good but not convinence”
Rooms are big quiet and clean, Staff is friendly, it is true a 4 star rated hotel. Great restaurant with the same name near by.
Too far away from MTR, not much to offer in walking distance.
Hotel is away from street traffic so it is quiet at night. Security is good because it has a parking fee collecting both. All guests parking is free. Rooms are big and clean. It is up to the 4 stars standard. The attached restaurant has good foods. Only problem is if I want to go anywhere, I have to cal a taxi.

While there are many mixed reviews about King Garden Hotel and I was really confused before the booking but after having stayed here for about 3 days, I felt overall it offered a great value for money. The location is good and aproachable from most of the markets and business districts. Overall I would recommend if you can manage with little or no English from the staff.

Really Good Value for Money”
Location, Quality of Rooms, Value for Money
Booked the hotel for a 72 hr stay over. Found it was very conveniently located for attractions in the city if using the cheap taxis. We were in B block and found the room to be a generous size, clean and well maintained. Staff had very little English but not a problem. The included breakfast was a waste of time, very little food laid out and it wasn't replenished often but considering the price of the rooms we were too upset.

Value location garden setting
Good as usual. The maintenance staff does need to pay more attention to keep sinks traps unplugged and stoppers working. Check-in and check-out remin inconsistent. Staff is friendly English can be marginal. Trainees are often placed at the hotel and that can slow down procedure. Computer problems when making reservations (records lacking or can't be found). lot of little things that need attention. The hotel restaurant as I have said in the past is excellent but can also be taken over by parties or events without notice. Staff knowledge of Guangzhouis limited.

Location, value, amenities including excellent restaurant on site
I am a frequent guest as my reviews will reveal. Recent steps to restore room amenities that had been for sale (tooth brush, shampoos are now back to being supplied for free. Good move. Staff remains cheerful though the staff computer system needs updating. The staff computer system seems prone to occasionally not registering a booking. All minor issues, but the devil is in the details. Service continues good to excellent.

As ever an excellent value with small faults”
value for money. large comfortable rooms, garden setting in the middle of a giant city, excellent restaurant on campus also gym and pool and conference facilities. increasingly professional staff with better english.
another large well-appointed room in the a building at bargain rates. the biggest king size bed you have ever seen. a recent odd quirk are the elimination of shampoos and conditioners and moisturizers in favor a extra cost "kit". even toothbrush and toothpaste and comb are not in a 6rmb (1 us dollar) packet for sale. the only "freebie, a single bar of soap. seems counterproductive for an otherwise classy hotel. why not raise rates by 10 or 15 rmb and continue the free toiletries?

A better bargain and value”
Location, location, location, plus comfort and park setting
my previous stay at the king garden was less than satisfactory. this time worked better than expected. i had always used the b building that has more elaborate decor in the rooms and public areas at a slightly higher price. other travelers thought the difference in price was worth the upgrade in rooms. not soi finally discovered. the a building, the least expensive rooms were more than acceptable. a 519 proved to be bigger than rooms in the a building at a discount. the only amenity missing from the a building are bathrobes, otherwise the rooms are equally well equipped. try it, you may like it, you will certainly like the price.

Delight”
Value, park setting in the middle of the city, tastefully furnished rooms (B building), excellent attached restaurant, good breakfast, gym and pool
I have stayed here often and it continues to be among my favorite hotels. For a foreigner it is a chance to be in Chinese environment that I enjoy. Many smaller conferences use the hotel, a mark of satisfaction. English at the front desk has improved (years ago it was nil). Staff are better trained than they were.

A continuing pleasure with value”
Decor and furnishings in the B building, landscaped green grounds, excellent reataurant, gym and pool
the front desk staff are vastly improved for guests who may have tried the king garden a year ago and more. there has been one staff member with adequate english, a big change from past years. patience helps, some of the desk staff appear to be interning and are not seasoned. staff in the b building are universally helpful and cheerful.

Getting better and an excellent value”
Attractive decor and furnishings; leafy location in the middle of the city
my stays at the king garden go back four years. management used a lot of trainees at the front desk, but they now have professional supervision and enough english to get by for english speakers. the b building has the more attractive rooms and public space the a building is the best value in town. with an agoida discount the b building is value for money. buffet breakfast is copious, gym is a bonus. the hotel restaurant is among the better cantonese cuisines in town. maintenance remains a weak point. safes usually need battery replacement. hand shower work but overhead shower is nonfunctional in many rooms. after four years you'd think someone would fix them. house staff are helpful though without english. setting, value, amenities are all plusses.

Very good Hotel. The issue was that when we were checking in they couldn't find our reservation for some reason and took them about 90minutes to check us in. This was as 12:00 in the evening, and even worst they didn't speak a word of english. but aside else went pretty well.

Nice and clean hotel environment. Room presentable with nice decoration. Location near town.
No alternative restaurant. No public transport. Room door not able to prevent noise from outside.
I generally like the room and hotel surroundings. Unfortunately, i unable to get help or direction from the reception counter, as they don't understand much English. Looking for food also a problem, there is only Chinese restaurant, and usually packed in the morning. Noises from outside easily heard in the room, and i have to wake up early morning due to the noises. I would be visiting and staying in the hotel. Sorry ..

Short Stay At King Garden Hotel ”
1. My room is spacious and clean 2. Staff are friendly and warm 3. Accessible to places of interest
1. No currency exchange service 2. Breakfast items were generally same for 3 days and average in taste 3. No bathtub in my room
It took me about 30 minutes from airport to reach King Garden Hotel. The hotel's facade reminds me of elegant residential building with its uphill driveway to reach it main entrance. Upon reaching, I am immediately served by the friendly staff and got myself check into the room soon after the non hassle check-in. The room is spacious and clean and equipped with proper personal amenities, beverages. However, a missing bathtub is rather disappointing since it boasted to be national standard of a 5 star hotel In the business centre, the staff there were warm and friendly in providing me the information to reach those places of interest and shopping centres. A staff even surf the internet to provide me the actual address of the shop. With their help, I am to reach the major museums, parks and shopping around King Garden hotel. It was enjoyable 3 nights stay for me.
