It was an overnight stay in Sousse. We chose the hotel because it is a 5 star. We were fascinated by the view and room orientationdirectly facing the sea as we requested. Omar and Makram from Rrception were very helpful to accommodate all our requests . I believe the hotel all in all is one of the best in Sousse , if not the best. I just wished the Asian and Tunisian restaurants were left open for dinner service every day and not just the international buffet style restaurant Waleed from Saudi Arabia

Stayed with my adult daughter, so we chose to book room with the large bed. It was overlooking the pool. That was problematic because the kitchen staff, workmen and guests would walk by our windows often. We wanted to sleep with the windows open because the weather was spectacular (June) and we could hear the sea below. Because the foot traffic was so plentiful, that was not private. Other rooms wouldn't have had that issue. The staff was great. I can't say enough about them; they were helpful, pleasant and a delight to interact with. Restaurant is beautiful! Food good. Breakfast on the balcony (we didn't have one with our room- but most did) was a bit too sunny and very crowded. As we were leaving, the hotel was enclosing a space by the pool next to our room (there are 2 pools) to be used in future as a breakfast room. That will further reduce the desirability of the room that we booked because the limited view will be made more limited and increase the foot traffic.

When I first arrived at hotel and showed my online booking , counter staff refused the booking and after some heated conversation he gave me other room ( totally opposite of what I booked) and as soon as I get in the room lights went off completely and I went to reception to change the room and he asked me to wait for his call in room for change of room. I never got any call from reception , next day I went to reception and explained whole scenario to other reception staff first they refused to change room but after some consultation and my threat of contacting booking agency worked out and they change the room. In short my life worse experience with Agoda regarding this hotel. Let see what I hear from you now. Regards Idrees

The room was clean & mostly worked, the pool & jacuzzi were great, but I was concerned when reception could not find my Agoda booking & forced me to pay in full a 2nd time because they said Agoda never paid them, until I produced my bank statement as proof and demanded a refund. Pool staff never provided me with a towel 1st day and 2nd day were not around at all so I had to get a towel from my room, beach staff sat on seats and did nothing, one restaurant wouldn't serve food at 8:30pm as chefs had already stopped working, my room kettle was so hot I couldn't pick it up without burning my fingers, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain, many TV channels didn't work, and my balcony door jammed shut on the 2nd day and wouldn't open. Although room service was very good, and the bed was comfortable.

I live in Tunisia and have stayed at a lot of hotels in Hammamet, but this is my favorite. The layout of this sprawling place means that every room has the feel of a private suite. You'll have your own day room and patio, as well as two flat screen TVs - although who wants that with the Mediterranean at your doorstep? Avoid the spa unless you like snobbery at quadruple the price of local hammams.

the africa hotel situated in center of tunis, in boulvard habib bourguiba. near to everywere shoping center,coffe bar and all taxi and train staition,so easy to go or come from airoport tunis cartage just about 20 min and they cost you just 5 tunisian dinar maximum. you reach to hotel all the staff are good,they talk nicelly and with 3 or 4 language,arabic,french,italian and english. the rooms are so clean with every things inside internet with money and the speed is good. i hope for all the travelers to have a nice days in africa hotel and in tunisia.

Whe you arrive at El Mouradi through its marbles entrance and step into its spacious round high ceiling reception you think "wow' all that for $40 or so? That was worth the trip! You look to your left and the reception is budding with staff. Waiters are walking around everywhere in and out of rooms with trays in their hands. Then you walk to your room, through the quite generous pool area and the never ending corridors, you reach your room... nice bathroom , nice bedroom, and oh, a balcony. perfect. You start to settle. Hmm.. the safe doesnt open. Call reception.. eh whats the number? The book doesn't say. Zero? No. Ok. will tell them about the safe next time I am at the reception. Time to sleep. Open the bed. Yuuuk! a brown wool blanket like its youth hostel... oh well.. its hot enough to keep it by your feet and just use the white sheets.. only they aren't really that white.. more like used-white and mis-ironed. Thats fine. Next morning. Breakfast buffet is huge. price was included. Everything from continental bread to frsh made omeletes just for you to deep fried whatevers with nuttela.. fruit, kellogs, teas and more. Yumm. Sit down.. oh those sheets again. What? I have to change my table? why? the room is empty? Ok if you want i will sit somewherelse. Uhm.. could i just have some services, and we are four by the way not 2. ok thanks.. and just the spoons too please. Yes thats two. Thanks. Reception. Good morning, could I please get someone to have a look at my... oh its the other person i have to talk to... ok. Excuse me could I.. oh .. ok. Left right? ok... walk down the 100 meter reception to the end of it. Woman sitting doing nothing. Excuse me could I have someone come and look at my safe it doesn't work. The hotel was ok. Definitely would not consider this a 5 star after staying in 4 star hotels in Hammamet that were much nicer. The staff member working at the reception when we arrived was very nice. He upgraded us to a suite which was a lovely surprise. The pool were be very nice if it was not for this large cement fountain blocking the view to the beach. Could not figure out what the purpose of it was. Dinner was ok but nothing special. Breakfast was typical of the breakfasts we have experienced at all the hotels in Hammamet. I would not recommend this hotel as for the same price

This is a large all inclusive hotel, typical of the new area of Hammamet. We did not have the all inclusive package and I am glad because the breakfast, while presenting a lot of options was not all that appealing (my girlfriend had some stomach issues that we narrowed down to the breakfast food). It's a comfortable hotel that you do not have to leave if you do not want to. The medina theme is a bit cheesy, actually extremely cheesy if you've seen a real one. On top of that, the "street" vendors inside the hotel can be annoying and pushy. Their prices are no bargain either. I guess a certain type of crowd would like this, we chose to spend most of our time outside the compound.

I stayed at this property in early November 2014 while travelling on business. The hotel in terms of comfort and facilities met all of my expectations and more. I will return. One minor point - the staff at the front desk need additional training on guest relations. I have no problem with reserve but the lack of welcome at different times of the day was not what I would expect from a Tunisian hotel.

Our stay was wonderful. We felt the comfort and great service of this wonderful 5 star hotel. There was a huge variety of food, desserts and fruits for everyone to enjoy. We felt safe going anywhere in Hammamet. I have to give special recognition to housekeeping who went out of their way to make our stay special through beautiful flower decorations of the room. This was made possible by Saoud Amri and her supervisor Mounia Hizzi. In summary, I greatly recommend this hotel. It offers superior service and has an incredible location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. I would definitely come back to El Mehari hotel and enjoy the beauty of Hammamet and Tunisia.

We had a great time at regency. Staff were pleasant enough and attentive to help with any need. With a large amount of facilities and space we could wonder the grounds at our leisure. Good parking for rent a car. It's twenty minutes from Tunis far enough to get away but close enough to get in for some city shopping and sightseeing. We were close to some cafés for lunch. Overall we loved our stay. We lived the hotel for its room space and comfort. Well worth investing to stay here!

After staying in Tunis and constantly been disappointed with quality and service almost everywhere, this hotel was a welcome exception. As Tunisia is not Europe or the developed world really, you will still need to lower your expectations, but even if this hotel would not get 5 stars in Europe, it is anyhow very comfortable. I was traveling with my husband and my mother. I had made a booking for 2 nights from Friday to Sunday but the hotel had not received the booking. Luckily, I checked with the hotel since I wanted to make sure to get a quiet room. The hotel did not reply to my e-mail and I had to call the reservations 3 times before the reservations manager asked me to forward the booking confirmation to her. By the time of entering the hotel I still did not know if our booking had been received or not (the reservations manager never replied) but luckily there was a room for us and the check-in was very welcoming and smooth. The rooms are very clean and still new, best quality I have seen in Tunisia. The public areas of the hotel are decorated with great detail and thought. The hotel does not smell like tobacco like pretty much everything else in Tunisia. The staff was generally quite polite and helpful, very much so in Tunisian terms, but yet again, do not expect the same as in places famous for high quality service. The breakfast was the best that I have experienced anywhere in Tunisia. The drinks at the cafe and the pool bar food unfortunately were not good at all. We had once dinner in the Asian restaurant Bonzai. It was over priced as in hotels usually, but tasted quite good. The 2 other nights we ate in our favorite restaurant in the old Hammamet. It is a bit of a drive especially on busy weekend nights but oh so much better food and service for a lot cheaper. Despite the hick-ups related to the reservations, this is definitely best quality I have experienced in Tunisia and therefore will come back to the hotel, even if I did not like Yasmine H

Everything is totally overpriced, charging for everything, no water in the rooms, no nice little touches. The restaurant food taste so-so, the price is double the price of, for example Dar El Jeld, which is the top-notch restaurant in the Medina. Don't let the homepage and pictures fool you. Don't go there, there are so many better places in the Medina! The architecture of the Palais is so nice, so much wasted potential. It is a shame that the place is so poorly managed.

I went with my finacee on a romantic weekend. The hotel was rather expensive and a 2.5 hours drive from Tunis so i expected a spectacular experience. In that regard I was disappointed. The hotel is nice, but that it is. We had a sea view villa which was more a hotel room then a villa. Probably 25 sqm. The WIFi is exceptionally poor specially in the villa area which is adjacent to the hotel. The facilities are great. We used the Gym and tennis court.
