Very good”
The place was perfectly well located, just outside the train station which really helps if you come by train, though it leaves you around 20min from city center in case you are planning to spend most of your time there. It also has a fast food restaurant in the bottom and a pub at floor one so you don't even need to get to the street to eat or have a drink. Bad thing was rooms arent properly isolated and you can hear your neighbours as if they were inside your room, combined with many youngsters coming by on the weekends and some others going back to their rooms late after drinking in the pub that can be a bit uncomfortable if you need quietness to sleep. The room was not very clean and the shower looked terrible, but it worked.

Old small hotel”
the location
I would say the only good thing is the location, just right next with central station. That was very loud and you can listen outside through the room clearly. We had a horrible night,as some guys were yelling and spoke loudly outside by 4am in the morning until 6 am!And we tried to call to the front desk buy the phone line is broken and doesn't work at all.

This place is obnoxious.”
This place is obnoxious. Yes it is very close to the central station to the Antwerp, yet the area around the station is very chaotic, especially in the night. The room I got is horrible. The living space is probably less than 4 square meters and with an disproportionally huge corridor. The room smells filthy and there is disgusting stain on the wall. I went to the public area and then realized that it is even worse. It is literally the worst hotel in all of my experience of traveling, which includes several hostels in Boston and New york where the rate for hotels are especially high. I can get a pretty decent room for the same price. This hotel is not even worthy of one star. FYI, I checked out in one hour and found another hotel just beside it in order to have a safe night and sleep tight.

Budget hotel close to the train station”
location and price
Budget hotel close to the train station. Small room with non enough plug sockets. Central location les than 5 minutes walk to the train station but noisy due to trams nearby. No wifi in rooms, only on the 1st floor. Ok for a night.

Decent enough hotel for a night or two”
Right near central station Good value Friendly staff
Was ok enough for a night or two. Room was clean enough but rather old (bed and decor) and small. Bit noisy too at times in the hallways. Only a stones throw away from central station and about a 20min walk to the historical part of the city. Shops and restaurants all very close too. Very basic hotel overall worthy only for short stay. Efficient check in/out process and staff were friendly.

Good place to stay overnight”
Centrally located, easy access to public transport,
I had to make two separate reservations for a longer stay, because one room type was not available for the whole period. For the time between checking out and in again, it was possible to leave my stuff in a room next door to the reception, so no problems. Everything I said in previous review still stands. The second room had private shower and toilet, but for me this wasn't really important. The bed was equally good and that was all I needed.

Good place for a busy traveller”
Easy access to public transport, supermarket next door, 200 m to the railway station
If you have a busy schedule and tight budget, and you need the hotel just for staying overnight somewhere, I would recommend this hotel. It is located within short walking distance from the railway station and you can't have better access to all kinds of public transport. The grocery store was practically next door and was open until 8 in the evening, Mon-Sat. If you prefer hot meal, affordable small restaurants were everywhere around, some probably working past midnight. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. If you pay with a card, it will cost you 1.50 per day more than when you pay with cash. Internet was slow, but that's rather a rule than an exception. If you have a lot of battery operated equipment, be warned that there are only two sockets in the room to plug in your adapters. The showers in the corridor were not in the best condition, but usable and soap supplies were sufficient. No luxury, all essentials.

Location is very good, right in front of the central station. The rooms are small, with partition walls and can hear clearly the neighbour next door.

Overpriced basic hotel”
Central location
Very basic hotel which was heavily overpriced. The room we stayed in was with a shared bathroom. There seemed to be only one toilet and two showers shared by one whole floor. Very bad value for the money, but a central location.

only location but there are a lot of other hotels that area.
The room is not like the picture and very tiny. even does not have the electric socket in the room so connected my laptop on the one in the bathroom. None of staff is kind and do not expect any service. This is not the hotel and even worse than motel.

great location but unreliable facilities”
location, rate
The hotel is located near to the central train station, metro and bus stations. The room is small, nice, with TV, and a bathroom without toilet. The facility is ok. The price is ok. However, when the electronic lock of the room was broken one time in the afternoon, I had difficulty in finding the staff in the reception or via the hotline to help me. Fortunately, in the daytime, I eventually got the lock fixed. But I worried throughout the stay and was afraid to go to the toilet outside the room at night. Moreover, on the morning of checkout, they had their credit card machine broken. I was frustrated.

good price - super thin walls”
Location, wifi, sink in room
the walls are super thin in this hotel. i heard people walking by, talking, closing doors, and alarms going off. there were only 2 toilets and showers for women for the whole floor - i didn't ever have to wait, but it didn't seem like there were that many people on my floor. the location was very convenient to the train station and walking distance to the sights. the staff was also very helpful.

Near the station
It is a good locatin.(near the central station) Price is reasonable. But ,one woman front staff is unkind and unfriendly. I think she should change job. I did not feel any hospitality and service from her attitude. I feel bad impression about this hotel by her. Another staff is kind and friendly.

Budget hotel just at front of Antwerp station”
Good location at center of Antwerp shopping and tourist area
Small room and no hot water maker
We stayed for two nights for Antwerp city tour and sight seeing. We found the hotel just right for budget travelling. The hotel just located at the front of the station, not more than one minute walk from the station. We found the city tour bus just near the hotel. We also found restourants, shopping area, and convenience store near the hitel.

review for my stay at Hotel Anwerp Billard Palace”
Good location
Beware of the 2 very rude cleaning ladies!
Hotel Antwerp Billard Palace is a small budget hotel near the main train station. Location is good, feel safe enough even though it locates near the busy and a bit noisy at time train station area. A lot of cheap foods nearby. You can walk to almost all interesting sites. My room is clean enough with basic furniture. Bathroom is ok. Security is also ok. For me, all went well until the last day. After I checked out and left my bags at the hotel, I went for more sightseeing before my late afternoon train. When I came back and asked for using of the restroom, the man at the reception said it’s ok to go up to my floor to use the restroom. But when I did go up, the two cleaning ladies were very rude, stopped me in the hallway, and didn’t allow me to use the restroom. When I came back down, and explain what happened to the guy at the reception, he was confused but finally told me to use the restroom in the restaurant instead. Too bad after all the good things. (PS. Other staffs are ok. One can even say “hello” in my language.)

Size of room,served purpose, location
Overall look of the hotel,
Not a hotel that would suit for a romantic weekend with the wife!!!, but it suited for this visit as all that was needed was a room for 4 grown men to lay their heads, nothing more needed nothing less. Reception were a friendly bunch, location perfect for restaurants and bars, close to motorways and sits on top of the train station so getting to and from hotel not a problem.
