A good choice in Nagasaki. A nice hotel in a pretty old building. Staff was always helpful. I do suggest a bigger room if traveling with more than one child.

Had an excellent stay at Hotel Monterey. A classic-vintage style hotel that was very comfortable, clean, and homey. The staff was very helpful and willing to assist with questions we had about places to visit in Nagasaki. We would definitely stay there again.

Definitely recommend this hotel if you totally want to feel "Nagasaki-ish" trip. Nicely decorated room and kind staff!! Located nearest attractions, train station and I surprised at the dinner I had in their restaurant was very delicious as well as breakfast.

Nagasaki Hotel Monterey”
Great hotel easy to find on my first trip to Nagasaki. Italian restaurant a bonus for value, food and service. Hotel rooms very good size - enjoyed Room #817 which had water views. One block from streetcar station and two stations from Nagasaki Airport Bus terminal. Bonus able to purchase daily streetcar ticket. Staff helpful and highly professional.

Excellent”
The place is well located and the building has a deep history. I like the décor and the fine touches which gives travellers a very pleasant feeling. The breakfast was sumptuous and the service was good. However, the front desk staff do not speak English well and it was difficult to communicate with them. One comment about booking online for this hotel was that the rooms were not accurately described. I booked a room with 2 beds as the photo showed, but it turned out to be a room with one double bed instead. I asked to change room but my request was refused citing hotel full as the reason. For this reason I could give them a very poor rating as it did not provide the service that I requested. However, I note that it was a poor description of the facility rather than the poor maintenance of the facilities so I rate the hotel as it appealed to me. The hotel management should provide a better description of their rooms to Agoda or other online booking website.

Wonderful location, lovely old world hotel”
This was a great fit for us, close to Dejima and the harbour and the Dutch Slope. The rim was has great, the bed comfortable. I was disappointed that the restaurant had no vegetarian option at all; it doesn't take much to offer just one.

Older themed hotel. Good proximity to walk and sightsee.”
Nice themed hotel. Seemed older. There was wear in the bathroom. Lighting in the hallways was quite dim. Annoying to have to pay for hotel parking or drive quite further to have to look for another location. Was quite expensive and was a hassle with small children. Buffet breakfast was nice. Lots of options. Proximity to downtown area, Dejima, and Glover Gardens/Dutch slope/historical districts was very nice.

We had such an amazing time at this hotel. The old spanish decorations made the space feel very cozy and welcoming, and the location was perfect - near the tram and Gunkanjima tours. I only wish we had the chance to stay longer!

Good Location and Money for Value”
The hotel is only 0.5 km from the highway and it is very close (within 10 min walking distance) to attractions such as Glover Garden, Oura Catholic Church, and only 15 min drive to Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. The staff can speak simple English and they are very helpful. The only downside is that the car park of the hotel is in the basement. You need their staff to assist you when driving in and out of the elevator, which is a little clumsy and inconvenient. Their parking charge is relatively expensive (JPY1,800/night). I found that it is much cheaper to park in the public car park such as the one opposite to the Confucius Museum, which is only 5 min walk from the hotel. It only costs JPY300 from 8:00pm to 9:00am.

Good location, it's just a minute walk to the Nagasaki Denki, near several tourist spots such as dutch slope and glover garden and gunkanjima cruise 24 Hour Convenient Store, it's just a minute walk away from the Hotel Staff's responsive and helpful, one was able to speak english, another one wasn't able to but still managed to communicate through and helped me with the booking of a shuttle bus/shared taxi at Unzen Room's pretty cute, ESPECIALLY THE ELEVATOR DAMN! It looks anciently cute! You'd be surprised when you enter the elevator. :'D

Old Fashioned Hotel”
The location of this hotel is very close to Ourakaigandori street car station. A lot of tourist spots are also walkable such as Glover Garden, Chinatown, and the Gunkanjima Concierge where you will board the ship to the Battleship Island. The hotel was built in an antique way where everything looks old which made us a bit scared. There was also a mobile phone with unlimited usage of data to use inside the room which is very convenient. However we only stayed for a night and we weren't able to utilize this.
