The staffs are so friendly, polite and helpful the place is clean, room is big and beautiful but a bit noisy from the car because it's really next to the road but didnt disturb us so much...location is good if u have a car otherwise u have to call the taxi to go to the city. In general is great...u get more than u pay!

It was what I was lead to expect from previous reviews. It's located a short journey south of Chiang Mai so away from the hustle. Rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Don't expect them to speak English except for Anne, the manager who is on site between 9am and 5pm. Altogether I found the place charming with a rustic, authentic feel which was what I was looking for. The menu is basic but adequate. The only downside is that the gate is shut at 8pm each evening. If you arrive from a day out after this you must call the mobile phone of the resident chap who is also the cook and he will open it for you. No phone? No problem, lean on your car's horn. Don't know why they can't just leave the gate open for a couple of hours longer.

Great stay!
Thai breakfast was amazing. Service was very good (very attentive). Rooms were comfortable and had a lot of space.
Stay was great - only advice is that drivers could have trouble finding the hotel. Keep the phone number with you, or if possible, just hire the same driver to bring you to and from the hotel. Otherwise, staff was very attentive and we had a very pleasant stay.

Do not stay here!
My wife and I booked for 2 nights, we left first thing in the morning after our first. The bed was hard. Nobody else in hotel at all. The pool was dirty. Although the pictures of the pool look nice, it's actually at the front of the hotel besides a main road. There is nothing else around. The town is a 10 minute drive away. There is not even a shop within walking distance. The river close by is disgusting. The "American breakfast" which my wife had was 2 slices of soggy toast, a fried egg and a lonely, anaemic looking hot dog. There is no communal area for socialising. On arrival at approx 8 pm, we were shown to out room and told " good night". It felt like a prison cell. At the airport, when we told the drivers the name of our hotel, they all laughed. Our driver then explained that it was because the hotel was not good and in the middle of nowhere. I'm afraid I have nothing positive to say about this hotel, and I've never written a bad review about anything in my life. Do you get the picture yet?

cosy get away
the shower, the staff, room size
We found the Sri Ping Resort to be very nice. The rooms were very spacious. When you first enter the room you arrive in a nice little seating area. The bathroom is off to the left and the bedroom to the right. The decor was so cute. The shower was like a waterfall. The food was pretty good, not the best Thai food, but decent. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool wasn't very clean, so we didn't go swimming. It is pretty far away from the city. I think we paid around 250 baht to go to one of the malls- one way by taxi. The hotel has their own taxi driver. He was also very friendly and spoke English okay.

It is good for Hideaway from city feeling
Natural, Quiet and good breakfast
An attractive resort with real Thai's way of life. The food are nice, all the staff are very friendly. it has only 9 rooms to offer, but you will get a good feel of Chiang Mai. Really enjoy staying here even a bit far from everything.

It was a two night stop over that met our needs
Very attentative and friendly manager. could not do enough for us. a nice pool and the food there was fine
The Sri Ping is not as described. its situated next to a busy road and the countryside and waterfalls that is advertises are not in the grounds or immediate reach of the hotel. its a small location. BUT, the manager there will sort anything out for you. provided free bikes for us to cycle to see the local countryside. nothing was too much trouble. i would not suggest staying there for a week as you cannot simply walk outside to get a meal. swim and relax for sure.

Very attentive staff, bed and breakfast feel
Attentive and friendly staff, rustic country side feel, good value
This hotel had a country side bed and breakfast feel. The atmosphere was charming and quiet and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They were accommodating to our vegetarian diet and even went to the store to buy us mosquito repellent. The biggest downside to the hotel was that it was farther away from the city center than we expected. It was about a 15-20 minute drive into town depending on traffic - catching a cab requires a reservation in advance since taxis and tuk-tuks do not pass by regularly. If you have your own transportation and are looking for a quiet place to stay the location isn't that bad. If you want to be close to the city, look somewhere else.
