The hotel is well located in Tallinn downtown, very accessible to old town and the harbor. Room feels a bit outdated but comfortable. Gym is small and basic for what I needed during my short stay in Estonia. The rooftop bar is great spot to see the Tallinn's skyline, specially for sunset you will love it!

Unfortunately, the area around the hotel is a bit boring (you have to walk to Old Town to get food or anything else, but it's only 10 minutes until you're inside the area with shops). The spa was free for hotel guests and Wi-Fi in the rooms was free as well. These were two great aspects of the hotel. Unfortunately, the breakfast was okay (not great) and the restaurants were quite expensive. There is an Indian restaurant just down the street that is much better and cheaper. Anyway, I would recommend this hotel still if the food isn't going to be an issue. Enjoy!
The view is superb! The WiFi didn’t work at first but the staff (manager Sandra) was helpful and she came to my apartment to fix the issue. Everything was great. Will definitely visit again if I come back to Tallinn

Picking up the baggage at a later time (and checking-out) can be distressing because the apartment is located uphill, and climbing up-/down-hill with a heavy baggage along the rocky road like the Old Town's is definitely not a good idea! Except for that, everything is perfect. Room rate is fair; hardware is well-maintained and amenities are well-prepared.

We’ve stayed here a couple of times and really like it. A great location, very central and right next to the bus station (the bus service in Estonia is fantastic). The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is really, really good! The staff are friendly very helpful.
Stay was very nice, except two things: 1) We get two rooms, both located in different wings of hotel, so we can't leave our kids. 2) Terrible food served during dinner in hotel restaurant. I'm newer ever want to see this naked rabbit form main course. Also smoked pork was awful! Only positive side of dinner was our waitress, who serve us on higher level!
It was a very basic hotel. Room had only one electric plug point. I had to unplug the only table lamp to charge my mobile phone. Breakfast was also very basiic.

Pros: it’s close to all the best restaurants and attractions that Tallinn Old Town has to offer! It’s just opposite Tallinn Tourist Information Centre!! Cons: need a safety deposit box.

We absolutely loved this place - it's definitely one of the best places we've ever stayed. We loved the large home, the play place for our small kids, the ability to use the boat whenever we wanted, and the incredible views out the window. We really loved the seclusion, while still being a close drive to Viljandi, one of our favorite little towns in Estonia. The kitchen is beautiful & well-stocked, and the beds were comfortable. The only complaint (and a very small one at that), is that we weren't able to black out the rooms from the early-morning sun (would only matter for summer visitors). There are fun places to walk on the property, and we even saw some elk. We enjoyed grilling out almost every night. If you go (and you're not Estonian), you'll need a car and it would probably be good to have SIM card. We needed to call a few times because the GPS had a real problem finding the place. You won't regret coming here!
This place is so central,it is fantastic.The staff only got 4 stars ,because I did not interact with anyone other than in the check in process. The only drawback to the Villa is the stairs ,if you can handle those ,go for it .I would go back there.
The showerhead was quite weak at spraying water, and temperature of the water difficult to adjust. Also the cleaner only came once in my three-week stay, when I was told they would come in on the weekdays at least once a week. Aside from these issues, the apartment was in a great location and well-worth the money for its modern design.
We found the apartment very comfortable , clean and spacious. It had everything we required. Although a washing machine would have been useful for our longer stay. In a convenient location. Highly recommend
Great location, helpful staff and good breakfast. Be aware of check in times especially if you come in on overnight boat from Helsinki. You will need to kill time from 6AM until 3PM.

I absolutely loved it. It's a beautiful hotel in old stile. Staff were very accommodating , food was excellent ( warm home made bread !)new bathroom and shower, not like in other hotels in tartu. Valet parking , wifi, central location , couldn't ask for more ! Very happy !

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were big and quiet and the breakfast was the best ever seen and eaten. The location is best in town inside the park between the sea and town next to the castle.

I have travelled more than half of the world. It was the best hostel-staying experience I've ever had. You want to stay there, trust me.
Staff are attentive to make every visitor welcome. Rooms and beds are of good standard, common areas superior and evening group activities a great way to make contact with your fellow traveller. Main downer is insufficient bathrooms; the big dorm has a palatial one with sauna and hot tub but if one person takes over the whole space for an hour that's a big problem!
it's very spacious, with all the facilities needed. the staff were so friendly and nice, perhaps the best ones in tallinn. the hostel is not in the city center, but can be reached easily with trams. i recommend it!

I really enjoyed my stay. the hotel is in a very good location, close to the bus station and supermarket (around 2 min away) and Poltsamaa castle (around 5min away), it has a diner and a small pub also. It was very quiet in the evening, and the staff were very friendly. Perhaps the best hotel in Poltsamaa!

Sink in the kitchen needs a good scrub as well as dish detergent and hand detergent to be replenished. Detergents ran out for 2 days. Sink was full of dirty dishes and utensils in the morning. In house Wifi is good. Rimi supermarket is about 8 minutes walk away from hostel.

We had an excellent stay in the Looming hostel. The staff was friendly and helpful, who gave recommendations on what to see and where to go in Tartu. Rooms do not have own toilets or showers, but they were really decent and clean. In the summertime I can believe that the roof terrace is amazing to hang around, also the living room with hammocks was very relaxed and nice. Downstairs a great second hand store, and even though the hostel is a bit further away from the centre, walking in Tartu is nice and you can see a lot of interesting houses and buildings on the way.

This hostel was in a prime location IN an old building literally attached to a medieval wall. It is down the street from some of the best restaurants in the city. All the staff was amazingly friendly. Dario gave me wonderful advice about how to navigate the city and surrounding neighborhood using public transport. Staff chivalrously carried my luggage up and down the stairs. The place is immaculately clean. You have breakfast in a cozy kitchen where you meet really interesting work travellers. There is even a sauna if you want to use It!
Kuressaare is pretty small so the hostel is close to the bus station, town center and castle. It's clean and cosy! Adam, who owns the hostel, truly goes the extra mile for his guests :) highly recommend this listing especially since they're planning to develop the place further!

We stayed at Papli 2 for 6 days. Our holiday was the best for a long time. The hosts were very helpfull and kind. For budget travelers a good option. They have larger apartments too. We can only recomment this place for everyone. -Kaisu-

They told agent they would turn on the heating, unfortunately only that was only daytime when most of the guests were out sightseeing and the temp was about 15. When it came to the cold night, they apparently turned off the heating at 12 midnight. They did say I could use extra blanket, but I wasn't willing to do so because I found their cat pee on one of these blankets or mattresses. You can only find out when you heated it up with your body heat. Also, the showers was in the main building with a broken lock, the host turned off ALL the lights in the area as well as the hot water supply when they went to bed. It was around 2230. So after the 3 nights' stay, I eventually had a running nose. Other guests had bbq one of the nights and the dirty dishes etc were left in the sink and the rubbish was on the kitchen floor unattended at least for 2 nites

The electric heater kept us warm at 20 oC. The separate sauna/dining area was ready each evening to relax in. Three course dinners were served. DBB for two people for two night €84... The cottage had 3 beds but 2 were campbeds...better if 2 good beds. The toilet is DC and washing is the traditional way using hot water from sauna and cold water in bowls. ..winter temperatures are very low and no running water. This just added to the charm. There were 4 extra beds in the loft..ok for summer for families/groups.

friendly staff, everything very positive. high class for being a hostel. only minus was that there were no information in english regarding check out and what to do with keys etc.
Very tidy and homy setup with breakfast on low budget. Walking distance away from center with multiple restaurants and shops, but still really quiet and tranquile environment. Friendly personel, who made you feel at home. Lobby bar open all night, I think, but restaurant serves as breakfast room only during my stay. Not a problem, cause many options near by.

Awesome place to stay owner was a bit hard to find and many of the residents began drinking at 9:00 in the morning and continued until they couldn't walk. Added for some excitement tho

I stayed at this hotel with my wife for a city break taking in Tallinn and Helsinki in one trip, 10min walk from the old town and 10min walk to ferry terminal for Helsinki, staff on front desk and behind bar were very nice always had a smile, but we also said thank you back which in my view helps the service wherever I go, breakfast is a good selection has bacon , scrambled eggs , baked beans alone with hotdog sausages( not the real thing never is away from England), good selection of meats/cheeses and cereals, the bus to the airport is only 3min walk and you get off at tallink hotel , cost 1.6 euros each way (6 stops ) easy to sort and it is number 2 bus, shopping centre next to bus stop as well I WOULD STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN IF IN TALLIN

The hotel is well located in Tallinn downtown, very accessible to old town and the harbor. Room feels a bit outdated but comfortable. Gym is small and basic for what I needed during my short stay in Estonia. The rooftop bar is great spot to see the Tallinn's skyline, specially for sunset you will love it!

The spa was free for hotel guests and Wi-Fi in the rooms was free as well. These were two great aspects of the hotel. Unfortunately, the breakfast was okay (not great) and the restaurants were quite expensive. There is an Indian restaurant just down the street that is much better and cheaper. Anyway, I would recommend this hotel still if the food isn't going to be an issue. Enjoy!

Stay was very nice, except two things: 1) We get two rooms, both located in different wings of hotel, so we can't leave our kids. 2) Terrible food served during dinner in hotel restaurant. I'm newer ever want to see this naked rabbit form main course. Also smoked pork was awful! Only positive side of dinner was our waitress, who serve us on higher level!

I absolutely loved it. It's a beautiful hotel in old stile. Staff were very accommodating , food was excellent ( warm home made bread !)new bathroom and shower, not like in other hotels in tartu. Valet parking , wifi, central location , couldn't ask for more ! Very happy !

Note that hotel is situated in the pedestrian only part of the old city which meant that we had to walk +/- 200m from nearest taxi access, only a slight problem, if like us, were on an extended holiday with three largish suitcases. Generally very good value for money.

We left our main suitcases in the hotel in Helsinki in which we stayed at either end of our trip to Tallinn and walked from the Lindaline dock to the hotel (about 15 min). The hotel was perfectly placed and one of the fun places we've stayed in. A bunch of old buildings were renovated and interconnected, so walking to our room was a kick. The room was large enough and very quiet--good beds and good showers. All in all, this helped make it a memorable 24 hr in Tallinn.

Location is also very good, hotel is situated in heart of city - in old town. The style of hotel is very interesting. My room : clean, warm - sometimes to hot so i turned down the temperature; TV, safe, desk, fridge, no wardrobe, design of room is very nice (mixed white wavy walls with woodean beams and bricks); bathroom - small but clean and had underfloor heating, the towels were changed every day. Breakfast: very tasty, a large selection, warm and cold products, the bread was ok but baked rolls werent to fresh.. Staff: helpfull, friendly... just Staff :)

I may sound like I work for the place, but I don't, just had a wonderful time at the hotel and Tallinn over all, which is a beautiful city and a must see for any world traveler. I look forward to returning to Estonia sometime in the future.
The concept and design of hotel space is great taste. Room is clean and new. Love the restaurant and indoor pool atmosphere. Helpful staffs. Quality lovely breakfast for start up my morning in Tallinn. Recommended!

It's fully self contained with TV, fridge, washing machine, oven etc and wifi. It's superbly located, close to the old city square, but far enough away not to be disturbed...

It's fully self contained with TV, fridge, washing machine, oven etc and wifi. It's superbly located, close to the old city square, but far enough away not to be disturbed by party goers. There are no staff located at the apartments, so make sure you set a time to meet the owner to get hold of the keys!
