Spacious suits with access to executive lounge. More variety for breakfast would enhance the experience. Many reviewers mentioned the steep hill to walk in order to get to Meguro Station. You can actually use escalators through the Amazon offices next door as a short cut.
Great cultural experience”
The Japanese room was spacious and clean. Staff are professional, meticulous and courteous. Gourmet served during tea time and breakfast at the executive lounge was both tasty and tasteful. Greatest part of all was the cultural experience. There was a brief sado (tea appreciation) session with the lady in kimono in the executive lounge and she was very hospitable, offering some insights into the art of tea making. The art tour in the morning was expertly conducted by a lady member of hotel staff (her English was superb), and the flower arrangement exhibition that took place at 百段階段 was a great use of the venue. All in all a memorable stay in an exquisitely furnished house of traditional art.
Old but nice. We love the Traditional Japanese style room with spa baht and sauna+steam room inside. Bedroom is too small compare to the size of the whole suite but comfortable futons. Breakfast is fantastic. Nice room service. F&B in the Lounge is good. We feel like staying in a resort even its located in the center of Tokyo. Convenien location. Close to Maguro station. And also there are many Taxi stand by in front of the hotel.

i was get charge from this hotel. non sense!”
on my way to this hotel. i thought this hotel was so close to meguro station since it said in google map so close to meguro st. but unfortunately you have to walk downhill and very steep downhill. i was carry two big luggage from kyoto.. and when i check in to this hotel. this hotel ask me to pay Goverment tax for as long as i can remember was 500 YEN which is not too much. but i just think is nonsense i have to pay again. cause i thought i already pay everything through agoda that including Tax too. sad things is for this such a MEGA hotel.. and room honestly was nice. but for this hotel to not having even 1 bottle of water! THAT IS SILLY!

Worth the money you paid for”
This hotel is pretty great for what it’s worth. Service is up to par and as far as location goes, it’s a pretty convenient walk to the train station (Meguro). As far as my observation goes, there’s a lot of expats in the area due to its vicinity with global company offices like Amazon, etc. So naturally, some of the businesses are international and tourists friendly.
Highly recommended ”
Gajoen is my usual choice of hotel for the last few visits. I enjoy the space in the rooms (80sqm), which is pretty Rare in Tokyo. Love that the hotel location is quite easily accessible to the train station and also lots of eating places just within the vicinity of the hotel. Highly recommended for family to due to the sizes of the rooms. only complain is that there are no gym facilities, but the rest of the plus point of the hotel made up for it,. Will sure stay in my next visit.
My Go-to hotel stay for sure during my Tokyo trip. Rooms are really big and comfortable as all the rooms are suites of about 80sqm. Excellent service, convenient location in my opinion as it is only a short walk to Meguro station. Hotel was so nice as to give us an upgrade (to 110Sqm), which made the stay even more memorable. Western Room floors offers netflix and Nespresso coffee which are added perks. Jacuzzi and steam bath available in your own room which makes you staying in so relaxing and nice. Highly recommended .
Excellent Beautiful Art Hotel”
The best hotel located in central Tokyo, it's a very beautuful hotel with all the creative artwork and paintings, my son love it very much! It's a very luxurious hotel, we choose the tatami room style, and surprises that they also provide the sauna inside our room! Highly recomended to travel for your lovely family
Nice big rooms for Tokyo”
Great place extended my stay for two more nights, but had to downgrade the room unfortunately but even that room was good. The staff didn't have great English unfortunately but we were able to communicate most of our needs.
Beautiful hotel with every detail being considered and immaculate. Checking in procedure was smooth and made us feel welcome and relaxed after a stressful trip. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Perfect hotel for the start of our japan experience! Shuttle bus to the station made it such much easier to get places too :)
Awesome hotel - highly recommended ”
Stayed 4 nights in Tokyo during my recent stay due to extremely good reviews on travel sites. I couldn't agree more. I have been a frequent traveler to Tokyo n this is the biggest room I have stayed all these years. The land scaping and the deco of the hotel was really impressive. Service from the front desk to each n every hotel staff was good . Cleanliness was tiptop . Gajoen has also impressed me with their little details in the room . This hotel has put A lot of thoughts into customer's need. Room size is huge and they even have jacuzzi bath n steam room to pamper their guests. It's makes u wanna spend time in the room as they have thought of everything to the customers convenience. Distance to the nearest train station is only a short walk. There are 2 cafes within the hotel vicinity and many eating places to choose from just a short walk from the hotel. I will definitely stay in this hotel again for my 2nd visit this year end.
We were delighted with the hotel and the facilities. The staff were typically Japanese helpful, respectful and polite. The entrance is delightful, the rooms are large, even by Western standards. We could see Fuji-san and the sakura along the Megaro River from our window. Short walk to the JR station, or hotel shuttle. Lawson up the elevator so no need to spend on breakfast if you don't wish too. In room dining is great and not too expensive all things considered. If the room cost isn't an issue, then the rest will be fine. Thoroughly recommend at that level.
Meguro Gajoen is a nice place to host a big event such as a wedding or concert. I stayed at the double bed room with living room. I loved the living room area where you can place your laptop and get some work done and relax. The bathroom had luxurious set-up. I truly enjoyed my room!
Hotel is amazingly beautiful with on-site restaurants, grocery store, and ATM. It is also close and walking distance to Meguro Train Station and shops. And the staff? They are all pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Tokyo.
unique Japanese experience ”
If you want to experience the traditional Japanese style accommodation this property seems to be able to offer you this. What's more, it is only minutes walk from the closest train stop and there are many places for eatting and drinks. Certain parts of the hotel are looking tired urgently needs revamping.
For our first trip to Tokyo, we wanted a luxury hotel that wasn't part of an international chain - something in a neighbourhood that would be less tourist-y and more "local". Our son's Japanese colleagues suggested the Meguro Gajoen and although it wasn't on our travel agency's list of Tokyo hotels, we decided to go for it. Turns out it was the perfect choice. First of all, the hotel décor is absolutely sumptuous with magnificent mural frescoes and other Japanese artwork everywhere you look (even the bathrooms!). A cascading waterfall, tiny bridges over little brooks ... the lobby is exquisite. You feel immediately like you are in the heart of Japan. The week we were there, there was a floral art exhibition and Japanese aficionados turned out to see the creations of one of Japan's most popular artists. The hotel is a popular spot for weddings, so we enjoyed watching joyful families arrive for wedding ceremonies. The hotel breakfast was fabulous, with Japanese and European choices. And the huge rooms are beautifully appointed with high quality materials and amenities - top notch luxury. I can't say enough about this hotel! Add to that its location 5 minutes from the subway. Meguro Subway station seems off the beaten track, but in fact it's very convenient. The Yamanote line runs around the city and takes directly you to all the best tourist sites. It's an above-ground train line that is much more pleasant than the subway. There are tons of restaurant options at Meguro and even more at the next stop Ebisu. These are areas of Tokyo that are more residential, so you see families and people going about their business - as opposed to Shinjuku, Ginza and the Tokyo station areas that are more for business.
It is a very amazing accommodation during our stay 2 nights”
