nice location to go to other places”
all other activities can be done for a fee, except walking trails by yourself. they have a nice fenced-up area containing some minor animals and it is close to quite a few major attractions. this place was base for me to visit the hippos and crocs in St. Lucia, false bay park and hluhluwe game reserve.
The food is AMAZE-BALLS.
I EXCEPTIONALLY LOVED the spider tour. most people come to africa for the big games- we were no different. But after the evening spider walk in the forest here, i found balance to the micro side of africa as well, cos it was AMAZING.
Big shout out to Ukuhamba Guiding's Ryan who was extremely patient and competent. he managed to spot a stick-insect in the dark amongst a bunch of branches. I CAN'T EVEN.... Other than that, he spotted tons of extremely interesting spiders and gave us so much insights into spiders. i have new appreciation for them. Amongst others, we saw (actual name might differ - i didnt take down any notes): pirate spiders, huntsman spiders, scorpions, TRAPDOOR SPIDERS (FAV), Spitting spider (Other FAV), one-string spider, 3d web spider, trip wire spider, millipede, centipede, etc etc etc. don't worry if you are scared of spiders - no one will be asking you to touch/eat them. you can just observe and listen. you won't regard it.

Secluded quiet place”
Food, Bedroom, Open fire
Stay was very nice, however the place is hidden in the middle of the bush on a private property with only grazers. Would have been very nice, especially thinking we have booked the honeymoon suite however that turned out to be a bit disappointing. While the lodge itself was very nice the view from the terrace was straight into some bush and trees. Not what you would expect, especially if some of the other "standard" lodges had a view of the river.
