Movenpick Resort Aswan
Nice room service food
Check in is not good. Representatives first gave us a two single bed instead of king bed which I booked. I accidentally left my tablet in the hotel when I checked out. My tour guide called the hotel and house keeping did found that. I’m glad I am able to get my tablet back.
big room and the hotel also provide free boat to the other side of river
The staff was welcoming. friendly and helpful. Check in was smooth, food and room service delicious and swift. The ferry ride always prompt.
Excellent location with beautiful views around.”
The resort sits on an island and one has to take a resort boat to and from the main street to reach the resort (which is cool).. Amazing views and good facilities at the hotel. Food isnt that great but service is good.
Very good isolated hotel ”
Need to take a ferry to city. Hotel services and staff are excellent
Excellente resort on a private island”
Everything was so fine in the movenpick. The room, wifi, shower, staff, breakfast, restaurant at the hotel...perfect on a private island far away from the chaos of the town.
Good hotel, nice staff, it is on an island but no problem getting off and on. Tour service there is good also. Check room 1st before you finish the check in, some view rooms have trees growing in front of them (??).
Nice resort on the Nile”
Resort was very nice. I enjoyed everything! Loved the Nubian Village surrounding the resort as well as Nubian people. Resort mentioned they did tours but was never able to talk to tour guide, luckily Nubian resident on boat directed us to someone or we wouldn't have seen the beauty of Aswan.
need to take a ferry to reach the hotel”
need to take a ferry to reach the hotel(although it operates 24 hours a day) the view is perfect, my room can see the garden across the river
Not good at all
Reasonable price for a standard comfortable stay”
Enjoyable stay , spectacular river views ”
Overall an Enjoyable stay ,the greatest asset is most of the Staff ,we stayed in a deluxe room which has great views of the gardens & the Nile very enjoyable for the rate we paid ,although some of the resort needed attention dirty ashtrays at the entrance & some minor maintenance issues door knobs & locks needed replacing at the main entrance of the Deluxe section of building, dirty glass door entrance . Half of the resort seemed to be on caretaker mode due to low season, the only accomodation worthy of the five star rating in my view would be the royal suites although over priced . Also some other observations made , we organized a airport pickup and the vehicle used was a bit dirty and when arrived at the resort we saw a newer vehicle that could have been used . When we arrived at the resort after the ferry we where shuttled to the main entrance In another dirty vehicle after checking in we noticed other guests being shuttled by a golf buggy which looked much more inviting . Be highly aware of pick pockets at local markets a young guy selling papyrus.
Great views of the Nile ”
Amazing views of the Nile and the city of Aswan from the restaurant, great rooms, perfect pool and overall good service from all staff throughout the hotel
Perfect location, beautiful Nile river view, great room and service
A nice stay before cruising the Nile”
I stayed just one night before starting my Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor. The hotel is located on an Island and I took a boat to get to the hotel. It was a short but nice stay and I had the view of Nile river from my room. It was beautiful and fantastic.
Beautiful location on an island in the Nile”
Great service by staff, very responsive if problems arise. Lots of shopping on site- gold shop, silver, clothing, tailer to make suits etc, and souvenirs. Of course cheaper in town, but no hassle and good quality ensured. Boat runs continuously and never have to wait even 10 minutes, though they say 15. Off season--summer time is great, as the hotel isn't filled with lots of people. Restaurant food was better than room service. Room service reasonable western prices.
Very pleasant stay ”
Let me begin to say that whoever made the project of the Movenpick tower should at least be jailed or electrocuted. Seriously! To give some guests a good view they destroyed the landscape of what I find to be the most stunning city in Egypt. Anyway, the hotel is a bit old and old style but the deal was amazing, breakfast good and a quiet lovely location. Service a bit basic. In room dining was delicious but I was appalled when my request for rosti was unmet. I mean, it's Movenpick! I received a free upgrade to duplex room that was nice!
