything about the city or attractions - hotel's located in a noisy place - balconies are all open space, so you can not relax in private on the balcony

The hotel is near the stations, has large comfortable and clean rooms, and the desk staff are helpful. The city centre is a 15-minute walk down Maria Louisa Bvld, and the bus station a five-minute walk the other way. The cafes nearby are cheap and cheerful and there's a pizza restaurant downstairs if the weather's keeping you in. A pleasant stay and good value for money.

This is a first class hotel in a very run down part of Sofia. It is very convenient for the bus and rail stations which are a five minute walk away. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the hotel decor and furnishings are excellent, the breakfast buffet is very good. There are buses and trams that run down the street outside the hotel which is very convenient. The double glazing cuts out most of the street noise. We actually ate out the two evenings that we stayed, but the nearest decent restaurants are about a twenty minute walk away. Our room had air conditioning which unfortunately did not work.

Our stay was excellent. We had a wonderful room with the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced. The staff was ever so helpful, even posting our postcards and obtaining stamps for us. Every request we made was done cheerfully and promptly. The hotel was very popular and 2 weddings and receptions were held during our 4 day stay. The breakfasts were very good with fresh strawberries and cherries and other fruits, as well as eggs, sausages, cold cuts and great croissants. I can recommend this hotel to anyone! It is right on a tram line that takes you downtown in 5 minutes. I enjoyed my stay and would return to Hotel Forum.

First time at this hotel and it will not be my last.... it was really really good... the view was so good... mountains.... see the city of Sofia above...... it was peaceful, breathing fresh air.... good staff helpful.... tasty food.... good breakfast....... my friend and I were in single rooms absolutely super clean, all the amenities you need.....play area in the hotel for children.....and across from the hotel a children’s park..... great walks and cycle routes too..... the Boyana Church in walking distance....... couple of restaurants around too....the hotel is lovely..........

hill hotel is a top class hotel less then 15 mins from airport (7 euro) and 5 mins from city centre (3 euro)by taxi.the staff were very helpful.friendly and all spoke english very well.i stayed in double executive room.i got a great rate .this is good value for this standard hotel.they internet in lobby which was free.i found this good as i did noy have laptop with me.i would have like more shower gel and shampoo in the bath room.also dont hire car from hotel,very expensive
