First Capsule Hotel Experience ”
This hotel is very clean. The staff is one of the BEST here as well. I had a great experience with their staff when she helped me talk to the phone about my reservation in skytree. Kudos to her! The capsule is very clean and quiet. As well the shower room and bathroom room. Everything is organized here. Cons: You need to get out by 10AM to 4PM for the cleaning time.
Fun and interesting experience”
Stayed one night to experience a capsule hotel. It was very clean and had a lot of nice amenities and things already provided such as PJS, a comb and other items. Great vending machines and close to a conbini. The bed was rather uncomfortable and it was very noisy trying to sleep but I am a light sleeper. I'm unsure if I'd go back to this specific location but definitely a must try! Lockers were able to fit my large suitcase with no problem!
Great place to stay for group or solo traveler”
This hotel is very nice with friendly staff. They can communicate in English, which was very helpful. I checked in very late and there are plenty of people at the front desk. First thing to do when you walk in a take off shoes and swap them for a pair of slippers inside the entrance lockers. Check in was very fast and simple. Lounge is located in the lobby area for mixed female/male. Male have a separate lounge in the B1 floor. I'm sure the female have a lounge or their own floor or so. Male stay on the 2nd floor (shower are on B1 floor for males) while female stay on 5th floor with shower on same floor. Place was clean and capsule is relatively large. Lockers have room for small luggage or bag, but front desk can hold your large luggage or you can leave them on top of your locker. I would go again if I need to stay overnight for one or two nights. Excellent experience overall.
Second time here, even better experience ”
This is my second time here because I had a pretty pleasant time staying here last time. This time I paid a little bit extra to get a room with TV. This little difference really helped much if you’re a noise-sensitive person. Since the TV rooms are located in another floor and have bigger public space( and shower boxes) and usually less people, so it’s actually spending a little bit more to win back much more space and quietness. I couldn’t be more happy with my staying here this time and I strongly recommend this capsule hotel to anyone who likes cleanness and sharing-spirit.
Hostel near Tokyo station”
Around 18mins walk to Tokyo station with suitcases. The room was really crowded with suitcases and everyone was packing inside and outside the room, I guess because everyone is departing via Tokyo station and have a last min packing. And people get up really early for their flight so if take note of this if it concerns you. Breakfast is one piece of bread and a cuppa coffee, self-served. Since we don’t drink coffee we skipped the whole thing.
Ultra clean, organized and extremely nice staff. Highly recommended for a capsule hotel.
The place was nice and clean”
They have quite complete amenities from soap, shampoo, conditioner to lotion, toothpaste, comb, earplugs. They even provide PJs. However, they ask everyone to stay outside between 10 to 16 bcs they have to clean up everything.
The location is walking distance to the Metro station. I like how clean the place was. However I feel warm during my stay and the aircon cannot be adjusted since it’s centralised . Overall it’s a wonderful experienced staying in a capsule hotel.
Great, affordable capsule hotel in Tokyo”
I stayed at the Nihonbashi Muromachi Bay Hotel for a total of 4 nights and was not disappointed. The hotel was clean, well-organised, and had everything you need for a pleasant stay. Location is good (10-15min walk from Tokyo Station), but there isn't much around the hotel other than a conbini and a Starbucks. Though I had no issues, I wouldn't recommend staying for more than a couple of nights as having to check in/out every single day (as well as hand in your key every time you leave) can be a bit tedious. The capsule itself was sufficient for a few nights' sleep (but quite warm, despite the fact that I was there in the middle of winter). I was fortunate there were no loud snorers around me, but don't expect to sleep much past 7-8am as people's alarms will start going off one by one from about 6:30. I speak Japanese so had no problem communicating with staff, but there were some English-speaking staff, too. Overall, great hotel. Will definitely be back!
Very clean, efficient and comfortable. The constant reminders to be considerate to others and blinds on the capsule doors provided adequate privacy for a good night's rest. Lockers are not big enough for luggage so be prepared to have to store your luggage by the side but its not a big issue. Would come back again if even the chance.
I always like trying the capsule hotels in Japan, and these days, they don't really seem that "capsule" anymore, with the comfortable beds and amenities. The hotel is fairly new, very clean, and has great service. I went early, before the supposed check in time, and while waiting at the lobby, the staff even offered me some bread. Location-wise, it is a bit far from Tokyo Station but walkable. Otherwise, you can take the subway from Shin-Nihonbashi station. The area seems pretty posh too. Would love to stay here again if I am in the area! (Oh yeah, they provide a welcome kit with a sleeping gown, towels and stuff for you to use while staying.)
Great Business Class Standard Capsule Hotel”
Nihonbashi Muromachi Bay Hotel is not any capsule hotel. It is more a capsule business class hotel. Getting there is easy from Mitsukoshimae exit. It is opposite the Mandarin Oriental outdoor cafe. Walk up the street, past the shrine and you can see the hotel. Provides daily individually wrapped brush-comb, toothbrush, body wash cloth and towel (non-wrapped). It surrounds Corredor 1, 2 and 3, food haven malls. Don't forget Yanaka Coffee house (roast to order beans) nearby. Family Mart convenience shop is diagonally opposite. Opposite is chain sandwich/coffee house Doutor. Individual private shower cubicles; not common baths! Has two nice lounge area with power charging (2 USB points). Vending food machines on-site. Bfast (2 pcs breads) and coffee provided.
Its clean and good location, near from Tokyo Station just take Sòbu line and stop at Shin-Nihombashi (1 station only from Tokyo) then find exit No.5, walking for 1-2minutes until find Nihombashi Life Science building turn right and you will see the hotel on the left. There are Starbucks and lawson too next to the hotel :)
Great facilities, friendly and helpful staff, fun experience!”
My wife and I had a great stay here (albeit on separate floors). The staff was great and accommodating, the facilities were modern, super clean, and had a great wrist key system. Some things to be aware of that are a bit inconvenient: - You and your things need to be out of your capsule between I think 10a-4p during the day for cleaning, so no midday naps and you have to keep bringing things out and locking them up. - There's no good place for you to deal with your bags and packing etc. We were here on the last day of our trip and had to just lay everything out in the lounge to repack our bags for travel. Luckily the lounge wasn't very busy at the time. - Since the locker you get is a little small, if you're staying for a few days and have traveled with a carry-on or bigger bag, you may have to check your bag at the front desk and will need to keep going back to it to swap clothes etc. Otherwise we really did enjoy our stay and would recommend it as long as you know what to expect!
Not worth the effort”
Capsules are nice, clean and comfortable but this place has ridiculously convoluted rules (e.g. no eating, shoes off in entire building) that take the gloss off staying here. Check-in isn't until 4pm and, worst of all, they tell you to vacate the premises from 10am until 4 each day which is unlike any hotel, hostel or capsule/cabin place I've ever stayed. Yawn.
I love 'female only' facilities in Japan so much. So comfy. So clean. They provided skin milk and skin lotion other than just the body soap-shampoo-conditioner combo. The bed was spacious and i didn't feel crammed at all. Staff were polite and smiley. Lockers were a little tight, my backpack could fit if i shoved and crammed it, if they could just be 10cm wider it would have been nice. But most people placed their bags/suitcase near their beds so no problem
I felt offended and the attitude of the clerks are awful. One of the advantage of the hotel is location, closed to the metro. I know someone thought the hostel is quite nice and the clerk is kind. I don't disagree. But few of the clerk who I contacted are very rude and inpatient to listen to me while i got some problems. Maybe the nationality. Feel frustrated. for this time staying but overall is okay if you just cares about sleeps.
Four night stay”
Facilities great and staff very helpful. Private showers and the capsules were very private. Only minor point lockers a little small. Anything larger than carry on is a little difficult. Location has good shops near by, safe all hours of night. Plenty of subway and train options. Kanda closets JR station. 8 min walk.
Very nice good service and so clean
Very clean and great service
