Perfect resort to relax and sleep in peace. Excellent service and reasonable price. Free Shuttle takes guests to the city, so location is perfect!

Exceptional”
The resort is magic, the sprawling grounds beautifully landscaped with ponds and gurgling creeks as well as lots of little hidden gazebos to look out over the grounds and adjoining fields, relax, read a book or watch the sunset between 2 mountains on the other side of the Mekong. The mattress is like a cloud, you may not want to get out of bed. And the food is delicious, served by very friendly and competent staff. When you turn right at the resort entry, you leave the village after about a 5 minute walk and enter ‘rural’ Laos. Go for a walk up the hill and enjoy the scenery.

Nice view and peaceful at this resort”
Breakfast has good food. They have local noodles, bread, pancake etc. After breakfast you can walk around the resort. Very beautiful lotus pond with mountain and field view as a background. A peaceful place. You can go in town by free shuttle bus.

Beautiful Grounds”
The resort is well laid out, with beautiful grounds. The pool was refreshing with a manned bar. The only downfall was the older wooden pool surround so Waite you wear flip flops to the pool. Staff were very professional. The property is a bit out of town but the hotel has a shuttle that runs to Luang Prabang. We would recommend this hotel.

아쉬운점이많은 리조트”
I liked the facility of this resort very much but the service level was deeply unsatisfying. - asked for mandatory dinner gala joining fee of 75 usd per person - dinner: buffet style. doesn't worth price (cost of expense if low in Laos). - staff came to our room pass midnight, asked for the cocktail charge from dinner (couldn't understand. paid 75 for dinner and still need to pay for drinks? - it wasn't informed when i ordered the drinks) - told staff we'll pay at checkout, staff refused and asked for immediate cash payment - check-out: asked for taxi, a truck (tuktuk) came. asked for taxi again. - mini van came. staff A said it was a free shuttle, other guests (6 people) hopped on, staff B (a lady at counter) asked for the taxi fee. couldn't understand. other guests were already on it, and she asked us to pay for the free shuttle as if it was a taxi we called :( All in all, my parents said it was the worst stay we had in Laos (we stayed in 3 hotels in 3 cities)

Great location, incredible garden and superb view on the mountains. The food and the service are just perfect. Beauty peace and quietness are the first things that come in mind when I think about this unforgettable experience.

An exquisit escape!”
Santi as an amazing resort! I live in Luang Prabang but sometimes you need a break! Drinking cocktails poolside by Santi before a massage might be one of my favorite things. The restaurant is also very good. A lovely, quiet property. A true escape with ultimate relaxation.

Relaxing Getaway”
Nestled in an idyllic rural setting this gem of a resort is your perfect getaway...almost. It is about 15 mins from Luang Prabang town center and can be shuttled almost hourly by hotel tramp. The landscaping is very well done and great for that family or corporate retreat with plenty of activity space. The breakfast is adequate but the rooms are a bit run-down and lacks maintenance. We had to change our room due to noisy aircon and broken door lock...only to find a faulty electric flask and hairdryer! Response by service staff is also a bit slow. However, the ambience makes up for it. It was so relaxing, I did not surf the internet(intermittent wifi) or watched any TV during my 5-night stay-most unusual. So if you like to enjoy the city sights and would prefer to wake up to the rooster's crow, this is the place. Khob Chai Luang Prabang.

better than Villa Santi”
We stayed at both properties for 2 nights each and were underwhelmed with Villa Santi. The Resort had a much better vibe and atmosphere but the service was just average at best. The Tennis court looked like something out of the Secret Garden movie and was overgrown with plants. Nice grounds and flowers but not worth the money. Definitely going to Bali instead next time for twice the value at half the price.

Great hotel, wonderful place to relax, shame about the New Year's Eve Gala Buffet”
We had a really wonderful stay, the hotel is beautiful and in lovely surrounds - really the perfect place to relax and wind down. The staff were lovely and friendly, and we used the free shuttle bus to get into town, so never felt stuck although we were quite far from the centre of Luang Prabang. The only negative thing was the very expensive New Years Eve Buffet, which was mandatory if you stayed at the hotel on New Year's Eve (I couldn't book the room without paying for the Gala). At GBP 50 per person we were expecting something special, but in the end it was very average. The food was quite nice, but not worth fifty pounds and my friends and I ended up back in our rooms well before midnight. Any other time of year, the stay would have been great value and I would have had nothing but positive comments!

So much potential, let down by poor management n staff”
This hotel is not even able to ensure airport pickup is despatched. Enuff said. Its a lovely property but needs managing and it also needs to train its staff re the basics of hospitality. Its a shame really.

Every staff st Villa Santi Resort & Spar were perfect”
Our taxi took us to Villa Santi in town instead of the Resort & Spar. The receptionist at the front desk informed us that we have reservation at the Spar , he told us there is room available at this location, but we prefer the Resort & Spar location. The receptionist was not helpful , we have to get tuktuk ourselves to our destination.. He should have offered us free shuttle that goes to and from the two hotels.

Imprisonment”
If this were billed as a yoga/ health retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of life.... it would tick all the boxs and get a 4 star rating.... but it's not. On booking in, we were left standing staring at the concierge. ( no seating available... no welcome drink as is customary in SEAsia) afterawhile, I asked what was happening, only to find the room was not ready. They hadn't pushed the twin beds together to make a king.... right... king bed linen doesn't fit pushed together beds, and we spent three nights fighting over sheets Anywhere that advertises shuttle services... avoid.... the closest off premise restaurant was 15 minutes away. And the minbar came with no snacks.... 7/11 was also 15 minutes away. The restaurant food selection was so restricted that my wife survived on potatoe gratin.... which invariably disappeared while my entree was still on the table, meaning I generally ate my main meal alone.... and not once were we asked why at least 50% of our meals were returned... not once The room features are old and run down, but the toilet does flush, if you hold the button long enough On arriving, I asked for a DVD player, being a regular traveler, and knowing tv entertainment might be light on, but they had none... I was, however, proudly informed that they had satellite tv.... lol... one channel playing old English speaking movies... thank god for Samuel l Jackson.... although by the third time even he was starting to wear thin. There is no tour desk..... internet info is scketchy on tours ( they say they are all great... but they lie).... my recommendation would be to go to the ferry area, and do any tours by boat, as the roads are all nasty, and just lead back to the river anyway... unless you want to ride an elephant, or see the whiskey snake shop (remember, elephants are essentially wild animals and regularly kill tourists, and snakes in whisky bottles are... well... snakes in whiskey bottles, which will make you blind if you d
