Amazing service that I got from the hotel staff. First time in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and with language barrier, we were struggling on the first day. After getting assistance from the hotel staff who speak English fluently, my family had great time there.

The door at the facilities area (pool/sauna/steam room) shall be able to open/ close automatically since it is an auto door (not sure if it is faulty or they did not turn it on). This is because there are plenty of rooms at that level and the sound of splashing is noisy. Anyway, they do close that area after 10pm but there are people who wish to rest before that time. ...

We stayed at 4 different hotels in Taiwan during a 6 night trip. This was the best hotel we stayed at. I am not sure we would have chosen this one if it was full price, but it was worth the price we got with Agoda.
Very nice hotel. You need a car, taxi or scooter to get there. Ideal if you want to be away from traffic and downtown noise. The afternoon tea is vey pleasant. The only issue was the strong cigarette smell in the room, but unfortunately this is a common thing in hotels in Taiwan and it's not the hotel's fault, but the unconscious customers.
Kindness Hotel Kaohsiung Main Stn is always our 1st choice of hotel in Taiwan. Their staff are polite and helpful. Breakfast and Supper are excellent with wide spread of food. Location is excellent, just opposite the MRT station. We enjoyed our stay again.
this is one of the best hotel in taiwan. all the staff from manager , counter girls and bell boy greet and serve you like a head of state. the room is clean and new. breakfast is very good. thumbs up to the bellboys' services. they will call the taxi for you and let you wait in the lounge with served tea. will stay again when in taichung.
Well Service, well location, well facilities, but the room was not clean enough, especially the windows. Also, too many people during weekend, we need to wait more than 10 mins for the life everyday. I recommend to stay during weekday, and make sure they clean the windows, then it would be a prefect hotel in Taiwan.

I had orgininally booked for 3 days but ended up staying a total of 6 days. The location in excellent with the Ximen MRT station exit 5 just outside the hotel. The rooms are very modern and the bed is very comfortable. This is a new hotel and there are still some renovaitons in the lower level but nothing to be a hinderence at all to your stay. I have only some very small comments to make but once again nothing to be overly concerned by. The lip on the shower floor is quite low so the water does not drain away as quick so need to be careful of the water flowing over to the floor. While ther rooms are very spacious there is no where to put your luggage except on the floor maybe the room could have a stand that you can put your luggage on. The breakfast is delivered to your room from an external supplier. Not really to my liking as it was cold. I would have preffered maybe some pastries than the american style that was delivered.. My final comment and this is not a critisicm of this hotel but of most in taiwan. I would like to see an iron and ironing board in the rooms. Overall I must say I was very impressed with this hotel and the staff. I will definately be booking this hotel again on my next trip.

It was the perfect start to a girls weekend with my best friend. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful even though we got the most basic one, and the cold/hot springs were the best I have ever experienced in a private setting. They pipe the waters directly to your room and your skin feels so wonderful after a nice soak in both tubs. The bathroom gives you an excellent view of your surroundings but also privacy to enjoy yourself. There is also a beautiful infinity pool and outdoor hot spring tub for you to enjoy on a fine day. Nice little special touch was the front desk advising you ( and printing out on your key card envelope) the time of sunrise the next day as they have an excellent reading room where you can view it with a cup of coffee in your hand. Breakfast was one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had at a hotel! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone travelling in the Yilan area.

As I noted above, the Caesar Park has a wonderful location,helpful staff, and mostly pleasant rooms. The restaurants are excellent too (Western and Chinese food). The new rooms are much better than the old ones, and I personally like a view; the hotel met my preferences as much as possible, which I appreciated, since I had received a good discount through Agoda. I would definitely stay there the next time I am in Taipei. (It, like all Taiwan hotels, is totally non-smoking. Having just quit, that didn't bother me a bit -- in fact, it was a plus.)

It's really nice place with beautiful view. The people here are nice and fast response. I had request three times and they came to my room within 5 minutes. There are few nice restaurant in this hotel (roast duck). It's one of the best roast duck in Taiwan. The room is big and clean with nice sunshine. There is also shopping mall in the same building.
Definitely a must-stay when you are in Alishan. The lodge is in the middle of the nature reserve with well-maintained boardwalk, suitable even for elderly. The hotel comes with half board (breakfast and dinner). Just nice for the family to have bonding time over the table of nice food. Both buffet style meals are the best spread I have in taiwan.

The staff at level 1 are really kind and helped me with my luggage problem. My luggage was damaged and the airlines had to deliver over to my hotel, they require a taiwan phone number etc. The staff was kind enough to ask me for the details, receipt of damage so that they can help me receive my luggage while I toured taipei. They even lend me a phone to call the company and did not charge me for it. In the end, I got my lugagge and when I check out the staff even comment "ohhhh, you got your luggage" with a kind tone:) Im pretty sure they are short staffed but they are really hardworking and try their very best to make sure your stay here is great! The Housekeeping is damn irritating. At 9.50am they try to open your door and then knock on your door and insist that you open your door, give a demand tone "Do you want Housekeeping?"

We stayed for two nights and every day we came back with everything as new. The floor is vacuumed nicely without any visible dirt. Room: the room was bigger than we expected. The bed was big and comfortable. The design of the room is well thought out where the hot spring tub is just at the patio. In between there is a toilet and shower room. My fiancé and I had a good sleep hearing no noise from other rooms. Staff: the staff are very friendly and professional. They always greet us when they have the chance. Even though a few staff don't speak good English, they did try their best to communicate with us. That is something we really appreciate. Thank-you! Facility: the breakfast was included and it was one of the best we had in recent trips. It is located at the second top floor of the building and it is a like buffet style. Every day it is a little bit different. They offer tons of selection from fruits, salad, hot food, cold food, drink, soups, drinks and breads. The food is so good that we didn't miss any. The top of the building has a few swimming pools for you to enjoy. The hotel offers snacks, movie, and wine in different times so be sure to take advantage of that. Overall: my fiancé and I will give this hotel 9.5/10 because we really love our stay here. Although we didn't do much in Yilan, we were totally relaxed and enjoyed our stay. We really want to take this opportunity to say a big thank-you to the staff for such good services. We will definitely be coming back if we come to YiLan

This was our family's first trip to Taiwan and we were recommended this hotel by a friend who had just visited. Booked a slightly bigger room as we had two children in tow. Was expecting the hotel to insist that we added another bed but was pleasantly surprised that they didn't as our older child is only 8 years old and could use the sofa as her bed. The room was meticulously clean upon our arrival, everything in its place and felt cosy without being cramp. Perfect for a small family for our 4 nights' stay. When it came time to explore the city of Taipei, we found that the MRT station was just across the road! Such convenience. Also, just barely 50 paces away, there is a 7 eleven, and slightly further a Starbucks outlet. Superb! Daily breakfast was a buffet style spread of western and local asian fare. As our room came only with 2 adult breakfasts, we paid 1 child breakfast for our 2 kids. They waived the younger child's portion which was nice. Overall, this was the best possible introduction we could have had to the lovely country of Taiwan. We'll be back for more!

The pool is small but very clean and well equipped and managed. It only took 7 minutes for us from the hotel to the airport(TSA, not TPE) which is also very nice for the travelers with early flight. This hotel is located at a corner of the crowded shopping paradise - Ximending. I had stayed here many years ago and in this revisit, it has been renovated. This room is clean and tidy. The room size is comfortably big as compared to many other hotels. Free bottled water, canned drinks and simple snacks are provided in the room when I checked in. Airconditioning is adjustable to suit one's comfort, though a little noisy. The frontdesk and housekeeping staff are helpful and polite. When I requested for a room on higher floor, the frontdesk immediately made the change without any question asked. There are good varieties for breakfast in the cosy restaurant and an excellent coffee machine. I have stayed in many hotels in Taiwan, I will rate this hotel as "A" among hotels of its price range.

During our booking for a cab that would send us there, JustSLEEP front desk asked if we would need breakfast prepared. We were taken aback as never has a hotel offered such a service before. At first we thought they would only prepare a bun or something for us but no, the bag was filled with croissants, buns, juice and fruits. We were totally impressed with their service and thoughtfulness for their customers. Would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends who are heading to Taiwan for their holidays. 5 stars for service!

I learnt Palais de Chine Hotel through Agoda.com. I saw the location and the reviewed were all very good. I booked and stay in Palais de Chine Hotel. I was so impressed with the interior design, the classic and modern contemporary style which qualified to name it under 5 stars hotel or above. The hotel based in an excellent location with lines of TAXI waiting just 10 steps from the hotel and next to the hotel is the luxurious and best shopping mall. I visited the mall and tasted the Hong Kong restaurant. I took my lunch and dinner at this restaurant. The price is affordable and the food serve is healthy and non-oily. I must visit them again. Travellers, please stay in this hotel to experience the luxury lifestyle and modern layout.
The staff at the Hyatt were perhaps the best we encountered during our three week tour of China and Taiwan. They went out of their way to help. The hotel was comfortable and had everything that we needed. I would go back to this hotel if I was ever in Taipei
It's defiantly the best resort/hotel for families to stay in Hualien! I booked a Loft room at this hotel while we can see lagoon from the balcony and smell the spring's coming. This resort is in a good location where is not far from most attractions by driving... It's recommended to have massage after the day out in a responsible price!

OMG! It was more than perfect! I am always picky when I chose accommodation provider for my baby. This time I travelled alone with my 22 month toddler, we stayed for 3 nights, I was only expecting somewhere simple and relaxing, as an ending of our Taiwan trip. But the resort gave us such an amazing arrangement much more than expectation. Actually I started to consult about shuttle bus and some other details months before our trip. The staff wrote me back helpful information always quickly. They even arranged us kids’ hotel without request, it was so kids friendly environment, we were in kitty room, my boy was big fan of fur babies. He was crazy about it! From the shuttle bus driver, the receptionist, the show performer, the event organizer...every staff here was so nice and polite, always with big smiles and ready to help! All facilities are considered and designed so nicely, I love their events and interactions with kids, so did my little shy puppy guy. But due to his age, there are still lots of funs yet to explore, but absolutely we will be back here again! For me, it was a Clubmed in Taiwan local version!

The game room is excellent for children of all ages. There are video games, foos ball, table tennis, billiards, a toddler playground, and basketball video game etc. My son had blast every time! I would give the staff 10 stars if I could. Very friendly and accommodating. From the front desk, to bell hop, housekeeping to the restaurant staff, everybody was helpful and had a great attitude. Our room came with complimentary buffet everyday. The selection was great and most importantly was delicious. I ordered from the cafe a few times as we were too tired to go out to eat. The food was good too. Also around the corner from the hotel are a few local places to eat. One vegetarian spot was clean and delicious. Plenty of boba and tea shops as well as a Family mart and 7-11. My only disappointment would have been the hot spring facility. Two of the 3 sections for the hot spring were cold. The only hot tubs where in the back of the facility and I believe the temperature gages were not accurate. The two tubs we went in showed similar readings around 34.4 Celsius, but felt completely different in temps. I prefer hot baths so I was a bit chilly. My husband prefers luke warm water so it was perfect for him. Due to the weather we did not get to enjoy the pool, but it looked nice and one of the few hotels in Taitung with a pool. Overall I could not be happier with the hotel selection. Should they ever remodel the pool or health spa, this would definitely be a 5 star resort across the board. I will definitely be back if I'm in Taitung!

I highly recommend this place - although we stayed for only 2 nights, our stay in this house greatly contributed in our Taipei trip. Chris, the housemaster, is very kind and accommodating. The place is also strategically close to Shida Night Market and close to Taipower Building MRT Station. We will definitely go back to Taipei and will still consider staying here!
The "Rhythm Blues" room is well-decorated, spacious and comfortable, with a spectacular west-facing city view and partial harbor view. The lighting is great. There is a main seating area plus a secondary Japanese style seating area by the window. It was a real joy to stay in this room.

we booked 2 rooms, the family room is very good and lot of space but our room for 2 people a bit smaller, but all comfortable and clean. Breakfast is not much to say as I think Taiwanese food all taste the same. Try spicy fried chicken at the night market, so gooooddd. Sausages as well, cook on charcoal, thump up for that. Staff very friendly and helpful, show us how to catch the bus to the airport and save money. Great stay and would love to go back to Taiwan again one day in the future. Try their bubble tea but NO ICE. Great.
This hostel is located near Tunghai Night market, which means food can be reached easily. Public transports is also easily accessible. Convenient stores are also located nearby. Only the washroom is a little too small.
The hotel is modern and clean. They use Seally mattress! The bed sheet and duvet cover were of top quality, better than many 5 stars hotels! Breakfast was local Taiwanese style but good. Definitely value for money.

Some beds have a larger shelf area (hence larger mirror too) to place your things. Lockers were small as usual (only fit a couple of bag packs or a hand carry luggage), but on the plus side is 2 compartment (1 larger for backpacks and 1 small for shoes) instead of the usual single compartment. However the rooms were roomy enough to store big luggage in the common area and not be a hindrance to other guest movement. 2 forms of free biscuit snacks are available at the eating area. Mattress was on the hard side similar to what's provided in most hostels.

Yet one more example is that the hostel has high-end Samsung aircon versus cheap ones, result in steady room temperature without much noise, quality. The hostel is in an old building that was carefully renovated to extract functionality, this resulted in a comfortable space perfect for having a good rest. This is just like its owner, a middle aged Taiwanese gentleman, that gives you an reliable and helpful impression when you first meet him. In general this hostel do not compromise on quality, like Wifi, localtion, common room, shower etc. this is not a hostel with smartass design and luxurious interior, but it is what you'd expect from 9+ scored hostel, it does what it should very well.

The environment is peaceful and quiet, however you will still be able to hang out and chit chat with other travelers if you're lucky to bump into them at the cozy reception area! The location is great! They provide an affordable rental service for electric bikes (no riding license required) at Time House, so it was a breeze to get around! There is also a Bus Station a short walk away, where buses are available to take you to other areas in Taiwan. My boyfriend and I had so much fun in Ken Ting, and we both want to thank Ao Hua for making our stay so comfortable and easy! We will definitely be staying there again the next time we visit Ken Ting!

He also likes to play mostly English music (from the 80s and 90s) and invites his friends over to relax and kickback, but he closes a door, so you won't be bothered by the music downstairs. He does have a "chained" dog staying inside the building and close to the entrance of the building, but once the dog recognizes your scent the first time, he will remember you and won't bark at you after that. The dog is pretty quiet and does not bark excessively. I was worried about that, but that wasn't an issue! He also has a "fat" cat (hehe) that stays hidden away on the 3rd floor. Cons: The dorm room I stayed in did not have a curtain at all, but I just got a blanket from a different dorm bed that was "not in use," and covered my area with it. Pick a bottom bunk-bed and you can cover it pretty easily.

Shower had space to hang your items and a basket-shelf in case you did not bring a toiletry bag that hangs. Free locker tagged to your bed number (and respective access card) is available below the bunk beds. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. It was almost literally just a door away from Dongmen MRT Exit 3 and super convenient to get to places and back. Even if you reach Dongmen MRT late at night, the area is still brightly lit to make your way back to the hostel. Would totally stay here again!

We stayed at 4 different hotels in Taiwan during a 6 night trip. This was the best hotel we stayed at. I am not sure we would have chosen this one if it was full price, but it was worth the price we got with Agoda.

I had orgininally booked for 3 days but ended up staying a total of 6 days. The location in excellent with the Ximen MRT station exit 5 just outside the hotel. The rooms are very modern and the bed is very comfortable. This is a new hotel and there are still some renovaitons in the lower level but nothing to be a hinderence at all to your stay. I have only some very small comments to make but once again nothing to be overly concerned by. The lip on the shower floor is quite low so the water does not drain away as quick so need to be careful of the water flowing over to the floor. While ther rooms are very spacious there is no where to put your luggage except on the floor maybe the room could have a stand that you can put your luggage on. The breakfast is delivered to your room from an external supplier. Not really to my liking as it was cold. I would have preffered maybe some pastries than the american style that was delivered.. My final comment and this is not a critisicm of this hotel but of most in taiwan. I would like to see an iron and ironing board in the rooms. Overall I must say I was very impressed with this hotel and the staff. I will definately be booking this hotel again on my next trip.

The bathroom gives you an excellent view of your surroundings but also privacy to enjoy yourself. There is also a beautiful infinity pool and outdoor hot spring tub for you to enjoy on a fine day. Nice little special touch was the front desk advising you ( and printing out on your key card envelope) the time of sunrise the next day as they have an excellent reading room where you can view it with a cup of coffee in your hand. Breakfast was one of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had at a hotel! I would strongly recommend this place to anyone travelling in the Yilan area.

Definitely a must-stay when you are in Alishan. The lodge is in the middle of the nature reserve with well-maintained boardwalk, suitable even for elderly. The hotel comes with half board (breakfast and dinner). Just nice for the family to have bonding time over the table of nice food. Both buffet style meals are the best spread I have in taiwan.

The Housekeeping is damn irritating. At 9.50am they try to open your door and then knock on your door and insist that you open your door, give a demand tone "Do you want Housekeeping?"

The room was meticulously clean upon our arrival, everything in its place and felt cosy without being cramp. Perfect for a small family for our 4 nights' stay. When it came time to explore the city of Taipei, we found that the MRT station was just across the road! Such convenience. Also, just barely 50 paces away, there is a 7 eleven, and slightly further a Starbucks outlet. Superb! Daily breakfast was a buffet style spread of western and local asian fare. As our room came only with 2 adult breakfasts, we paid 1 child breakfast for our 2 kids. They waived the younger child's portion which was nice. Overall, this was the best possible introduction we could have had to the lovely country of Taiwan. We'll be back for more!

This hotel is located at a corner of the crowded shopping paradise - Ximending. I had stayed here many years ago and in this revisit, it has been renovated. This room is clean and tidy. The room size is comfortably big as compared to many other hotels. Free bottled water, canned drinks and simple snacks are provided in the room when I checked in. Airconditioning is adjustable to suit one's comfort, though a little noisy. The frontdesk and housekeeping staff are helpful and polite. When I requested for a room on higher floor, the frontdesk immediately made the change without any question asked. There are good varieties for breakfast in the cosy restaurant and an excellent coffee machine. I have stayed in many hotels in Taiwan, I will rate this hotel as "A" among hotels of its price range.

I've stayed here twice and always enjoyed it. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Great location in the heart of Ximending and close to the MRT. A quality international buffet breakfast in hard to find at hotels in Taiwan, but Amba's breakfast is always fantastic. It has a lot of choice and really cool dining area. I would recommend this place to everyone.

The room was perfect, but just a little small (which is normal for cheaper hotel rooms in this area). Good for 1 or 2 people. I booked the standard no window but got a lucky free upgrade. The room has nice furnishings, was clean, didn't feel old or used up. Everything worked, and there were many small items and details for use (DVD player, shoe polishers, etc.) It felt like a lot of comfort in a small room. If you like breakfast, book it on the website because it's twice as expensive if you buy at the hotel. I would stay here again. Caesar Park is slightly more expensive for the same thing.

I had to book a hotel at the very last minute because of a change of travel plan, found this and surprisingly it is one of the best I've stayed in Taiwan. The room is spacious with HUGE bed, that bed was meant for two of us but I believe it will fit 5 people! Bathroom is nice and clean. Overall a good experience with nice room rates.

It is a welcome change to stay in a hotel in Taiwan where someone has actually paid attention to the design and made sure everything is in the right place. It is hard to fault this hotel. However, you will pay through your teeth to stay here. It is twice the price of other business hotels in Chiayi and all you really get is the room. Location is okay, though I prefer something closer to the train station. There are two departments stores and many restaurants and bars outside. Also the BRT line runs down Chueiyang Road, so you can take it to Chiayi Park, or back to the Transport Center (which connects the train station, HSR station[40 minutes away], and long distance buses). It is also a 10 minute walk to the Carrefour and night market, and about 20 minutes to the Wenhua night market. I would certainly recommend for you to stay here once, if only for the novelty.

I went to Taiwan with my family last year in September. My family booked 4 rooms in total, 2 family rooms and 2 deluxe rooms (with street view). The deluxe room and family room are side by side on each floor. The family room turned out to be bigger than expected. The window is in the toilet, which is very common for most of the Taiwan hotels. Whereas for the deluxe room, it has the full window in the room. The view of the room is not fantastic as it is facing the shopping mall opposite and the room is much smaller compared to the family room. What I really like about the hotel is their service, location and cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful and professional. They are very prompt in replying to all your email enquiries. The staff went out the extra miles in helping me to find and rent the baby car seat, even though I did not book their tour services. Of course, I paid a reasonable price for the rental and brought the baby chair along to Cingjing and Hualien. I was very grateful for that as I had a hard time finding the rental of the baby car seat online as most of the websites are in chinese/ too expensive/ too inconvenient for the picking and returning of the car seat. Another memorable incident was that the hotel staff gave my sister and my bro-in-law a handmade card (with polariod photo) and a bottle of wine, after knowing that they were there to take wedding photos. That was really sweet gesture of them.The location is really another benefit of the hotel. It is just 3 mins walk from the train station (exit C if I can remember correctly). The price is really very affordable compared to other hotels around the area. The hotel is new and clean. It has 8 floors in total, which is rare for many boutique hotels in XMD as most of the hotels occupies only 1/2 floors in the building/shopping mall. Highly recommended and do remember to book earlier in order to secure yourself a room there.

It was just like taking MRT in Singapore from Changi Airport to Orchard Road, but longer journey. So simple. It was also very easy to find the hotel which was only a short 5 minutes walk from Formosa Boulevard Station, the most beautiful station in Taiwan.(if your time the walk from the exit of the station, it can be even shorter) Hotel Dua is a modern boutique hotel with a touch of East-Asian design element. The rooms with superb interior finishing, were spacious. The hardware and accessories in the bathroom were of top quality. We were very pampered by the twin beds coupled with a huge over-sized pillow and a standard-sized pillow. It was unbelievably comfortable. No doubt, Hotel Dua will be my first choice if I travel to Kaohsiung again.

Amazing service that I got from the hotel staff. First time in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and with language barrier, we were struggling on the first day. After getting assistance from the hotel staff who speak English fluently, my family had great time there.
Well Service, well location, well facilities, but the room was not clean enough, especially the windows. Also, too many people during weekend, we need to wait more than 10 mins for the life everyday. I recommend to stay during weekday, and make sure they clean the windows, then it would be a prefect hotel in Taiwan.

It's really nice place with beautiful view. The people here are nice and fast response. I had request three times and they came to my room within 5 minutes. There are few nice restaurant in this hotel (roast duck). It's one of the best roast duck in Taiwan. The room is big and clean with nice sunshine. There is also shopping mall in the same building.

The staff at the Hyatt were perhaps the best we encountered during our three week tour of China and Taiwan. They went out of their way to help. The hotel was comfortable and had everything that we needed. I would go back to this hotel if I was ever in Taipei

This time I travelled alone with my 22 month toddler, we stayed for 3 nights, I was only expecting somewhere simple and relaxing, as an ending of our Taiwan trip. But the resort gave us such an amazing arrangement much more than expectation. Actually I started to consult about shuttle bus and some other details months before our trip. The staff wrote me back helpful information always quickly. They even arranged us kids’ hotel without request, it was so kids friendly environment, we were in kitty room, my boy was big fan of fur babies. He was crazy about it! From the shuttle bus driver, the receptionist, the show performer, the event organizer...every staff here was so nice and polite, always with big smiles and ready to help! All facilities are considered and designed so nicely, I love their events and interactions with kids, so did my little shy puppy guy. But due to his age, there are still lots of funs yet to explore, but absolutely we will be back here again! For me, it was a Clubmed in Taiwan local version!

The game room is excellent for children of all ages. There are video games, foos ball, table tennis, billiards, a toddler playground, and basketball video game etc. My son had blast every time! I would give the staff 10 stars if I could. Very friendly and accommodating. From the front desk, to bell hop, housekeeping to the restaurant staff, everybody was helpful and had a great attitude. Our room came with complimentary buffet everyday. The selection was great and most importantly was delicious. I ordered from the cafe a few times as we were too tired to go out to eat. The food was good too. Also around the corner from the hotel are a few local places to eat. One vegetarian spot was clean and delicious. Plenty of boba and tea shops as well as a Family mart and 7-11. My only disappointment would have been the hot spring facility. Two of the 3 sections for the hot spring were cold. The only hot tubs where in the back of the facility and I believe the temperature gages were not accurate. The two tubs we went in showed similar readings around 34.4 Celsius, but felt completely different in temps. I prefer hot baths so I was a bit chilly. My husband prefers luke warm water so it was perfect for him. Due to the weather we did not get to enjoy the pool, but it looked nice and one of the few hotels in Taitung with a pool. Overall I could not be happier with the hotel selection. Should they ever remodel the pool or health spa, this would definitely be a 5 star resort across the board. I will definitely be back if I'm in Taitung!

We stayed with 3 other families and this is the best and fun experience we had in JiaoXi, we stayed at other five stars hotel before but Mu has everything and the most important is that it is such a kid friendly hotel that also uncles the best art gallery for adults to enjoy! Foods are good too!

However, during the breakfast, there were many visitors and that's how we know there were actually a lot of tourists. The room is very designed with comfort and generous space. We also tried foot massage. It was professional and relaxing after a hot summer day. We will definitely come back on our future to Taiwan.

It was my first hot spring experience in Taiwan. After I stayed several hot spring hotels in Japan, I didn't expect too much in Taiwan. I was wrong. Evergreen Resort hotel in Taiwan was far better than I expected. Hot spring in my room with the view, good red with snack, my husband and I had a very relaxed weekend. I will come back again.

You will always see Japanese tourists and businesmen there. And I have to use my room card to get to my floor so security is ensured. The hotel room is large with a decorated foyer. High ceiling, well equipped bathroom with deep bath tub and shower area, free newspaper. Activities Nest to the swimming pool is a Hot-and-Ice pool (it's soothing and exciting) and a fitness center all free to hotel guests. And for outing there is a Guanghua Shopping Mall about 15 min walk where you can have a budget lunch at the food court. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends who are willing to spend for high-quality hotels.

The breakfast restaurant wasn't open the first morning, so as service the breakfast was offered with roomservice. The 2nd morning there were a lot of tourists and the buffet was open. The buffet was big and had lots of options. We also ate in the western restaurant, also no buffet available. The only option was a 5 course dinner, the service was great and also the food was good. The room was big and a bit cold ( outside temp 15C in beginning of January), but you can use the airconditioning as heater. The sheets were really delicate and nice and the beds were soft.
Just as good as each time here! Hopefully this hotel-bookstore of good taste & quality can well recognized as a new Taiwan benchmark of this ove-polluted by politics city/country! You can see the real Taiwan-Chinese beauty here! Highly recommended!

The bathroom included a separate shower and tub, and the shower areas was enclosed - this is not the case of many bathrooms in Asia, but is certainly my preference. The booking included a buffet breakfast, which is quite good - it includes traditional Chinese foods, but also had some western options. I am a Canadian vegetarian, and since arriving in Taiwan, I have struggled with the food, but I was very happy with the selection at Howard. The location of this hotel is fabulous - it is about a 5 minute walk from the night market, and has a tunnel that leads to a small beach, where guests can swim, or rent an umbrella and just relax on the beach. There is also a large swimming pool and two hotels at the Howard - I didn't spend much time there, as I'm more into the beach, but it looked nice. The only thing kind of strange about the Howard is that downstairs, on your way to the beach tunnel, there is a very large games arcade.play area for children, and it smells a bit weird down there. The staff at the Howard were very helpful - I remember a gentleman named Woody checked us in, and explained the amenities the hotel offers, gave us two free drink tickets, and a coupon to save on bicycle rentals. He also knew a little English which was nice. The Howard lobby entrance is actually about a five minute walk from the main street, but they have an employee in a go-cart who drives up and down the way picking up guests walking along. If you want to leave the lobby and go to the street, just wait a minute and the go cart will take you. You can also rent bicycles, electric bikes, and scooters on the howard premises. Note that the Kenting Express (major bus that goes between the bus/high speed rail station and Kenting), stops directly at Howard.

It was our first time visiting Taiwan and our very first hotel in Taiwan. What a wonderful hotel with excellent staffs and services! The only little disappointment was they were remodeling or it was the off season, the exercise rooms and the pool were closed. We want give a special Thank You to Joanne Pan, Reservation Department, a lady that we had never met. We booked our own airfares and our hotels by ourselves for the first time. We had never travel to Asia before so we got the times all wrong. It was our mistakes that the bookings was wrong but we will learn from this in the future. Anyways, Joanne help us get a refund back from Agoda.com. We know this was not easy to do because it is Agoda No- Refundable Policy. The Taiwanese are so honest and we believe that they do not like cheating their customers.
