Hide Away Anse Possession
Jadranka from Croatia”
We enjoy staying ! Big apartment with great garden. Owner surprise us with coconut drink! thank you.
We booked larger room that came with two beds, stove, living room & had laundry machine in the bathroom. Nice staff. Had breakfast pre paid. Items in the breakfast could be of better quality and could be little more in quantity.
Obnoxiously rude and unruly owner. ”
The owner was extremely rude and discriminatory against Indians. She was pissed that we did not take the car rental with the agency that hotel had a tie up as we got a better offer from another agency (40 € per day is definitely better than 50). She even threatened to call the police. Was is it her cut share of the rental which pissed her off? Not sure, but it is no way to treat any customer regardless of nationality. It is customers prerogative to say yes or no to a product they are gonna buy (we never committed to the agency in the first place). She kept bringing up that her grandfather is Indian and she is ashamed of having Indian ancestry. Although the apartments are very well with good facilities, it is no way to treat a guest. It completely ruins the holiday mood. If one is so biased about a type of guest this hotel should stop renting to them. This makes sure the guest and the owner is happy. Terrible owner, I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.
Hi, It was not nice to book 2 car rentals at the same time. That car rental is private and once ordered, the car is at your door step. It is not us that got angry it is the car rental that we angry. He came from very far away to bring the car and that you did not take it. He wanted to charge you. Sorry to tell you frankly it is the Indian people mentality and not every country will except it. We are in shop business we know how the indian people are, always asking for discount. In Seychelles it is very difficult to deal with situation. We are not discriminating indians, as we do not get any problems with other nationalities.
We stayed here for 4 nights altogether and grew to love this place more each day. The rooms and grounds are exceptionally clean and no wonder--there is a small army of super friendly staff (who don't really speak English) constantly tidying the place up. The location was perfect for us and there was a bus stop right outside that made getting around the Praslin really easy and convienent. When we had any issues, the owner of the Hideaway, Daniel, was always so gracious and helpful and made us feel so welcome. We look forward to coming back here in the future and would recommend this place in a heart beat. Thank you for making our stay in Praslin so wonderful! Just a word of caution not related to Hideaway apartments themselves but across the road is a beautiful, calm and idyllic beach where there is a little table that always seems to have some people there trying to sell cruises and BBQs to tourists. We had a very unpleasant experience with them and would caution others to avoid them but definitely enjoy the beach because it is so calm and peaceful.
Good accommodation with homestay facilities”
We got a room on the ground floor, and the stay was comfortable. The apartment had facilities for self cooking and washing of clothes in the common area in the front. Being vegetarians, self cooking option suited us. There's a small but nice garden at the entrance to the apartment. A bus stop was nearby, and we were able to take a bus to Anse Lazio beach, and for super market trips. The beach in front of the property isn't great, but, offers a good view. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, we liked it.
Very nice place to stay. Very specious apartment with a huge bathroom, veranda and your own outside loungers. It is located across a nice beach (snorkelers go to the right side of the beach for some nice spots) and next to busstops to either end of the island. Although the owners mention another supermarket to go to by bus, there is a small supermarket on walking distance as indicated with a sign at the road. Wifi was free and fast and anse lazio was also relatively close by. Would stay here again if i had the chance.
Quite and big apartment ”
Everything was good and cleaning everyday was great! The apartment had everything for a big family... only problem was the Wi-Fi!
Homeowners are nice and environment is great.”
A bit far, need to take taxi to get there. But it is convenient to take bus to beaches. The most important thing is the homeowners are really nice and helpful. They are pleased to answer our questions and gossip with us. Also, its environment is great. There is a great garden. And The beach called Anse Possession is just opposite of the apartment.
Nice and quiet accomodation. We had room with a terrace, very good breakfast, room keeping every day.
Huge apartments near the beach ”
It was lovely. The apartment was clean and huge. They had tv and a washer, along with all of the required equipment to cook and clean. The only downside is the location, which is quite far from a supermarket or convenience store.
Good value for money”
We stayed one week there and it was a good place to overnight. At daytime we went for beaches and La Dique Iland. We rented bicycles from Le Duke Hotel. The only discomfort in the Hotel was the noise from fruit bats at night, when they dropped fruits on the tin roof with a laud bang.
Our stay was wonderful, to our surprise the Rooms were very spacious and comfortable size for a triple room, much better than shown in the images. The Location is picturesque, half a minute from the beach (Anse Possession) and 10mins from Anse Lazio, i thought we were lucky to bump into this option on Agoda.
Very nice stay”
Double room 2 star at most!”
Not that I got to have a look at the self catering apartments (as I would hope they are better than the double room we had) but our room the bed was rock hard, the pillows flat and lifeless and everything could have had a good scrub, especially the bathroom. The air conditioning did not cope with the heat and set on 16 it was still hot in our room. Our room also backed onto the kitchen area so we had that noise & smell to cope with. The price was way to expensive for what it is - a hostel. The beach in front is not great for swimming or snorkeling. Not deep and very slimy, rocky sand.
It was a so so stay.”
The bed quality is very low, it was making sounds during the night when we were oveturning; all rooms are facing yard, so if there are people outside spending time late, you will hear it clearly, as the windows are not so sound proof.
The hotel was new, clean and peacefull. The room was big and nice. We had a very confortable stay. It has a bus stop very close. It has a beach in front, wich is not as nice as others. You need to know there are no stores close so be sure to buy things you need at the nearest town, Anse Volvert, you an take the bus or even walk but it is nor a short walk.
Very nice gardon”
Cheap and simple but close to the beach”
The cheapest rooms haven't any real windows. The rooms too dark and small. Larger apartments are more comfortable but a bit pricy.
We had a lovely stay at hideaway, the position is just perfect, right in front of anse possession, one of the quietest beach in Praslin. The beds are a little hard but there are lots of pillows if you want much softer accomodation. In Praslin you need to rent a car to move fast, beaches are all around the island and it's worth seeing each of them. Best beaches are Anse Lazio, Anse Georgette, and Anse Volbert, Hideaway is right in the middle of the island.
