The property is beautiful, with lots of interesting pathways among the buildings and gardens. Long waterfront stretch with great view of the sea and Goree Island. The beach is too rocky and rough for swimming, but hotel has a large pool. Restaurant and bar overlook water. The food is good, if somewhat ordinary. My room’s carpet and furnishings were a bit old and worn ( some other rooms were being renovated). The room had a small fridge, safe, flat screen TV. WiFi signal was reasonably good. Each room has a small balcony overlooking the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. They spoke English (but I mostly used French). The neighbourhood was quiet and residential, but some restaurants and businesses were a 15-minute walk away. Taxis were always available right outside the hotel. The road outside was nice for early morning walk or run, with great views. Hotel arranged reliable airport transfers.

Long wait in a queue to check-in. That's not 5-star service. My reservation was for a €500 per night Business Suite with separate common meeting salon from bed area. I did not received this and instead got an open room. Apparently, the room given was part of an extension to the hotel and it was obvious to me that little details in the room had made it an incomplete offering by the hotel. Poor lighting in the room. Television was not set up or connected to the cable or electrical outlet. All in all for such an expensive hotel, I was amazed by the poor staff services. That's Africa for you!

this is my second stay at novotel. my first stay was better. the bed was 2 twin beds combined, while i would have preferred a full or queen (like my first stay). the wifi was good, slower than than my first trip though. although good still for africa standards. the food is pretty good in the restaurant downstairs. free shuttle to airport is good, but i had to wait half an hour to an hour for shuttle to pick me up from the airport (something about the other shuttle broken down) and it also shares with the pullman. so it's not direct and can take some time. just make sure you have enough time to make it.

my complaint is not about the hotel, but Agoda, you have let me booked the room while the hotel didn't have empty rooms anymore. and after calling you guys to find a solution, Agoda let me wait for an email that was suppose to be sent, but never came. and i waited there without a room and and no solution came from you guys. Thank you and this is the last time i use your system to book for a room

This is definitely a great choice in Dakar, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room is well done with very good mosquito control, I have not seen one mosquito since my stay. Very clean and towel were soft, water consistent, extremely fast wifi. Nothing to complain about this place! Definitely recommended for Dakar. It is also in a nice area, not far from the beach with some extremely nice sea view restaurant.

Aasleta, Mrs. Sadd's daughter was wonderful and eager to help us with anything that we needed. Mrs. Sadd arranged for someone to pick us up at the airport however, when we arrived we could not find them. There were many men with signs but none with our name or the name of the home. We took a bus and a taxi to reach the home. It was not on a good area to our surprise. When we got their Mrs. Sadd requested the money for her driver. (Almost the same cost of the night's rent). because she said we were supposed to call her. She did not mention that in her emails. Then we asked for them to arrange a ride to St. Louis for us and they told us it would cost so much. We had research before we came to Senegal about prices so we contacted our neice in St. Louis about a ride and she got us a ride which was 1/2 the price. Also there was a faint gas smell in the living area and we both woke up with congestion and headaches to which we continue to have 2 days after. We aare very disappointed.

Had trouble finding the place due to a misleading map on Agoda (it's the house behind the Feto hotel) but staff member Karim was really excellent in helping with directions. He's kind and considerate beyond measure and the house is clean and homely and good value for money. Yoff, however, is about a 20-30 minute bus ride to the city centre, but it's close to some beaches.

Stay and perfect location stay beautiful Perfect stay in this friendly hotel situated squarely on the beach! We had chosen a room facing the sea: divine! Waking up in the morning, open the curtains and discover the beach at our feet is a magical moment ... We had to play prince is commanded our breakf and he was taken on our terrace in love ... really princely ... The rooms were being renovated with taste: mix iron forge, tissue "class" and king size bed with orthopedic mattress ... ... incredible to find this in a 3 star hotel in Senegal ... The staff is very friendly and pleasant while remaining in their places Very good restaurant ... and nice beauty salon, an undeniable + ... We think only one thing: to return as soon as possible! Again thank you to the team Mermoz!

We were a group of 6 friends and had 2 nights in this hotel. The surrounding area is very nice, lot of green, mangroves and the river just in front of the hotel. Many excursions & activities were available and we definitwly had a super relaxing weekend. A special note for staff: we had major problems to catch the ferry boat (5 hours waiting - Easter weekend, everyone moving), which meant we arrived at the hotel at about midnight. Although the kitchen was supposed to be closed at 10 and dinner over at 9pm, they waited for us!

I stayed at this hotel for a week. Across the street is a sandy football field. I could watch football games every day from my room. Wind brows from ocean toward this hotel , cool during day and gets a bit cold at night. There are sandy and dusty alleys everywhere. My taxi took wrong street and got nearly stacked in the sand street. Hotel managers are friendly and understanding , but a front man was annoying. I think this hotel gives mama and daddy home stay atmosphere in cement building designed without much concern. Internet was on and off in my 2nd floor room but fairly ok at on first floor.

We stayed twice at this hotel, at the beginning and at the end of our trip around Senegal. The price is a bit higher than elsewhere in Senegal but this is Dakar and the prices in Dakar are a little bit higher. The location of this hotel is great, right in the centre of Dakar's Plateau. The presidential palace and the Place de Independence and the port are all within a walking distance. There are many shops nearby and great bakeries as well. Staff was always welcoming and they even checked us in at 08:00am at no extra cost when we arrived on the early morning ferry from Ziguinchor. Room was comfortable and clean, beds great to sleep in, the wifi was free and strong and the neighbourhood was quiet. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Dakar.

This places is so beautiful, feels like an oasis. And decorated with a lot of taste. We rented the room on the second floor with kitchen and it was confortable and calm. Good thing it had a kitchen and we could cook and prepare meals to avoid going to a restaurant every time. Pool is small but fantastic, we loved it! It is salt water. Bad things for me: aircon is payed apart and wifi has no signal on the second floor so you have to go to the ground floor to be connected. Maybe it's a good excuse to disconnect while you are in the room though. They serve breakfast for 2.600 XOF. Aircon I think it was 1.000 XOF more. They also have taxi service to the airport but I think it was expensive: around 40 euros when it should be not more than 15.000-20.000 XOF. They have a small supermarket just around the corner where you can buy basic groceries. We have a great comfy stay, totally recommend it if you want to relax by the sea in a beautiful environment. The sound of the ocean is amazing.
