Location: 10/10 A very good location is you’re planning to visit Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Pyramid Mall, the hotel is directly linked to both and you only need to walk around 1 to 2 minutes. However, expect some traffic jams when you trying to get to this hotel from the airport or other areas Environment: 9/10 Upon entrance to the hotel, the lobby smells nice and this is obviously a luxury hotel, everything feels expensive and well decorated. From this hotel, you can have some glances of the Sunway Lagoon park. The provided fruit punch in the waiting area. Minus 1 point because it was quite challenging to find bins to throw your rubbish away, therefore, I saw some people leaving their tissues in the waiting area. Room: 8/10 We had the King Deluxe Room, the room is clean and quite spacious, it is also very luxurious, my son really likes the ambience of the room. However, we could heard some sounds from the elevator area and probably nearby rooms, we would also like to apologize if other rooms could hear us as our son did throw some tantrums during our stay. Our room didnt have any view, when I opened the curtain, we were greeted by view of trees and bushes. Breakfast: 7/10 The queue for the breakfast is quite long, and the queue is mixed up with the people queueing to use the elevator. However, we appreciate the drinks offered while waiting. I could imagine the setting and view of the restaurant to be very beautiful if not so crowded, it’s luxurious and romantic, very classy! The food option is okay, but the taste is not so special. Just an “okay” experience for the breakfast. Customer Service: 4/10 This is the part I couldn’t justify because the customer service here is not up to standard, especially for a luxurious resort like this. The receptionist who checked us in tried to be as professional as he could, but wasn’t welcoming, this is such a huge contrast to another hotel we stayed at in Bukit Bintang area. After checking in, we were not explained about the benefits (like free breakfast, access to Wonderland Explorer, etc), and we were not explained on the check-out time etc, this should’ve been a standard for a 5 stars hotel. The wait for check-out is also very slow, and again, the rest of the staffs do not feel welcoming. Worth for money: 8/10 Although I’m disappointed about the customer service, but I do recommend this place if you’re staying at Sunway area since although it can be pricey to some, the location is very strategic, the ambience and room are very luxurious, and this place is very kids friendly (which makes me more disappointed as this hotel does not have excellent customer service). For the price you pay, you have access to Wonderland Explorer which is a small playground for your kids, and kids pool (I didnt get to use this but probably next time?), and your kids can take their own food during breakfast as they have kids section in the restaurant. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel, but I’m also hoping they would improve their customer service.
