Nice place but more clarity needed ”
I stayed here previously and said that I wanted a room facing the ocean like I had last time. The staff suggested that I book through Agoda as it is a better price. After having checked which room I stayed in previously, they advised me to book a delux room. I did this and was not given a direct ocean facing room as this is now super delux. They could have mentioned this when I was booking. Otherwise the stay was fine. Good location away from the noise.

Very old-fashioned, really needs refurnishing and better management. The cleanliness was awful. The towels, bed-linen to stinky bathrooms. Receptionist overloaded all the time and no able to keep after everything, so long waiting by check in/out.

Unwilling of reception team to at least check if later check out (means 1 hour) later is possible. When we asked them they straight shouted no. In most of the hotel you pay extra, here they did not even try. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay.

      Good place”
Pros The resort is isolated from the city so it's quiet and relaxing, good for families and couples. Private beach. The room is clean, wonderful view. Good value for money. Cons The staff didn't tell us anything about the place, that we can walk to the city or that they provide a taxi boat service, so they weren't very nice.

      A nice compromise”
This hotel is a decent compromise inbetween the backpackers jungle of downtown Tonsai and the remote high end establishments. The room was ver clean, with a great balcony and a very appreciated mosquito screen. The matress was hard, the fan and a/c working fine. Bathroom was quite basic but featured a large and clean shower. The dowsides to the place are *the public areas (especially the reception and the bar the beach) which do look like a Pakistani provincal docking bus station. Dirty, untidy, full of stray cats and barely accessible *the constant "ballet" of longtail boats which cruise around the bay during the day and cause so much noise you sometimes have the feeling that you're staying at some Motel6 by the highway.

Very disappointed for my room not to be available for 30+ hours after arrival”
The resort over sold all rooms for 20 + couples during the period I was there. We had to wait 30+ hours before we could get our room. We even checked our room was available a few days before our arrival. They wouldn't give us a refund while we were there and everyone had to find alternative accommodation. One couple on their honeymoon ended up in a backpackers. Obviously the the reviews are being vetted because I dont see reviews from the other guests who already told me they left a bad review. They were fraudulently advertising and selling rooms they simply didn't have and stealing when they wouldn't refund our payments. They were even offering huge discounts off the standard price when our rooms were already over booked. I just want to let people know of the potential risk of booking this hotel.

Sould not be your first choice.”
If you have not served in a military ,this place is not for you. Kabins are up on a hill. Every trip to your room will kill you.15 min walk to the center . Choose a hotel in the center . This one is off to the side .

Great hotel but far from the town”
Pros: 1. Good comfortable well equipped rooms with sea views. 2. Beautiful hotel property with high view points to capture some lovely photos. 3. Access to a couple of almost exclusive clean beaches. Cons: 1. To reach the hotel, be prepared to board a Longtail boat from the Tonsai Pier to the hotel beach, which involves getting wet and taking a partial dip in the sea. Hence, travel light and dress up accordingly. This longtail boat departs every hour from the hotel and it's timings are mentioned at the Lobby. 2. The town centre/pier can also be accessed by walking 2 mins on the beach and then 15 mins on the road, which could get difficult when it's dark or if you're drunk/tired. 3. The hotel rooms are situated on a steep hill accessible by a free hotel taxi which plies from 7am to 11pm only. It's a steep hike to the rooms & back if you go by foot. I would recommend staying at Bayview as it's closer and in rooms numbers 1xx as these have direct sea views.

Good location away from the mess”
Open air check-in lobby is old and not representative of the hillside bungalows, which offer great views and small beaches below. Staff is competent enough. Breakfast buffet only mediocre. Better breakfast in town just 15 min walk away. People with walking disabilities should not stay here (or be on Phi Phi Island at all for that matter)

      Awesome view from balcony!”
Such a waste that we only stayed here for one night as we were given a room that was strategically placed with awesome breathtaking views! Will definitely come back though not sure if we will be given the same room as other rooms will definitely have different views from the balcony. Need to walk for about 10-15 mins for food. Nice resort for couples.

Beautiful setting with stunning view, quiet.”
It's an older style place but bungalows have charm. Actually better known now as the Bayview Resort. I think Ayaburi might apply to the older area further out. Steep climbs, yes, but there is a local shuttle on demand from 7am to 11pm. 15 minutes walk to town centre does require a 200 metre stretch along sand beach from resort check in to tiled path into town, so not for the disabled. Longtail boat only runs on demand with minimum of 6 passengers, but does meet all ferry arrivals and departures with baggage transfers for free. Getting in/out longboat after wading in a few metres from sand beach does require a little agility, but porters will assist and carry baggage so it does stay dry. A little different to the usual. Breakfast on terrace is average as is bbq dinner on beach. Highly recommended but not for those who only stay at Hilton, Marriott etc. Nick Sydney
