Booked: room with shared bathroom, first floor. 30$ via Agoda - 20$ at reception. In the subburbs - not safe after dark. Transportation to town via minibus 50ct/10-15min. Facilities: Room/TV-Launge/Restaurant/garden good. Staff is very disorganised and always disappointing. But: Good Value! I recommend this place.

Tastefully decorated, helpful staff, clean and fresh. Breakfast was good, just need to specify how you like the eggs poached! Mine were a bit too firm. Handy to walk to the falls and the gorge.

Great clean comfortable place to stay the staff are wonderful and there's nothing they won't do to make your stay brilliant The airport transfer is $30 each way but so is a taxi and Thomas will always show you around as well

The location is great, very close to everything! The facilities are quite impressive especially the shower rooms and toilets for the camp site and dorms(one of the best share shower/bathroom so far personally). There are also mini mart and travel operator desk at the hotel so you can pretty much get all things done in-house. Reception staff are very helpful and supportive. I had difficulties checking-in (my booking were not updated when I arrived) but he sorted it out for me very nicely. I would recommend this place.

Close to the city centre and the airport, it has beautiful gardens and friendly staff. Our rooms were generally clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was simple. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Very clean & spacious for our family of 5. Self-catering. Hot water. Free WiFi. Lovely landscaping. Good customer service. Good buffet-style breakfast included. All around it was a very enjoyable 3 night stay there & we definitely recommend them!

Sweet Homes is a big house with 4 rooms and common kitchen and toilets. Staff very friendly. The place is safe. About 30 min walk from the town (or 5 min drive). Not the place for backpackers who wants to meet travelers and save money, but more for couples who want intimacy and quiet clean place to stay. We received excellent service from the owners

First stay here and loved it...great staff and more a colonial museum then a hotel...a time capsule of past Rhodesia

The hotel is among the best and most expansive hotels in Bulawayo. However it is in state of slow decay. Everything needs a renovation: elevators, broken towel hangers, faucets, furniture etc. This generally reflects the decaying nature of the city itself.

The hotel is clean though needs extensive upgrading through normal wear and tear. Refurbishment of the rooms and the hotel will revitalize it and the staff, who do their best to make you welcome and comfortable. We did not use many of the facilities available but did see a clean restaurant and bar with a reasonable selection of offerings. The room price is affordable given that prices in Zimbabwe can be a little on the high side. We did have a pleasant stay overall and would return again in the future.

We just used the hotel for 1 night after arriving late in the evening, so no chance to sample the food. The room was large, with 2 comfortable double beds, but the bath was rather small. The hotel is well located for the Pathfinder bus station (3 mins walk) and the staff were extremely helpful trying to get on touch with them for us late at night. The hotel is fine for overnighting or business, especially if you get a good rate - given there is little real choice in the city.

Very poor staff, facilities & services. They claimed did have my Agoda reservations, did have room slippers, told me check out is at 10am. They are overrated.

Are you curious about my title? if you do just go. and then please feel this hotel. Restaurant, cafe, swimming pool and massge were really nice.

Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel as whilst noticeably outdated it is obvious the management continues to go to good lengths keep the rooms in decent condition. Dinner was excellent, check in efficient and all staff very hospitable, friendly and professional. We even got a free upgrade to a deluxe king room with excellent 2nd (top) floor views over waterhole. The waterhole immediately in front of the hotel is idyllic but unfortunately for us nothing of significance came across for sunset. This is always a lottery and nothing the hotel can guarantee. Overall an excellent stay, probably slightly overpriced for Zimbabwe, but beggars can’t be choosers as so little alternative accommodation in the Hwange Main Camp area.

Quite pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly.It was the cheapest pleasant hotel we could find in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. It was within walking distance to the Falls, tourist center and a very good new Thai restaurant.

Good value for such a beautiful hotel. Room was comfortable and good bed. Breakfast was good. Pool was inconvenient to get to, and rather small. Good shuttle service to town, although shuttle bus was not in good condition. Did not use the golf course, but it looked very nice.

I usually don't leave reviews. But this hotel location was a very good place for the money we spent. We were picked up from the airport in the hotels shuttle, and there is a shuttle available throughout the day to bring you into town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was only 15 minutes walking distance from town, so we took advantage of that, and saved on cab money. The Clearview Café down the street was a GREAT place to eat as well. We stayed in a single queen size bed room, which was very comfy, and came with a bug mesh that covered over the entire bed to keep insects out. I would suggest wearing bug spray at all times. Victoria Falls is a short drive away from this hotel. The food provided by the hotel can be a bit pricey, so we always ate off property. And also buy yourself liquor at the DUTY FREE SHOP before exiting the airport, to save on money.

Please ensure that the towels are clean. It would be best to get them bleached and they looked cream not white. Overall it was a good hotel

Safari club is the right place where to stay if you want to be close to the nature and get the luxury to see wild life while having a drink or dinner from the lobby terrace or on the private balcony of your room. The large rooms are comfortable and with all the facilities you may need. Complimentary services, drinks and snacks make your stay more pleasant. The staff is nice and always ready to assist you. Quality of food and drinks is also worth to be mentioned . Definitely I’ll return to safari club if back to VF one day

We ended up allocated at Safari lodge, which is part of Lokuthula Lodge, lovely, clean and cool place, first class hospitality and super nice and caring staff. Will be ever so greatful to have booked the place, awesome

Ilala was THE perfect introduction to Zimbabwe - gracious, ideally located, superb consideration for its guests, spacious yet intimate. And expensive, but worth it!

Excellent from arrival to departure. Nothing was too much trouble. Staff were friendly, polite and informative. Watching all the wild animals feeding at the waterholes that the bedrooms looked over was a unique experience.

Stayed here for two nights. The hotel is iconic but the bedrooms do feel a bit tired and costly for what it is. We had booked a double room but were given a room of two singles joined up which is ok but the mosquito nets were also two separate ones ! This was rectified after we talked to reception regarding our booking.The staff and service was excellent. Restaurant served a good variety of food. One tiny niggle was that you could only have nibbles with your drink at certain times of the day only and also in certain bars! For a top hotel this should be a norm with every drink served. Overall a good stay.

From the beginning to the end, the service is fantastic and always think ahead of what we need and I really appreciate that. It is one of the best services throughout my Africa journey and I would definitely come back here if I am at Victoria Falls again. Highly highly recommended.
