5 mins walk from the Menshing station
it has been my 4th time to stay in this hotel. my first and second time was tolerable. The hallway is a bit dark and so its carpet is dirty. My third stay, the hallway is still dark and so has a dirty carpet. Rooms next door are sometimes open and you see its occupants smoking and sometimes gambling. My fourth stay was the same scenario I mentioned above. Carpet in room (31_)its carpet was so dirty. You can see a lot of hardened gum on top of it. Fallen hairs are visible. As usual, hotel management allow some guys to insert calling cards with sexy girls printed of it for short fun. Dont expect me to return to this hotel.

good hotel for backpackers”
low price, good location
The location is good, ten minutes to subway station. Quiet and clean rooms, resposible stuff. There are many local cuisin cafes near hotel. Main minuses: poor breakfast (I recommended against it) and awful internet in rooms.

Cheap
Not a great place to stay. Old and dirty and nothing to see in that area. Needs some refurbishment, but still not any reason to stay around this area.

This is a good hotel near subway station. It is cheap and clear. Quiet rooms, good personal. It costs its money. Good place for backpackers and sightseeing travelers.

Dirty Hotel”
Easy access to MTR station and plenty of eateries
Cleanliness of the hotel and room
My first impression with this hotel is that the reception is very dirty with dust all over the place. Upon entering the room, the room is not cleaned well and smelly probably this is the smell of their dirty carpet. The bed is too hard that our back aches.

Next door is the Restaurant
Generally the hotel is good to stay and only 5 minutes walking distance to MRT then to Shanghai world expo. If tired can go for foot massage just walk few steps away from the hotel.

A compact room with economic price ”
Comparable price, Near subway, Some staff are friendly and helpful even they cannot speak english
There's no nice restaurant in surrounding area, however, Minced pork bun restaurant located opposite to the hotel at the corner of the junction is really nice!!! The hotel is not far away from 'Minshang' subway station, however, there's a pack of people in rush hours and you hardly get in a train.

Comfy hotel @ good price”
Not far from metro + computer & internet in room
The bathroom had a smell when I arrived. I locked shallow water in the sink & dissolved a few drops of my scented foam bath in. It expelled the smell.
I walked passed the hotels almost 500m. It sits just on the corner of the intersection. Toiletries, toothbrushes & paste, shower caps, combs, clean towels, sandles & shoe-shine-cloth are fully provided. Also as Chinese hotel standards, 2 Chinese teabags daily & electric kettle are always found. The MUST to comment is not only free internet in the room, but a computer also!!! I shouldn't brought my own T-T One of the front-desk staffs & the guards are very friendly & helpful. I've read the other's comment about the hotel's food so didn't make a step into the restaurant at all. Shanghai's got all kinds of food on every turn you make.

Smokers Paradise”
Low Price accommodation, friednly staff
Old furnishing, dirty rooms and bad smell
Stayed from Oct 5-9, the first impression was bad as the room we had was filled with dust, and the bathroom was filled with foul ordour. The first night was a torture as the room had a mixed stench of cigarettes and stale air. Luckily we got help to change to a cleaner room in the next morning, however, the bathroom was still below par, as the stale air persisted due to bad ventilation, and the bathroom floor was mostly wet due to a bad workmanship of the shower area. The hotel does not provide non-smoking rooms, so it can be a torture for non smokers; hotel guests smoked everywhere, the lobby, the corridor, and the guests opposite our room happily puff while leaving their room door wide open, making our room filled with the foul smell as well. This hotel may be good for smokers as low-price, basic accommodation; definitely not advisable for non-smokers. Our only positive impression about this hotel is some of its friendly staff; will avoid this hotel in the future.

Near restaurants, train and massage establishments
Far from tourist spots
The hotel is commensurate to it's hotel rates. Although the location is far from tourist spots, it is compensated by it's being near to an met station and the abundance of restaurants and cheap food stalls within walking distance from the hotel. The bed is quite hard but the room is clean and big for the rate. The hotel staff doesn't speak English though thus it is hard to communicate with the front desk.

value for money - not too expensive
Cleanliness
Staff were reasonably helpful when needed. However hotel room accommodation was not so good. The carpet needed a good cleaning. I don't think they have ever heard of a vacuum cleaner. The remainder of the room - entrance and bathroom was clean though. Had to pay extra to use the computer supplied by them as I had dropped my laptop and had problems with it.

Hotel review”
For the price paid for, it is a reasonable good hotel.
Bathroom is too old and not so clean. Pictures shown on internet does not match with actual room. Picture showed twin but gave double bed room.
The stay is reasonably pleasant. Staffs are very friendly and counter service is good.It is easy to locate and pretty near underground train station.A goog Chinese restaurant is just next to the HOTEL. Overall the stay is rather pleasant especially for the price paid for. The shower area needs to be cleaned regularly to prevent water clogging.

Shanghai trip”
near MRT station, easy to locate
The hotel can be easily located and a 10 mins. walk from the MRT station. Safe and not crowded location. Room is big enough for what you pay. Though the linens were clean, bathroom are bit not so clean. (cobwebs can be seen, tiles are not properly clean and bathroom are a bit dim.) Overall, its still worth the money you paid.

Less than 5 minutes walk to Metra subway Mingsheng Station
Poor service, unhelpful staff and they don't have a safety deposit box in the reception counter.
Unhelpful staff who give the impression that asking them for help is not a good idea. Also the TV channels for English programme in my room was not working. The maintenance staff checked and confirmed that it was not working and that was the end of the matter. No attempt to replace defective router or TV or change of room. There was no sketch or map to show how to get to the nerby Metro station. I thought that was the very least that they should provide for their guests.

Inexpensive, takes out the things you don't need
The room was great, had all that you need ie; a computer with free internet, on demand cable TV, good shower. Nice bed. It doesn't have the things you don't really need. Basic necessity is well-provided.
