Sheraton Grand Pune Bund Garden Hotel

Excellent place to stay. From Hospitality to Customer Service to attention to detail is phenomenal. Sheraton made our stay memorable.

I visited Pune to meet a friend and stayed here for 1 night only. The best part of the hotel - it is bang opposite Pune railway station hence didn’t need to travel a long distance.. kudos to the strategic location! The lobby is warm and welcoming with chandelier and nice peacock paintings which set a warm and welcome tone. I am told the hotel is refurbished and has been done to make it more contemporary and add to the newness factor. The lobby has a small cafe ( can’t recall the name) which serves quick tea coffee sandwiches etc.. the lady - Elizabeth - if I recall was a very warm and sweet lady who helped in quick check in’s since the front desk was attending to some other customers. She was amongst the oldest staff at stage hotel. Pleasant , soft spoken and professional who knew that hotel and service industry is all about managing people and expectations! Pleased to meet a lady like you madam:) The hotel also has a salon, a bar and a book shop which added to the facilities the hotel offered. There was some corporate event so couldn’t see the ballroom but am assuming a mid sized MICE event can be conducted smoothly. The 24 hour coffee shop served buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. 1 thing to note — the hotel also offers spa. Seems from Monday - Friday from 10:00AM- 03:00PM they offer 50% discount. I did he spa and found the services between average - good. Guess spa services everywhere are the same. The steam was getting a bit stuffy and claustrophobic beyond a point. Had dinner at the rooftop restaurant- Indian - can’t remember the name. The ambiance and dimly lit place made a perfect time to enjoy. The floor has a pool also which was of course closed. It was pleasant with cool breeze making the experience even more memorable. No high walls and paintings but dimly lit lanterns with cross ventilation made the experience pleasant. Very warm, friendly and courteous staff, excellent service and prompt response. The best property I have stayed in so far in Pune.

From the moment we arrived, we knew this was the right place by the warm welcome we received. Staff at the Reception including Seema, Kunal and others were super-efficient allocating us our room on the top floor as requested and ensuring our luggage was swiftly whisked away. The hotel has a sophisticated and yet relaxed ambience with a grand main entrance hall, it could so easily have been one of those glamorous forties-style hotels with its marble floors and lavish chandeliers. The rooms have all the amenities you could wish for from satellite tv to walk-in style showers. However, the highlight of the hotel has to be the food from any of its three restaurants and the staff who serve it - from the waiting staff - Aishwarya, Supriya, Snehal, Rasika, Swapnil, Dutta, Shrikant and the Manager Maruti to the friendly chefs Abhimanyu and Simone who made food a wonderful experience! nothing was too much trouble for them. Finally, would we go back? the answer has to be - most certainly Yes!

Stayed for 1 night while I was in Pune for some work. The hotel has an amazing location, quiet rooms with very comfortable beds and pillows. The linen looked as good as new! I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast and the spread was lavish. I must confess, for a frequent traveller to Pune, this will be my place of stay in future, absolutely loved the experience!

The property is fantastic. Great location, excellent value for money. The staff is cooperative with ample facilities. The breakfast is marvellous. Some problem with house keeping. In all the stay was memorable.

The front office blocked INR 5000 from the credit card, informed me they will release during check out, but till now didn't get the amount in my account. Called several times (every time same answer, already released from our account and will take 1 week to reach my account) its been more than a week and till now nothing came to account. Hope they will release the payment to my account soon.

During my busy-business stay in Pune, quiet room really refreshed me. Food was good. Staffs quality was high.

The location a quite average the view from my room was railway station n food was below average n rooms are quite old but clean . Not much to write abt this hotel.

5 days comfort and resting in a good manner in Le Meridien Hotel

Not so great. For Le Meridien brand, the staff should be more culturally sensitive when handling overseas guests. Restaurant staff do not understand English well. There is a car mix up when the car arrangement staff gave the appointed car to a WHITE senior gentleman (whom did not book any hotel car) instead of to my Indian friend who has actually booked the hotel car. When my friend checked with the reception at the hotel counter, the staff replied because the other person is WHITE. SO racist. I was the witness. Oh my, what a hotel staff behavior!!!!
