Exellent”
A great location with fantastic views. The room (and bathroom) was a good size and spotlessly clean and comfortable, the king size bed was a huge king size. The food at the hotel was to a high standard and reasonably priced. Mr Duong (the owner) is very knowledgeable on the area and offered us a free bicycle tour of the surrounding area. Free use of bicycles is a bonus. Mr Duong was very helpful in organising our onwards travel and arranging transport to the road junction to meet the bus. It is a small family run hotel with staff that are sincere and helpful.

Very nice small hotel”
This hotel "saved" me from a freezing cold homestay which had no sort of heating. I'm ok in hot weather but I don't do well when it's very cold. The homestay could only provide more blankets, not even a space heater, so I decided to leave and find a hotel with climate control. Luckily I found Mai Chau Valley View last minute, and it was perfect. The owner is very nice. The rooms are clean, the view is also very good. It's so close to Lac Village too, that still felt like I was there. There was heating in the rooms and hot showers. And the breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend staying here. They provide free bicycles to guests as well.

The service provided here is excellent! Being in 5-stars hotels before, I have never had such services with so much sincerity. The hotel is just 20 meters from the bus stop, very convenient! Free bikes is a plus. Motors are for rent at reasonable price. However, little problem with 2 motors that we rented: the first one had a flute of gasoline that we got out of gasoline just after 10 km, had to come back in emergency to the hotel. The second was ok but the brake worked not very well (still ok, but we could not use for some slope due to safety reason). Anyway, it was a great pleasure staying there. Thank you for your services!

Excellent Service”
We were trying to get a bus from Ninh Binh to Mai Chau and couldn’t find one because it was really last minute but the boss of the hotel helped us through and even personally picked us up in the middle of the crossroad where our bus alighted us and took us for a bicycle tour while explaining to us his village’s culture and history. The hotel was really clean and the views was 10/10! Highly recommend this place!

Very peacefull hotel”
The hotel localization is awesome, the room view is wonderful. Food served there is good but a bit expansive. The breakfast is really good. The owner of the hotel is really nice and spent two hours biking with us in the valley telling us about the local lifestyle.

Friendly and Extremely Helpful”
A friend an I had a lovely long weekend at Mai Chau Valley View Hotel. Mr. Duong, the owner, planned some wonderful trips for us -- a hike in the local national park and a long hike that departed directly from the hotel. On the second hike, I lost my beloved sunglasses and he sent out a search party to look for them! We ate all our meals at the hotel -- since the menu was more or less the same as the other restaurants in the area, we enjoyed being "home" for our meals. Although the hotel is on the main road, the room was very quiet at night. The room was very light and had a nice view of the rice fields.

Awesome Stay”
This was an awesome stay, I would recommend to anyone. Staff were very helpful. We rented scooters for a couple dollars a day, and were able to check in early and check out about an hour late after our climbing. I would also recommend booking transport with them if travelling to and from Hanoi for example.

We agree with all previous great reviews on this hotel. Would have been even better if a comfortable chair was included in the room.

-Very friendly staff, including the owner Mr. Duong -Large clean room with a great view -Bicycle are free for guests, and motorbikes are available for rent. -Delicious a la carte breakfast included. There are not too many restaurants around, so I had dinner at the hotel as well, and it was decent. -Close to a couple ethnic villages (also where the homestays are) -My next stop was Moc Chau, but to get to where the buses go by, you have to drive about 10 minutes to the highway. Mr. Duong had one of his staff drive me and my luggage that way, and the driver even waited with me for the bus to arrive!

Amazing views and very hospitable staff”
Well, I can't say enough good things about this place. Mr. Duong, the owner, was so kind and helpful. He took us on a village tour via bicycle- was the most memorable experience during our northern Vietnam trip! What a fantastic experience in Mai Chau- much due to Mr. Duong and his sweet and kind staff! The rooms were nice and comfortable- the bed was awesome! Big and the perfect feel for us. Only 4 TV channels, but that's okay... You're in a retreat area anyhow! The food was wonderful- the best breakfast during our entire trip! The lunch was also fantastic- the papaya salad was so delicious, as we the other dishes we ordered. Highly recommend eating at the hotel, as the other local food we tried was not nearly as tasty. If you're planning a trip to Mai Chau then Mai Chau Valley View is THE place to stay!!!

Great simple tasty rooms with a great view!”
The owner is really nice, the 40 km biking trip he has drawn a map for is wonderful, scenic and not touristy at all. The free tour to the village is also worth it and off-the-beaten-track.

I did not expect to find of hotel in the valley on the internet.. the room was clean air conditioning. internet work well. Owner gave me a little history about the area that was interesting. Had a nice view of the valley from my deck. Breakfast was nice. Whatever appreciate its importance that kept the Sun out in the morning as I'm not a morning person. Definitely stay again if I'm in the area

wonderful service and location”
Duong the owner speaks good English, has trained his staff well and they will do all they can to help you have a wonderful trip. They have two rooms downstairs for people who have trouble with stairs like I do. You can also get them to call a golf.cart to take you on a tour of ethnic villages for about $12. This was the highlight of my trip. There is a shuttle bus that will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi old quarter and drop you in Mai Chau. They will return you to Hanoi also if you have the hotel book it for you. It is not connected to the hotel. Just don't make any plans for that night as the shuttle was over two hours late picking me up for the return to Hanoi which put us in all the Hanoi rush hour traffic.

Amazing experience at Mai Chau Valley View Hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay at Mai Chau Valley View Hotel. The staff is really friendly and offer great services, like a free bike ride through the rice fields and villages. The food is amazing and you can walk/cycle to the cave, shops and the rice fields.

Unforgettable part of our holiday”
Our stay here was one of the highlights of our whole trip. The hotel room was clean and spacious, the food was excellent, and Mr Duong the owner and manager could not have been more helpful. He took us on a bicycle tour of a local village, including a home visit, and arranged a guided trip to a nearby Hmong village and market. When we left, we were going to give the hotel 10 out of 10, but Mr Duong's efforts to send on our passports that we left in our room's safe (meaning that our holiday could proceed as planned), make us now think he deserves 11 out of 10. Thank you, Mr Duong. John & Jill

Very relaxing stay”
Mr Duong and his staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Mr Duong is a local and provided a lot of information about the area and it's people, as well as acting as a tour guide on a cycle to one of the local villages - all free of charge. However, the best thing about this hotel is undoubtedly the food! Everything we ate was delicious and some of the best I've eaten in Vietnam and I say this as someone who has lived there for 7 years. Highly recommended!
