Beautiful place kept spotlessly clean throughout with large bandas with sea view and a troupe of Colobus monkeys that mind their own business for added interest. Food was nice, but as both lunch and dinner are buffet, and with similar dishes recurring it all gets a bit repetitive for a long stay. It could really do with theme nights to ring the changes and some completely different light snacks for lunch like fish sandwich or samosas. Curiously no avocados were seen throughout a 2 week stay, and coffee was instant, a travesty for an Italian managed establishment in Kenya. Nice to be able to break off for complimentary afternoon tea though. Attentive and prompt bar waiter service in restaurants and beach. Adequate bed mattresses. We only went scuba diving once as the boat used is a small former game fishing boat that has not much space or shade and no racks for tanks. With 4 divers kitting up on our dive on a cramped space on the deck, seasickness unsurprisingly followed and only 1 diver went down for the 2nd tank dive. Toiletries are unbranded, so if you are particular what you use, best advised to bring your own. Fast wifi everywhere. Hot water relies on diesel generator power, and was off for most of our stay until repairs were completed, but they did apologise, upgrade our room instead and fixed it. A few beach vendors present, but they do not hassle you and stay below the high tide mark away from the beach loungers.

The location is fantastic, rivalling places in Zanzibar at which we have stayed. Two lovely pools! Snorkelling can be done just off the two private white sandy beaches (no problem with beach boys)! A variety of accommodation to suit your needs , including self catering! It is in a remote place so without your own transport it could be a problem if you want to try other restaurants, however taxis can be arranged. The staff are fantastic, friendly and attentive!

My Fiancé and I visited Voyager Beach resort in Mombasa. Our trip was fantastic. All the staff at the hotel was friendly. When we arrive the guard at the gate, blow a horn and said the queen has arrived. I felt very special. When I arrive at the front desk, the staff was kind and helpful. I was exhausted from my long trip, and they made sure I had something to drink and was conformable until my room was ready. The guy that took me to my room give me a lot of information on the resort, someone also called my room during the day to make sure everything was ok. Later on that day and for the rest of our trip we went to the main restaurant where we ate many mouthwatering dishes and I must say my fiancé, and I fell in love with everyone that we meet and everyone that serve us at the restaurant. I have stayed at a number of hotels in Nairobi over the years and this is the best by far, as for the quality of the facilities it provides excellent value. The staff are very warm and helpful and make sure you have a great stay, the food in the restaurants is of a very high quality. The rooms are very clean and extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay here as you get all the five star facilities but without the high price of other five star hotels in Nairobi.

We arrived early morning with a 24 hour layover which meant we were not staying overnight. The hotel accommodated an early check-in at 6am without charging extra, but the airport transfer cost to the hotel you do have to pay for. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's an old world charm hotel which I found very beautiful. There is an "old" smell in the rooms which could be likened to a damp smell but the rooms are clean,big and really cater to what you need. The water however, did not go beyond lukewarm in the shower. It's an affordable stay but no shops or amenities around the area. Traffic is horrendous so taking a taxi anywhere was a no-go due to time, the hotel is 20mins away from the airport but in peak traffic it takes over 2 hours to get to! However, the hotel is way more affordable than many closer to the airport and suited us for the time we spent there.

As usual, Margaret welcomed me with open arms when I checked in. She’s a real star, being welcoming and yet professional at the same time. But my ultimate is going for breakfast every morning - your team of Rose, Pauline and Grace are the best. I got flu while I was there and missed breakfast - I called the restaurant after 14h00 to ask Pauline what she would recommend- she insisted I come down and she would help me - she ordered soup and made me Dawa. I had about 4 cups of Dawa and felt better by the same evening. They checked on me for the rest of my stay offering Dawa at every instance they could.

They staff are very professional in every way most impressive is how professional they look in their uniforms .I am a frequent traveller who have stayed in so many hotels in different countries and to be honest they staff at Best Western are indeed above and beyond.I will recommend this hotel to any friend who intend to visit Nairobi , will also stay in this hotel on my coming soon visit to Kenya Nairobi.

Excellent all around. Nairobi is a city known for security problems and the Serena is a sanctuary of safety within the city. Quiet, peaceful, with marvelous decor and lovely but small garden. Pool side dining is excellent. Staff was the best I have every found anywhere. VEry friendly and treated me like family. Other clientele are interesting from all over world, but family friendly at same time.

Pros: beautiful property, friendly staff, delicious food, right on the beach, flexible check in/check out, EXCELLENT service. Cons: we went right before the busy season, so there weren’t many people there. For us, we didn’t mind bc we only wanted to relax, but if you’re looking to party rather than relaxation, maybe this isn’t the place for you. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay here. The staff went out of their way at every level. Since the hotel wasn’t busy, we were upgraded to the Colobus Suite (#19) for free. It was the perfect suite to relax, enjoy the scenery and see all the monkeys jumping around. We got the half board (breakfast & lunch incl) which made sense. The portions are large and you can swap dinner for lunch. Drinks weren’t too expensive. If you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay with top service - this is the place. Diani Beach is beautiful. We will be back for sure.

Prior to and after being on safari I have found this hotel to be a real haven as a stop over to just rest or reorganise for the next leg of my Kenyan journey. Not too badly priced compared to equivalent hotels in same area. Staff are very welcoming and try to accommodate you in the best way they can. Beds are luxurious and hotel is generally quiet. A very pleasant stay thank you

I have been to Nairobi many times for the embassy but I wish I would have found this place before. So close to the US embassy and so close to village market. We walked there a couple times in our stay and only took us 15 minutes. The staff was incredibly friendly and so helpful. We ran into a problem right away with our money and they helped so quickly. Thank you! And I will definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The greeting by the receptionist was warm and friendly! She quite understood that I could not use a shower over a bath due to a recent hip replacement so moved me to another room which had a fantastic walk in shower. The room was very pleasant, though I noticed stains on the carpet. The bed was very comfortable but had a heavy, lumpy duvet.....shame as the sheets etc were nice! Continental breakfast was adequate, with fresh fruit. The croissants could have been better though! I will use it again as it's only ten minutes drive to the airport!

This hotel is frequented by visitors to UNON. Rooms are small but clean though the bathrooms are very small. The hotel offers a free shuttle to UNON in the morning and has a reasonable 2000 KS transport fee to and from the airport. Breakfast was quite basic. The hotel also offers a taxi service, but I found that Uber was much cheaper. Also, UN staff should check with the hotel if the UN rate is cheaper than what's advertised.

We had a one night stopover between voluntary work placements in Kenya and Tanzania. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were courteous, friendly and attentive, our room was delightful and spotless and everything worked including the welcome airconditioning. The pool and gardens were nicely maintained and the meal we ate in the restaurant very good. We thought our booking through Agoda represented excellent value and we would recommend both the hotel and Agoda to anyone visiting this area

This place was far more than my husband and I anticipated despite reading all the wonderful reviews. It's a natural oasis with a touch of pizazz. We had a tent right on the water which allowed us to do a lot of nature viewing. The wildlife here is incredible. There are so many different bird species. We saw hippos all day, and even had one pass under our abode, lol! We were sitting outside and we felt the abode shake a little, I had heard a hippo grunt in the area from behind the abode, then we looked to the side and there it was, just passing by. It is truly amazing. Also, the service here is stupendous. They really know how to deliver a top notch customer service experience. From the waitstaff to housekeeping to the security guards. They are all wonderful. Each night we got a turn down service, we were escorted to and from dinner (they insist on this due to the animals). I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves and appreciates nature, but also appreciates first class service. I would like to add, we are vegans. The meals are buffet and for the most part we were able to eat very well. Only a couple times did we have to ask for a little more, i.e., the spinach had butter and we requested some without. We also requested rice for breakfast and they quickly provided it for us without complaint. They even went as far as making a vegan chapati for us one evening, from an earlier in the day request. Also, the manager asked the chef to make us a vegetable soup without cream, for lunch one day. So you see, customer service really gets no better than this. Also, this is coming from someone who is not generally a fan of Kenya as a whole. My only complaint is that at night, due to the unseasonable weather, I was absolutely freezing! I literally had to sleep in yoga pants and two pullovers. We asked if they had any small heaters and of course they didn't, as I anticipated they wouldn't. I was just so desperate I thought I would ask.

The hotel was very convenient for us - airport transfer service is included, but communication was not good, so we ended up taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel. The hotel rate we received from Agoda was acceptable. Breakfast, I was told by the staff, was not included in the rate, and was an additional $25.00 per person. That, I felt, was totally unreasonable...later I found we could have ordered a great breakfast for under $10.00! The bed was huge - the room new, clean and fresh. The staff friendly and accommodating, but the mattress was too hard. We would most definitely be checking rates here when we travel in and out of the country. And,w e do recommend this hotel for others traveling into Kenya.

I cannot say there was any cons just pros. I arranged my flight to the Mara strip and met by my driver and guide throughout my stay at the lodge. He was welcoming and as my visit continued turned out to be one of the kindest human beings ever. He made sure the group and myself he was assigned to enjoy all a safari could offer at anytime of the day. In between these safaris the Logde provided delicious food and night entertainment by way of song and traditional Masi welcoming. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The sceneries out side your room are incredible seeing various creatures just on your door step. Point to highlight and note: Safries and reservation fees are extra. However like I said all well worth it. This is an experience everyone at some point in their life should treat themselves to.

We enjoyed the swimming pool, staff, meals, and the location of this property. Samburu is expensive at most places and this was more reasonable than most with good amenities. We were disappointed that water was not included during meals and all water was served in plastic bottles. A little more ecology would be great. Overall, comfortable beds and great scenery.

For a person who is part of a five star hotel we usually notice very small mistakes but trust me when never found anything to complain about .From the time I made the bookings to the time I needed the adjustments everything was perfect . As we were traveling a group of 4 and I needed an extra bed which the hotel did not provide I expected a negative respond only to be surprised by the Reservations manager Mercy who responded to my email swiftly to my surprise . Even as I kept calling and asking questions the phone was always answered to my satisfaction. Now came the D- Day and we walked in to this beautiful building with amazing people in it . Whoever trained the staff hats off to you ..There was never a time the staff did not have a smile on their faces and were always helpful .I was quiet surprised that all of them remembered and addressed me by name even the bar man remembered what we were drinking the previous day .. The room was always spotless and perfectly done each and everyday .I have recommended to all my friends relatives and clients for I know they will not be disappointed .I have found a second home at English Point Marina . As a business traveler I don't like to stay in 5 star hotels. Around the world, they are all the same so you are culturally lost in space. Even the customers are all he same. This hotel hosts many different activities and there is a flow of local people. A definite plus if you want to see the culture. With respect to the hotel, it is quiet, clean, well located and has an excellent kitchen. I was there for 1 week and every meal was excellent. What is missing to be over-all excellent 3 star hotel, is a lounge area and a business center. However this is not a big problem because most people lounge on the patio / dinner area and the front desk will help you with whatever business needs you have. Every day I had several meetings on the patio and there were never any problems. As a plus, it is also a conference center and 1 day I held a meeting with 35 people. Prices were very good and things went without a hitch. We were offered a tea/coffee break, with snacks and a full buffet lunch. Everyone was impressed. What more does a business man need to do. I would suggest this hotel to anyone. Negative comments are from people who book 3 star hotels and expect 5 star conditions. Disregard them. When you travel you need to experience things, not expect the same as back home. If you want the same as back home, then stay home.
