Good location but needs work”
Allowed to check in early
THe Hotel needs a good refurbishing. The rooms were comfortable enough for the price. Breakfast was pretty woefuland overpriced.

Very close to city wall, large room
Comfortable room, but a little far from Muslim quarter. Tuk tuks are great to use in this area, if you can find one. Very large business hotel, a bit dated, but clean.

Good location but hotel needs urgent renovation”
Fantastic location, very close to city walls
Rooms are large however the hotel is rather run down. Staff will not win any awards for customer service. Services offered by this hotel are expensive and very much a second class. Definitely not more than 3 stars.

Clean, nice hotel”
Location
The place of the hotel was quite ideal because it was just outside the city walls so in times of traffic jam you could go around the city. Since Xian is not a very big city and taxi prices in China reasonable it was easy to reach all destinations by taxi. It was clean.

Average for price”
Clean room and bathroom has bath plus balcony.
Clean room. 40 minute walk from Bell and Drum towers. Internet service was twice as much as City Hotel. Difficult to get taxi to go anywhere. Do not book taxi with hotel unless you don't mind paying 5 times the cost. Nearby parks and shops.

A Good Hotel for Chinese Businessmen”
Physically comfortable, and the staff seem eager to help.
For guests who don't know Chinese: the staff have extremely limited English. Location:
The room itself is very comfortable. The atmosphere is quite chilly, like a mausoleum. Don't expect the travel agency in the hotel to be of any help. No English, and they only handle flights. For leisure travelers, the location is not good, because it's in a commercial neighborhood that has little if any local color. The neighborhood has the rawness and sterility of new commercial development, with no concern for aesthetics.

Ok but not the best ”
Beside the city wall
Older hotel, no shopping and very few estaurants near.
An older hotel in Xian, near the city wall. Very good price but not the best value due to it's location, age and noise levels. The service was Ok but very little English spoken by the staff, so if you are not able to communicate in Chinese you may have some difficulty.

2 nights at Dynasty - cheap ”
cheap
Noisy (loud concerts nearby till midnight). The aircon is as noisy as a motor plane. Unbearable. Not very well cleaned. Old beds. minimum service.
the hotel is based out of the center, not very far, easily reachable from bus or taxi (5-10 minutes). There are good restaurants in the area (near the closest city gate). The bedroom is a bit old, not always well cleaned, and noisy (outside and inside aircon). China breakfast, nice and huge. Minimum of service.

Room size. Helpful, English-speaking staff.
Cafe food not very good. Hard to get taxi.
Our room was nice and big, with a mini-fridge to keep our water cold. The balcony overlooked the garden and had an awesome view of the city wall. The staff was helpful and someone on duty always spoke some English. Somewhat long but walkable distance to city attractions, which is good because getting a taxi can sometimes be a pain from this area. Avoid the hotel cafe--I've had better Chinese food at a supermarket. They also close super-early if you are used to dinner in American cities (i.e. 8-9 pm).

Dynasty Hotel Xian China”
Nice size rooms, very reasonable rate
Extra charge for Internet connection, staffs do not speak much English
We stay at Dynasty Hotel for 3 nights. It is not located in the center part of the town but there is a bus stop right around the cornor. Bus ride is one Chinese dollar which is about 15 cents US. There is a shuttle from airport to the hotel for 25 Chinese dollar which is about $4 US. we are very happy with the nice size room & services. The front desk staff was very helpfull & gave us the renovated room. Although the room was recently renovated, the renovation only limited to the bathroom. The room decor is original & dated perhaps from the 80s but it does not bother us. In general, the staffs at front desk spoke some English and we were able to communicate but the staffs at the restaurant do not speak much English. Good advises on public transportation. We were happy with the breakfast & lunch food at the restaurant. We had one breakfast & one lunch at the restaurant & ate out at various places including Muslim Quarter.

Xi'an is an old city, this is an old, but nice hot”
Great staff (it helped speed things up, that I had a native Chinese with me), we even had danish and yogurt in our room evey evening when we returned.
Water system needs refurbishing, hot to cold, hot to cold the entire shower. Almost everything we wanted to see was a long drive away, since most were out of town, and the other side of the city. I couldn't get a final printout of my bill at check-out.
We enjoyed our stay, just a little off the beaten path. Seems everywhere we wanted to go was on the other side of the city, and the ever changing water tempertures were the only drawbacks. I will stay there again when I return.

one front desk manager with a sadistic streak
Dynasty Hotel Xian is a very good value and conveniently located near the city walls, the bell tower and muslim quarter. The rooms were clean. They have baths as well as showers and an English TV station. The staff except for one front desk manager were very accomodating. Good place to stay.

Fantastic hotel!”
-Clean, spacious rooms -Great views of wall surrounding Xian -Excellent, rapid service -Good hotel restaurant
They must add a full time western breakfast to the menu of the hotel's cafe/restaurant.
The Dynasty hotel was a great experience, as was Xian. The rates were very reasonable, as booked through Agoda. This hotel is in an excellent geographical location to access Xian and it's historical sites. I highly recommend the Dynasty hotel for those searching for a complete hotel experience.

Decent Hotel”
Decent Rooms, located just outside the city walls. Free breakfast buffet, with both Chinese and American items. Overall, the buffet was good.
Hard beds. This is typical of hotel beds in China. We used an extra comforter for additional padding. Staff speaks very little English
We were in a Deluxe room, which costs a little more, but has a window with a view. The internet here was faster than typical of our other experiences in China. We checked in one day earlier than our reservation, which threw the staff for a total loop. It needed about an hour with our interpreter to get straightened out. We ate dinner one night in the Cafe restaurant. Food was good and a decent value.

Decent Value”
Good Location. Buffet restaurant was good and a decent value.
Staff Doesn't Speak much English
The hotel is comfortable with a decent location right outside the city walls. The Muslim Quarter is withing walking distance, and the Night Amrket is a short ditance further away. We enjoyed both. Anything other than basic check-in/checkout with staff will probably require an interpreter, as staff English is very limited. Be sure to get the "Deluxe" room for a few dollars more, as the "Basic" rooms are located on the basement level. We would stay here again.
