Her lovely smiley face welcomed us every morning with an amazing breakfast in the most fantastic apartment. Definitely recommend this lovely accommodation - not only for its host (who took us in her car for a few mystery tours around the island) but also for its fantastic beachside location. Our room was cleaned every day of our 5 day stay and tea/coffee and cake was plentiful. If I could give this place 6 stars I would. FANTASTIC.
I advised thst my flight was delayed I gave them time of arrival. Although, the person in charge was sleepig and didn't answer the phone. I had to wait 1 hour out at night. The private room is inside a dorm and does not have any balcony or window. So, it's not like the description. It should say "shared balcony". They don't give any receipt when you pay.
Very pleasant stay at this very convenient location. Staff was helpful and very friendly, so nothing to complain, "Pontão" will always be first choice for Santa Maria.

I booked the same hotel this year because in 2012 I had a wonderful and relaxed stay. It was definitely not the case this time. Really disappointing.

The housekeeping service in room is not flawless. Always left out replacing the shampoo and soap. The lunch and dinner quality provided is average. We stayed 5 nights at this hotel, the owners (Samy and Maury) were very friendly right from the first moment, they went for the extra mile. They also gave us useful tips and helped to organize our programs and excursions. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Arla for a total of 6 nights, the staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpful were possible, we hired a scooter directly from Arla which was convenient, the room was clean and tidy. The location is a short walk to the fishing club. They dropped us off at the airport which was excellent. We would stay here again for sure.

Very nice and discrete staff. The place is quiete and not that far from the city center. The seaview from the balcony is deeply impressive. Place suited for a family.

Wonderful hotel where despite being located on the main road, which could be noisy, you can enjoy a relaxed sleep in a very modern room with all amenities to satisfy your wishes. The location is perfect, overlooking the sea and between the two main areas of the city. Below is a restaurant/barbecue, where you can enjoy nice local food and the very nice breakfast. The rooms are not very spacious but very comfortable anyway with everything you need and spotless clean. Avoid room 101, which has a noise from the airco engine standing on the wall behind what can be annoying but for the rest I give it a very good mark. A place to return and to recommend.

We were really annoyed that the hotel held two parties on two consecutive days. We were not given prior knowledge these were going to take place. The first started at 3pm and went on to after 8pm all teenagers. Very noisy and they were in the pool which meant we could not use the facilities. The second one was adults the following day this went on until after 9pm. ...
We were really annoyed that the hotel held two parties on two consecutive days. We were not given prior knowledge these were going to take place. The first started at 3pm and went on to after 8pm all teenagers. Very noisy and they were in the pool which meant we could not use the facilities. The second one was adults the following day this went on until after 9pm. Again in the pool and the restaurant meaning we could not use the restaurant as it was full. The reason we were at the hotel at these times was because my partner was unwell with a cold and the wind had got quite rough we had to come off the beach and as it stayed the same for 4 days we had to spend more time in the hotel. I personally would not want to go back there. I think that the hotel should have told the guests at breakfast that there were parties booked. Very disappointed.
