Lazare Picault Hotel
very good simple Hotel. There is everything what you need for your stay.”
It's a nice clean place.Of course there is no action at night time.you are having a simple but good breakfast and there is a small restaurant across the street. The Bungalows are spotless. The only downside is the very hard pillows.
Amazing view across the bay”
We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel, which is right next to an amazing beach. We stayed in Room 14, advertised as the Honeymoon Suite. It was wonderful to wake up and see the sweeping bay/turquoise waters from our bed and lovely to sit on the balcony which had 2 different sitting areas. (The buffet breakfast can be eaten here if preferred). The room was spacious with kitchen area and large well appointed bathroom. Bed linen, towels and the room were all spotless. Staff were helpful and polite and breakfast was perfectly good, though not lavish. Eggs were prepared to order and cooked perfectly. Hard to find fault at all, but just some things to note: Whilst the kitchen area was nice to have, there is just a kettle and fridge. A microwave/cooker would be a huge benefit, especially as there is only one restaurant within walking distance and the road is not good for night driving. Many (quite deep) steps up to the room make it not good for dodgy knees!
One of the best views on Mahe”
The hotel is a charming place overlooking the beach. Excellent location and the view from the room is out of this world. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are ok. The restaurant in front of the hotel has really good food, the best that I tried on Mahe - fish curry was really good. Maybe best value for money that we found on Mahe. But you can not beat the view, probably the best on Mahe. They are not a high luxury resort and they are not trying to be, that is what i liked, it feels more cozy. You will definitely need a car to explore Mahe. We will definitely return.
This hotel is in an amazing location if u are going for relaxing romantic scene. The hotel rooms have such a rustic pretty feel and the ocean view from your bed is breathtaking. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and fresh. The staff here were unbelievable. They go out of their way to make sure u have a pleasant stay and are so genuine. I think the beaches at this hotel and surrounding area are the prettiest in mahe. There is no pool but who really needs one when the ocean is steps away. This hotel is way under rated. I felt like our room and view alone was top notch. I thank all the staff there for our wonderful stay. I definitely recommend here to stay for your vacation.
Quite beautiful place”
Really good spot for couples, located on a beautiful mountain side and with a beautiful view.
perfect location overlooking Lazare Bay from the balcony, quiet, big superior room with comfy bed and quiet and efficient aircon, little extra kitchenette room with fridge and sick, but no stove to prepare some cold dishes, beach access just across the street, good for swimming and snorkeling, fantastic breakfast buffet style with fruits, ham, cheese, eggs, everything you could wish for, very friendly and helpful staff, would stay again at Lazare Picault Hotel.
Wifi works only in the lobby + CATS!”
They have 4 cuddly cats! Beats everything! 1 extra star for cats! Yay!
A good hotel in a calm area”
This hotel is located quite far from everything, but on the other hand it also enables enjoying time in a calm area and a beautiful beach almost next to the hotel. We visited Lazare Picault at the end of turist season and it was wonderfully nice and calm. There was plenty of space on the beach, that by the way, has been reviewed second best beach in Seychelles. Views from junior suite balcony were great, we enjoyed sitting there almost every evening. Staff was very nice and helpful, but you need to rent a car in order to be able to travel to other locations. Bus stops almost in front of the hotel and is an easy way to go to Victoria in case you don´t have a car available. There is also a great reastaurant La Gaulette just 100 meters from the hotel, but other restaurants are a bit further away. All together, this is a nature orientated nice hotel with calm environment. If you like that, this is a very good choise, but if you wish to have activities nearby the hotel, then you should choose a hotel from Victoria or Beau Vallon.
Budget accommodation with views”
The views from the sea view rooms and breakfast area are stunning! The room was comfortable enough, but could use some updates and the fluorescent lighting does the place a disservice. Very good AC. The hotel is built into the hill, so be prepared for a climb up and down the steep steps while carrying your own luggage. Bring your own beverages for sundowners on the balcony, as there is no bar/restaurant, just breakfast. The location was good for us as we were looking for surf on this side of the island and it was adjacent to a scenic bay. However, it was quite a drive to town/the airport/ferry terminal so a rental car was needed. A decent stay overall for the price (relative to other hotels in Seychelles which are generally quite expensive), but don't expect a high end or resort experience here.
Excellent location, food and cleanless to improve,”
Overall a pleasant stay, location and view are amazing as well as the staff working at the hotel!!! Breakfast is poor and the genaral cleanless needs improvement!!!

Great view! Boorish attitude of staff”
Good things: settled ahead of time, very lonely place, incredibly beautiful beach. Bad things: didn't work free wi-fi, last 3 days room was not cleaned, at the last cleaning service forgot a big bag of trash, so he stood up to his departure 4 days, boorish behavior of some staff, after checking out of the hotel to take a shower possible only for money
Nelly
Nice Place (7/10)”
A little bit far from airport and the roads were scary as they were long and winding. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They spoke english very well so communication was not a problem. View was spectacular. Buffet breakfast was a bit off because there was a very limited choices of food. There's only 1 store to buy stuff and one 1 restaurant nearby. Good thing: they accept major credit cards, except American Express.
