Having stayed in a variety of hotels, guest houses and lodges all over Ghana, I was delighted to stay, for my final night, at this truly 5 star hotel right on the beach. The room was large, very well appointed, clean and everything worked! Service was cordial and thoughtful, buffet excellent - wonderful variety and good value for money too. Wines were pricey but good. Location on the beach a plus, and the pool looked very clean and inviting. Complimentary shuttle to the airport a real plus. Definitely would stay here again!

The hotel was excellent, very comfortable and spacious rooms and a place to relax with not disturbance. Location too was good close to the airport. The chauffeur was polite and professional including the porters, staff at the restaurants. They were very polite, helpful and friendly, However, the staff at reception needs more improvement in regards to attending to customers which management needs to look into. On the evening of our arrival it was only one staff member attending to about 4 visitors who had arrived. The manager was there but did not assist and this poor staff lady had to attend to all four therefore we had to wait in the lobby for 20 - 30 minutes to be checked into our rooms. Management should look into this to at least have 2 staffs at the desk to attend to visitors no matter what time of the day it is otherwise there would be bad reputation given. The hotel is absolutely beautiful but surprisingly relatively quiet for the Christmas period. We arrived very late in the evening and it was quite disappointing there was no-one there to greet us at the entrance or help us with our luggage. Reception didn't seem very approachable to start off with there was a mixup with our booking however after a few days of settling in and eventually resolving the booking issues it was a relatively pleasant stay I would recommend the teething problems are easily resolved and not something that would put me off returning again

The Monarch Hotel Staff were very accommodating making our long stay pleasurable. I would not mind going back to this hotel on our next visit to Accra. One improvement that can be done though is the time to prepare breakfast. Sometimes it took us an hour to get our breakfast, so we had to call way earlier in advance to have it prepared.

I arrived at the hotel at about 7:30am(less than 20mins from the airport without traffic) and immediately i gave them my booking details i was shown to my room and served breakfast. Just what i needed. On the second night of my stay i fell ill. The staff was so caring, even going out of their way to make sure i had all i needed. The receptionist Mary and the cab driver Daniel were both awesome, they deserve a raise!

We had a lovely 5 nights at Coconut Grove using it as a base for local exploration. It is a peaceful haven to stay, self contained and comfortable with a fabulous beach location. Swimming in the sea needs care because of the waves and currents but there is a good swimming pool with convenient bar. The staff are excellent. I highly recommend this was a place to stay in the Cape Coast area

Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Couldn't have been more sweet, Awesome Breakfast Buffet . Place Of Convenience .

Staff were courteous and helpful ( Vincent in the restaurant, Emmanuel and Enoch at front desk). Pool area is beautiful and exceptionally managed. The sea breeze by the pool side was super relaxing. The room and bathroom were luxurious. Loved the meals: delicious with a wide variety. Truly a beautiful and peaceful place. Highly recommended!

The Location of the Hotel is a bit far from City Centre but very great for Traveller that want to have a quiet stay with beach. Due to the heavy traffic in Accra it can take you up to 2 Hours to get from Airport to the Hotel

I stayed one day so could not see much but what I experienced was fantastic. Comparable to some of the good hotels abroad in Europe and America.

Fantastic staff that goes the extra mile. Stay was great. AVH has the best price for value than any other hotel in Accra.......as I have stayed at all the good ones

Very accommodating and friendly staff in every department of the hotel. Felt very comfortable asking questions and they were extremely helpful and polite. The courtesy shuttle to the airport was a wonderful service.

The staff are EXCELLENT. This is why I keep returning. However the OWNERS, not the management, need to improve and update the rooms. For example the carpet in my suite was stained, and the top sheets were frayed. I also put a request in for a vegan diet, yet I had to go out and buy my own non-dairy creamer for tea/coffee and was unable to have cereal on the first day, again because of the milk situation. The kitchen staff were seemingly, completely unaware of my vegan request. For the wonderful staff alone, I would recommend Sunlodge, but would also highlight the shortcomings.

Very nice and friendly hotel. Not cheap to be in Ghana but not very expensive either. The rooms very new renovated since my last visit earlier this year.Good breakfast and excellent pool site. Good gym too. Excellent location close to the big market and the national museum.

This time I was given a room in the 4th floor; very nice, good view airy. Like I have said before, on weekends, it is a bit noisy and bustling with activity, but I enjoyed my stay nonetheless. Staff are quite helpful.

I have been travelling to Accra for many years and haven't stayed at this hotel. I was recommended by a friend and I was very impressed with this hotel. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I travel back to Accra.

My fiance and I stayed at the Pink Hostel for 4 days while in Accra. We enjoyed our stay and really thought that the staff was helpful. There are plenty of good restaurants around, some within walking distance. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay at a clean and friendly hotel on a budget.

there was a bad odour from this hotel as the work was going on with paint wood n all. food is not soo great either.

There is not much available in Accra in this price range. Tribeca fills a mid-range need, breakfast and dinner included is also a big plus.

terrible left after one day I arrived after my flight was met with miserable staff drinking coffee they had no booking for me I had a few minerals and they charged top prices. they also omitted to give me change of money presented Overall i would not , as a foreigner stay here for anything

Cracked mirror. The fittings where rusty and old. Dirty walls etc. I booked 3 days left after 2. Agoda you have given this an untrue rating and I expect 1 days refubd. The pool was dirty and full of flies. I went to off a young man maybe son of managers was rude and aggresive and tried to intimidate me. This is another example of rip off Africa overcharging for slum like accomodation. Agoda do not check these places.

with exception of the food and the service at the restaurant, i can say that our stay was satisfactory.

The hotel was comfortable and great value for money. I had a good night sleep and quite relieving to find such a place after a tedious journey. i like the way they made an attempt to pick me up at the airport when i made the request via email though i didn't wait for them as i boarded a cab due to gap in communication. Overall, my stay was pleasant and i would go there again when i am in Ghana.

Stayed for 5 days and it was one complaint to the next. Wifi didn't work in the room and we had to always come to the reception to get connected. Hotel management could not fix that until we left. Breakfast was forced on you. No choice at all. You either eat what they have or you starve. A lot of the equipments didn't work properly. The gym had equipments that were old and didn't work anymore. The plus is the scenery. That's what they use in attracting guests but unfortunately their service leaves a bitter taste. A lot of what is promised while booking isn't given. At a point the manager tried defending the hotel saying they were a 2 star hotel and possibly cant be given all the things i mentioned which was by the way stated that they offered. Cable tv was non existent... i could go on and on. To cut the long story short... I won't recommend this hotel to anyone

At arrival the reception didn't know I had booked a room from Agoda. I had to resend my confirmation email to the manager. Please sort that out. Also there is a part of the outdoor restaurant that needs fixing if that is done the place has potential to be a very good holiday destination.

Great experience. This hotel has excellent location, great services, and wonderful facilities.
