Great and helpful staff”
The staff was friendly and helpful, from the gate, front of house, waitrons in the restaurant to the ushers. We were only there for one night and one morning so didn’t get to explore the property too much. It’s lovely, quiet setting. The 2 cons were: that the pool could’ve been cleaner and the loungers better organized- it was 35 degrees - that would encourage guests to use it, therefore stay on the property and spend more money on the property during the day. 2nd con: please add another sign at for people coming from Sun City - the right turn just before your main entrance takes one up the wrong way. Map apps will keep directing people to turn there because of the size of your property. So you could add a sign that shows that your entrance is the next one. Yes there’s a current sign on the road, which is why it makes sense to turn there when GPS says turn, only to end up at someone’s gate like I did :( so an additional sign would be useful.
What's not to like here! The bush with it's wild sights and sound, the clean air and verdant atmosphere gave us something we haven't had in a long time. As for the hospitality, from friendly and warm reception, the pleasant porter and housekeeping staff etc. made our 2 night stay seem so short. We are definitely returning.
Nice country lodge for a family weekend”
We absolutely loved the 2 day stay. The hospitality of this establishment is above par and as there were a few minor glitches when booking in I am happy to say they were so well resolved by the manager, who tried his utmost best to keep us happy, so there was no reason to complain about a thing. We will definately visit this lodge again and will recommend it to all.
We wished we could stay longer”
We stayed for one night , and we wished we could stay longer. We were traveling with two boys and we appreciated the way the room was set up. We stayed in a Superior room and we enjoyed the outside shower think it was the best. The breakfast is always the high light, there is variety and its quite filling until lunch. The staff make staff is very friendly and helpfull. Just a suggestion, please consider installing phones on the room, it is an inconvinience to always walk to reception each time we need something.
Great Stay real value for money Must go back”
kedar is perfectly located and its worth staying there. About 25 kms from Suncity. I have been yher several times and the staff is very friendly and willing to assist. But what I find to be an incovinience is having no phones in the rooms. When there is something that does not work in the room or there is a need to call house keeping it is tirering to walk to reception all the time.
Awesome Bushveld Experience”
We had a very pleasant stay at the lodge. It is uniquely decorated and on a historical farm. Really feels like a nice getaway from the city. Also so much to do and see around the area. Food was great but the restaurant buffet can run up your bill if you eat there every night. Recommend the Pub meals though. For me the greatest thing was the outdoor shower we had. So refreshing to shower under the African morning sun.
Great lodging and experience.”
Location was awesome. Security was tight I guess? Upon arrival at main gate, guard had a name list of guests. Was quite an interesting drive into the lodging area. Got to know that we are basically living in a game reserve, so don't be surprise if you see wildlife roaming around. Didn't really spend much time in the lodge. One night, on the way back at midnight, drove up to a giraffe standing in the middle of the driveway enjoying his late night supper, while I had to wait for it to walk away. So, it's one nice place where I will definitely return to stay if I ever need to be in Rustenburg again. Excellent choice.
Good And Comfortable Stay”
We stayed here for 2 nights, and enjoyed every moment in the resort. The room is of good size and the heater in the room is warm enough for us over the spring season. Will surely return to this resort again if we are to visit Sun City or Pilanesburg ....
A cheaper place to stay compare to Sun City ”
It is a great place to stay if you are visiting Sun City. The hotels in Sun City Resort are very very expensive. We found a nice place just 15 mins drive away from Sun City Resort. Was surprised that the villas were very clean and comfortable. The heater in the room is warm enough for my family , mainly because we were there during the early spring. The weather wasnt that cold like winter. The surrounding of the resort was beautiful to me. The breakfast spread was awesome, we stayed for 2 days and beside some main breakfast meals , the side dishes was not the same like the first day. We had a great time during breakfast. Will definitely come back again.
Very relaxing. Nature at its best.”
My family got the break we needed and this was the perfect location. The spa is set in the wilderness and that in itself was therapeutic. We had the freshest fruit every morning at breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised to find a national monument inside the resort. The hotel boasts the largest collection of historical mementos that I have ever seen.
Luxury lodge-style hotel at very competitive price”
Deluxe rooms in this hotel were beautifully decorated, contrary to the rather plain looking standard rooms. An upgrade is certainly worth the cost. The location of the hotel is very well indicated, whatever direction you are travelling from. The hotel has an open bar and huge restaurant. Dining options are rather limited (buffet style) but the breakfast buffet is perfect. Rooms are located in a beautiful tropical garden. The resort is located at approximately 20 km from Sun City and you can also easily make a day trip to Pilanesberg Game Reserve.
Excellent facilities ”
We stayed here for 1 night to do the Lebone Parkrun. Only 10 mins away so perfect location. We were very impressed with the facilities. Fascinating displays of African history, Nyala wandering around the camp and zebra in the nearby bush. Lots to see and do. Special thanks to Lebo for his charming manners and showing us around the history displays.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hi 5 to the chef who prepared Kudu stew”
Everything is historical, the room and the furniture reminded me my grandparents house. The are so many things to learn about.
I love the place is so relaxing
Under the Trees”
Kedar offers so much more than a room and a nights stay. The setting is amazing! Walking through the lodge amongst the trees is really relaxing. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful, especially Arnold, Thank you making our trip so memorable.
It is a really lovely place to stay at. I would suggest attention/maintenance to pool area (new mattress for chairs etc and side tables) and kids area (no hula-hoops or bean bags for games that have been built specifically for that) ... i would also suggest a revamp of bar couches inside. there is no more filling in the couches and rather uncomfortable)
refresh in nature”
excellent. hint: put little trollies in each room to push everyday bags etc instead of carrying it, to your car. it is a lot to carry with kids. line up the trollies somewhere in reception for use at arrival again.
Worst service ever”
The service was absolutely horrible. The manager Orbit was rude and arrogant. He is the reason i will never come back to the hotel. I have been to many destinations but i have never been treated or spoken to that way.
in principle great, but ...”
th e only negative Point is: If the Restaurant is closed, Food at the "Heroes Bar" is not really good, sometimes even really bad. Over the years I have made that expewrience three times. The Restaurant itself is fine, breakfast really good. Some staff Needs more Training, if they clean the rooms, there may be Long hours between taking the old towels and bringing new ones. If you waant to go to the nice pool, that is not too good. But they are friendly and polite, only this is no replacement for a not replaced towel ... Otherwise we love the place.
magnificent heritage resort”
We had a great experience. We received a warm welcome and found the staff generally to be very helpful and friendly. The setting is quite magnificent and the amenities are great. I have recommended it to many of my friends and will definitely return time and time again.
