Paradise Beach Resort
Good overall ”
It’s your typical all inclusive resort so if that is your kind of thing then go for it. We booked a room for 3 days. I do wish they offered us an upgrade for the all inclusive package considering the price you pay per person at the buffet Resturant is an absolute rip off. We swam at the sister hotels pool as we felt it was less crowded and cleaner. Take the complimentary little shuttle to the beach and if you want a message do it there on the beach it’s cheaper then the hotels.
Fun days :)”
Lovely, friendly, efficient hotel and staff. Rooms were delightful and clean, the all inclusive buffet exactly what we wanted. The hotel boutique could be promoted more by reception upon arrival, we got all we were looking for, variety is good and it is not too expensive. Dinner could be a tad earlier? We aren’t used to eating and sleeping on full tummies. Your resort was a happy and fun place to relax, although not too loud, exactly what we needed to start the holiday.
Great little place to relax”
The only thing I did not like is you are not within walking distance to anything. Also they have a second beach that you can go too but it’s not included in the all inclusive deal. Food was just ok more local food would have been a nice touch.
Not a beach resort”
There is no beach to swim at this resort. The pool is full of chlorine and the resort some honeymoon destination for Polish holiday makers. Buffet restaurant is average at best.
Good everything about this place. The water level goes down and it suddenly starts looking less beautiful! Rest is fine.. you can have a great time here.
No beach for just relaxing.”
It is not close to anything so a taxi is needed wherever you go. Acccess to the rooms are stairs only. When I booked it I requested a room with no stairs due to physical problems. I was told there were no stairs. Make sure you take a hairdryer as none are available. The beach was no beach. We were shuttled to a different beach the hotel offered free but there was no beach there too. The internet is just about impossible as it is rarely working. I asked other people and they were having the same problem. The staff was amazing. Always very helpful.
I will not return or recommend my friends and family to come here because I did not feel the quality matched the price at all. The breakfast and lunch/dinner did not impress, it was obvious that the hotel tried to maximize their profit by offering cheap products to a high price. Furthermore, the beach is very small, you can't really walk anywhere so you end up feeling like an animal trapped in a golden cage. Additionally, if you want to take a taxi the hotel offers you to sort it for you, but charges a very high price to maximize their own profit. For example we paid 70 dollars to go back and forth to Stown Town, but later found out that a local taxi driver only charges 40 dollar for the same trip. All in all; not a good price-performance ratio and not a good location. Would advice you to instead book a hotel near Kendwa (very nice long beach) or anywhere between Pingwe and Paje, that also has a nice long beach and good places to stay.
Best hotel for your vacation me and my husband enjoyed. All the waiters were lovely people would love to come back .
Very Good Stay!”
Wonderful staff who understand the need for excellent service.
Definitely Going Back!!!”
The staff at Paradise Beach Resort are amazing and went out of their way to make our stay memorable!
Wi-Fi needs to be improved”
Friendly and very welcoming staff. Signed up for Breakfast only which was great. The Wi-Fi was terrible. Needs to be improved. Wi-Fi was usually available at the dining area but terrible in the rooms.
The stay was amazing! We decided to go with the all exclusive option. It had the best scenery and a calm beach. Definitely value for money.
Staff was very nice, value good and they offered a great service - exceptionally helpful, positive, always something going on, but never too much. Hakuna matata!
the name of the resort is reflecting the reality.”
Paradise beach resort in Zanzibar Uroa”
everything was good. We stayed at this hotel during 2 weeks in the August 2015. The beach is the nearest. There were free beach umbrellas, beds and towels. White sand! Good swimming pool. Very good and variety food for dinner. Every day was different kind of food, suahili dinner with local food once a week. Pancakes and omlets for breakfast ( teens were happy). A lot of local fruits. Three times a week were evening show: acrobats, local dancing. The hotel has good territory: palms, flowers, greens. The monkey lives on the territory and you can play with it. The rooms were cleaned every day. The rooms are in suahili local style, every room with ocean view. It was a strange: we have booked through AGODA 2 rooms - standard and luxury - but the standard room was more better than luxury. With luxury room number 39 was a great problem: every day in the second part of the day became terrible smell and this smell lasts till morning, then was cleaning, 2-3 hours of good air and again terrible smell. The smell was under the matras, may be from canalizations ( it was near this bungalow). And it was a luxury room! Don't book the room 39! During the day you can play volleyball, table tennis, billiard, there was an animator. There were a lot of interesting places in Zanzibar and we visited them: stone town, garden of spices, jozany forest, swimming with dolfins, island prison, slavecaves, and visit local village Matemwe ( we buy excursions through Colours of Zanzibar). Excursions were great! So we have glad of our rest in this hotel.
Paradise in Zanzibar!”
Location is beautiful. The resort is really nice. The owner very friendly and welcoming! Local staff very pleasant, warm, wonderful service. The fittings are way below standard, small things like water bottles for guests, shampoos, towels etc overlooked. The Food standards need to be upgraded to match the standards of the resort. The foreign receptionist needs to learn how to smile and be more friendly! Definitely worthy of a a return. Just need to tick the i's and t's and its worthy of it's name - PARADISE BEACH RESORT!
Wonderful beach resort”
Really enjoyed every moment.
No Paradise at "Paradise Beach Resort Substitute"”
Firstly we were very disappointed to find out at the last minute that we would not be staying at Paradise Beach Resort which we had booked and paid for. Instead we were told that Paradise Beach Resort had burnt down and we would be staying at their sister resort, Beach and Reef Resort. No one had bothered to tell us this info before leaving for Zanzibar. We therefore stayed at a resort that we didn't book, we paid money for a superior resort but instead stayed at an inferior resort. We were promised airport transfers to the substitute resort on our arrival, this we never got and I had to pay 50 USD to get us to the resort after paying 110 USD for an unplanned one night's stay in a Stone Town hotel because our transfer to the resort never arrived. We eventually got to the Beach and Reef Resort with very little assistance from Nadia Follis the Reservation Manager for the resort. We asked that we be given free dinner for our stay as compensation for us not being booked at our original superior resort that we had paid for, this was never granted. To sum this up we never got to see Paradise Beach Resort. The scenery and staff at Beach and Reef Resort were very good though. But the management of the company has a long way to go....
Paradise beach was OK and you can't beat the price if you get the $50 special, and kids eat free with an adult paying. However, food was not that good and if you want anything but the buffet, be prepared to wait. Staff was very friendly and gave us a day room after checkout because we had a late flight.
Had such a relaxing, great time! Loved the staff!”
We loved our stay at the Paradise Beach Resort. It really was a second honeymoon for us on a lower budget. Had a relaxing time and enjoyed the activities performed each night at the hotel and the proximity to quiet beaches and also short distance from stone town.
