Wonderful stay”
Romantic, peaceful and lovely
Location was good, just walking distance to wild goose pagoda. See their musical fountain show at night. Room was good, peaceful at night. It was a wonderful full moon night when I stay and we can sit in the balcony to enjoy the view. There's geese and peacocks in the garden. Truly a garden hotel. Nice architecture and sprawling grounds. Highly recommended, Good location and restaurants are all nearby. Theres a public bus nearby to take to the terracotta museum. Just ask the staff and they will direct you there. And its cheap. Overall, a lovely stay here.

Beautiful garden”
What an amazing setting this hotel is located in. Near the da yen pagoda. And if you don't want to leave the hotel it has a beautiful garden filled with peacocks.
It was a very pleasant stay. Loved the location and the the fact there was a garden in the hotel with ponds and peacocks. The service was great. Everyone was extremely helpful and very willing to help. The rooms were a little old fashioned but they were clean and comfortable. A great hotel to get a more exotic experience.

Hidden Gem”
The delightful oasis of calm in a busy city; tasteful design and decor; quiet tranquil spaces
This hotel is a hidden gem in the middle of a busy international city. It's award winning build is tasteful and sensitive and from the entrance foyer to the bedroom, it's decor is rich and traditional. The quiet, large central garden with pool, koi, peacocks, swans and ducks adds to its tranquillity. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the service and food faultless (although we had the deep impression that previous 'westerners' had been quick to complain, rather than to integrate - which has sadly made the staff very apologetic - for absolutely no reason !!) It's where I shall stay if I'm every in Xian again.

Low price, big value!”
Service, value, location
I booked thinking it was a boutique hotel, but was surprised that it had that feel, but in a large, well appointed hotel! I made a mistake booking one day to early and Agoda had no problem working with the concierge to move it to the correct day. The exterior of the hotel exceeded my expectations, as did the classic interior, and stunning garden with swans and peacocks! My standard room was clean, comforfortable and well decorated, with the only draw back being the elevator was out of service. The hotel was right next to a big, beautiful, park and mall, and The Big Goose Pagoda! It was raining and I wanted to leave my bag, check out, and take the bus to The City Wall. Again helped, calling a bell-boy over. They loaned me an umbrella and he walked me 2 blocks to the bus stop AND waited with me till the bus came! Fabulous service and location :)

Garden hotel away from the city”
Nice garden, Next to shopping mall, Needs renovation
Location was convenient for me as I had a business meeting close by. Not recommended if you want to be in the city center with the night life etc. Taxis are hard to get in Xi'an.

Convenient Hotel”
Nice courtyard, Arranged local transport
Hotel was fine. Room furnishings seemed a little old, but was clean and efficient. Hotel was able to arrange transport and tour guide for the terracotta warriors, but the driver did not speak any English. Hotel staff were very nice. Would recomend hotel to anybody looking for a cheap hotel for 1 night.

perfect location
Hotel is big and beautiful. Big drawback was no air conditioning. Asked to have it turned on and was stalled for 2days before they admitted it was off for whole hotel. It was hot and muggy. Window opened but then mosquitos came in. Otherwise, it was a great place.

beautiful garden hotel with clean good size room”
friendly english speaking staff
within walking distance to eating places (across the road to the right of the hotel)and shopping. Ask the reception staff for direction(by local bus) to the Terracota Warriors. Bus no.307(express) can be board from the Xian railway station depot whereas Bus no.306(could be 302) can be board within walking distance from the hotel. Will definitely stay at this hotel next time I'm in Xian.

great hotel, great location, outdated rooms....”
the Chinese garden and proximity to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel mostly due to the great traditional Chinese atmosphere in the lobby and the garden. The staff is very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms are old and need to be updated. In the end, it didn't really bother us though. We had a great time exploring the area around the hotel and found great little parks and excellent restaurants.

grounds - close to the big goose pagoda
The hotel is nice and the staff very helpful Not easy to get taxi and find your way around the city - i think they want you to use their hotel transport or pay for a tour. Easy to organise tours. Do not get laundry done at this hotel - It is rediculously expensive.

staff vere very helpful,, english speaking and organised guided trips for us
the hotel is situated outside of the centre of xian approx 20 minutes from the city centre by taxi. the hotel is very comfortable with large well appointed rooms. there is a lovely park two minutes walk away which we visited one morning, lots of chinese people doing their tai chi. the bellhops were dressed in traditional costume and could not do enough to assist, we would definately visit again.
