I liked the hotel last year. I was unable to fly to Latvia this year because my passport expires in January! I didn’t know this regulation until I presented my passport to get my boarding pass at the airport; so, I couldn’t cancel in time to get any refund...

The best parts of this accommodation were the proper room-cleaning service and assorted, high-quality breakfast in the mornings. The bathroom and bedroom were modern, clean and great value for money. It's a slightly longer walk into town (especially from the center/riverside), but Riga has plenty of restaurants and supermarkets near Gertrudes ielas anyway. My hotel keycard stopped working and I had to replace it several times, but the staff were always friendly enough to help me with it.

I traveled to the Balkans, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Helsinki. I wanted to be around snow for the holidays. Riga, Latvia is this review PROS: The Staff was very nice an accommodating. The room was upgraded and quite big. This hotel was well placed just 5 minute walk to the city center and Christmas Market. The Breakfast was good and diverse. CONS: The hotel is in a good location relative to how far from City Center BUT it is sandwiched between several PUBS and they go from 4 am. You will hear nightly loud music and partying and drunks outside til 5 am. I have lived in the city and was able to drown it out but for those who are light sleepers, this may not be the place for you. I was only here for 3 nights so tolerable but any longer I would have booked another hotel.

This is a middle class hotel not far away from old town. Good value for money, but not fancy. It's not in the center, but if you like a short walk through nice surroundings, it's allright.

Lovely big room, comfortable beds, clean. Best to stay on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday as it is a party street the rest of the nights hence the earplugs supplied by the Hotel and the triple glazed Windows, or ask to stay at the back and not on the street side. Breakfast was excellent. Close to bus Station and the old town. Good Restaurants and bars in the Party street though. Loved Riga.

Best value for money. Live cooking counter for breakfast, which is never seen in Europe. Close proximity to major places. Not to forger the free steam/sauna/jacuzzi in the morning! One of the best places i have stayed in recently.

It was pretty great value for double room. I was quite surprised how well hotel staff spoke English since latvians generally aren't that great at English. Visiting pools and saunas was also free of charge until 18:00 every day and it was pretty good, many different pools and saunas. Breakfast was mediocre by hotel breakfast standards. There is Baltic Beach Hotel less than 1km from this hotel and their breakfast was much better, but they are also more expensive hotel, so can't complain much. I also wish visiting pools and saunas would be free of charge for guests at all times, not just until 18:00, but for that price I can't really complain, it was definitely worth the money

Perfect place little bit away from the town center (i.e. very quite) but still in close proximity to supermarket and bus stop. Very friendly staffa and well equipped apartment. Really great choice if you need some silence and retreat.

in general i would recommend this hotel.everything was good and comfortable.staff were excellent and price was very reasonable. distance from airport is only about 20 mins if there are no traffic jams. easy to access for taxis and to walk to old town. free wireless in rooms is a major bonus. rooms are well furnished and of a good size although not very big. for a business traveller it is a great hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay (3 nights) at the Pullman Hotel. The hotel was very nice, spacious rooms, good facilities, superb breakfast and very well located in the center of old town. I can really recommend this hotel.

Location near the lake and sunrise is the best! Very good breakfast including the salmon etc. Clean and comfortable room, cheap price, about 30 Euros per night with breakfast for two persons. Very friendly staff. I think that this hotel Baltvilla near the lake of Baltezers is one of the best hotel with friendly room price near the Riga, for travellers with car who likes romantic, cosy etc.

I love the place! Everything is so beautiful! Breakfast was amazing too. Top notch all around. Would be fantastic if the female receptionists could be a bit more friendly. Other than that it’s perfect. Highly recommended. Best stay of my entire trip. Because it’s a bit more expensive than the other options it tends to have an older crowd.

Everything was excellent.The nature around is beautiful.People in the reception are super! Hotel staff is very attentive and helpful.I will recomend this hotel.

Pros: - Very lucky with an early check in. I arrived around 7am after my flight and expected to be able to leave my luggage, that's all. I was surprised and very grateful to be be allowed to check in to my room then and there at no extra charge. Thank you! - buffet extensive and fresh and always refilled. - clean, especially the bathroom and bedding. - location, right in the middle of everything in the city centre. 10-15 minutes walk to Old Town. - super friendly reception crew :) Cons: - Floors creak with every step, no matter how softly you tread. - lift on my level was out of order in the morning 2/4 nights I stayed, back to operation very quickly however.

I had a great stay ay Wellton Old Riga Palace Hotel. My flight landed after 11pm, and I was at the hotel after midnight, nevertheless I was warmly greeted by all staff and was checked in quickly. The single room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the room had an iron and ironing board, a safe, a TV, and a very comfortable bed. To my mind, the breakfast buffet was also great. Another good thing about this hotel is that it's located in the quiet side of OLD CITY, therefore you are far away from all the hustle and bustle. On the other hand, I was not fully satisfied with the selection of TV channels, even for Latvia it was very poor. Also, the shower was a little too small, I do not consider myself to be tall or mighty, but it was hard to take a shower in such a small space. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay and will stay again on my next visit to Riga.

Attractively furnished hotel in central location. Travelled with friend and obtained twin beddded room booked at short notice, excellent rate.Good quality fittings in bedroom and bathroom. Room was quite small and soundproofing between rooms poor. Nice to have kettle in room,but why only 2in 1 satchels of coffee.? I am allergic to milk and was told no alternative available. Puzzling when black coffee is widely popular in Europe. Satisfactory buffet breakfast. Efficient pleasant staff. Disappointing that pool and spa were only free for superior rooms.

This is the place to stay! Our three night stay, from check in to departure, was well above our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, the gym/sauna much appreciated, and the location excellent for anything one might want to do downtown Riga. We enjoyed both the hotel and it's surroundings. Unfortunately we did not eat in the restaurant, but since the knowledgable and friendly bartender was a part of the great team that is at Ridzene, we are convinced that the experience would have been excellent with a wonderful staff and selection also in F&B. We booked a massage for our last afternoon on Riga. This service was much appreciated, and it was great not having to leave the hotel for this. Excellent work Ridzene! We will definitly return next time we are in Riga.

Nice hotel, good location, tasty breakfast. Could get 5 stars, but the restaurant staff is very rude, the guy who is working in a breakfast should learn how to behave with hotel guests. Everything else was just perfect. Good value for money!

We had a fantastic weekend in Riga, and where happy to spend quite some time at the hotel, the restaurant, spa area and the room itself. February was apparently far from tourist season, so neither the Old Town or the hotel was crowded. We where able to use the spa with sauna and steam bath whenever we wanted. A great restaurant with fantastic food and service, and they supplied us with gluten free food on request. We'll stay at Neiburgs next time as well.

I stayed here for one night while waiting for a coach, bus in the morning. This hostel was a great value at only 12 euros or $14.42. It has a nice location. 10 minutes away from the bus station, a 2 minute walk to food (including KFC), and a 5 minute walk to the mall that has a grocery store in it. Central location in the capital, yet the price is still affordable. When I first arrived I was gleefully greeted by a young women at the front desk with really black hair. She was extremely inviting and enthusiastic. She invited me & told me all the times details to the nights festivities, though I didn't attend because I was exhausted. You also get a welcome shot and a towel. All of the beds come with little curtains for privacy. Overall this was a good place to stay for a night. Only problems were no soap in the bathrooms, the outlets aren't secure (my charger kept falling on my head while I slept) , you might get confused with the building structure where to go, and the kitchen is tiny.

We had room with jacuzzy and it was just epic. The jacuzzy was huge and we had such a blast with my girlfriend. Can'e even recall how many hours we spend there in our 2 night stay, we couln't just get enough. I definitely recommend to take room with jacuzzy, you won't regret it.

Of all the hotels I've stayed in in Latvia (5) is this simply the best. Staff everywhere are smiling and friendly: Cleaners, receptionists and waiters and bartenders. (You cannot take that for granted in Latvia....) My room was nice, with a good view. The park outside is nice and it's so easy to get to downtown Riga in no time with the public transportation just outside the hotel.

there is no sign board “ mimimi hotel” and can not enter the building without entrance code. You need to ask them when you made reservation. I was waiting for 30 mins and I couldn’t find out where is the entrance.. but I called them, luckily I had EU phone number and could text them. Until the accommodation looks not nice at all.. but inside is very clean!i think they renovated. highly recommended!!

A bit off the very centre, the hotel is an island of the 21 century among one hundred years old buildings. Clean small rooms. Perhaps not intended for a long term stay. The breakfast's cost seemed high. Public transport stops and a few small grocery stores nearby., a fast-food restaurant in a walking distance.

Staff were very friendly and helpful Room was modern and clean Breakfast was basic - but that's ok as it is free Would recommend this hotel and stay here again I arrived via bus and walked there to check in but on the way back got a taxi for €7 back to the bus station It is walking distance to Old Town - may take 20 mins

The hotel is closed to the old town and also to the center. It’s quiet and the rooms are nice. The staff are fantastic. We were leaving at 4.30am and they prepared breakfast for us . Great hotel

Beautiful hotel perfect location It is probably the best hotel in town. Very beautiful and great view from most of the rooms. Restaurant is very good and staff is very friendly.
