Great nice tropical resort feel”
quiet, nice beach, good service
We stayed at this resort for just a night - transit from airport to Gili Island. So we just had the morning to enjoy the beach and the resort. Staff service was great. We arrived at 1am and there were people attending to our check-in and it was super fast. Breakfast was a nice set unlike the normal continental breakfast you get from most resort/hotels. And it was served next to the beach on the garden area. The beach is very clean, private and nice. No dead corals like the beaches in Gili so it's easy on the feet. Although the resort is near the town centre, you need a car to get around.

Stylish room within earshot of the sea”
Rocky cove location, comfortable beds, good breakfast
I really liked the Alang Alang beach resort. The best thing about it is that all the bungalows are very close to the sea, to the point where you can hear the sea as you lie in bed. The rooms are stylish and comfortable. The bathroom is partly exposed to the elements, which is interesting and the bed was comfortable with a mosquito net as a welcome touch. The food in the restaurant was fairly good, breakfast is a set option rather than a buffet but of high quality. The hotel is beside a rocky cove rather than a beach as such and the hotel is a fair way from the centre of Senggigi, which could be a problem for a long stay but it's ideal for a one night stopover between the airport and the Gili islands.

Excellent stay and very friendly personel”
room space and cleanliness, very friendly atmosphere, hotel location at beach front
A very cozy hotel at the beach front just 4 Klm away from Senggigi.. Hotel rooms spacious and very interesting partly spacious open air bathroom...I really enjoy it:):).. Hotel personel very helpfull and friendly making me feel like at home..Rooms spacious and very clean! From time to time were some ants..but it is very normal in these tripical climates... Breakfast was delicious dispide short a la carte selection... (I have to admit that my stay was in low season though). Indonesian cuisine served was delicious...european plates though was not the best taste. The hotel had excelent view..enjoying the sunset everyday!!! although the beach was not the best for swimming I strongly reccomend this hotel for quite and peacefull relaxation!!

Very nice stay”
ocean front Villa, great staff at the frount counter and large rooms
At first appearance the hotel looks a little run down, but this is not the case in the rooms. The bedrooms are large and the bathroom in our villa was indoor out door. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak very good English. The hotel is 10 minutes out of town, which is only a $2 dollar taxi ride including tip. Senggigi has some very good restaurants and cafes. The Alang Alang is well located and very relaxing, I would recommend it for a very pleasant stay.

Calm and peaceful with views of Bali”
Friendly staff, lovely pool, easy access to beach
We loved Alang Alang- the beautiful garden complete with fountain and lovely pool; artistic bungalows with outdoor bathrooms and good food. The views across to Bali and Mt Agung were superb, especially at sunset. Mangsit beach provided a quiet walk with some surf and friendly locals.to chat with. We would stay there again anytime!

Enjoyed our three nights at Alang Alang Beach resort. The swimming pool was very clean and we spent a lot of time cooling off. Staff were very friendly and attentive. They were a real attribute to the Resort. We had a beach view room which was very impressive. Easy and fast check in. The front desk arranged taxis for us to try different restaurants.

Fantastic hotel on a beatiful clean beach”
quiet place, clean beach, good for swimming (not only diving), nice and smiling staff, cosy rooms
Firstly we booked this hotel for 4 nights but because of the amazing location, we extended on 7. If you're looking for a quiet place, this is the place you have to go to. There is an excellent clean beach, beautiful quiet ambience in a tropical garden, many bungalows have sea view, which we had also and we couldn't be happier. Staff is always very nice, smiling and helpful, we recommend the main bartender who helped us with arranging a trip for a very reasonable price. Food in the restaurant is very tasty, for breakfast you have many choices from the classical continental to the indonesian one. We were very satisfied with the service. Also the room service cleaning is excellent, besides the actual cleaning, you feel very comfortable - with such a lovely way they put flowers on your bed. Hotel is situated in the corner of the beach which is the best location ever. There are not any sellers (not like on the rest of the beach), so have a total privacy. We were looking for a place to swim - is not that easy to find this place, it's always for diving or there is not enough of water. Beach near the Alang Alang is perfect for swimming in every day hour. We highly recommend this hotel as one of the best hotel we stayed EVER !

Tranquil and Serene”
Peaceful setting without distractions
If you want to get away from the hustle & bustle of most tourist spots, come here and relax. The hotel is located in a cove along the ocean so there's no jet ski's, motor boats, para sails, etc. to disrupt your view. There is no sandy beach, but you can walk down a path and swim in the ocean or chill by the pool or lay back in a comfortable lounge chair on the lawn. The restaurant and bar also face the ocean so you can dine and watch the sunset. Overall, this hotel was a wonderful respite from other busy locations on the island.

Paradise in lombok”
Very nice location, perfect for a stay.
This was like being in paradise we loved ousr stay the beach the pool the bungalow the views and the location quite and secluded, the location is a little bit away from Sengiggi but this is not a con but a pro it is only 2 dollars or 1.5 euros to go there by mettered taxi, if you want more options to have your dinner. The place is great and the reception staff is very helping if you need anything

Wonderful charming hotel in a great location”
Location, views, staff, meals, overall feeling
I've stayed at many island resorts around SE Asia and this has been one of my best so far. It was actually this resort, more than Lombok itself, that made our holiday so enjoyable for us. The location is great - next to the Puri Mas, although separated by a stone wall. This separation gives the resort a nice secluded, private feeling even though the main beach and the other resorts are just a few minutes walk along the beach to your right (the beach directly in front of the resort is a bit rocky, which helps create a private atmosphere). We were lucky enough to get rooms directly facing the ocean (and I'd highly recommend you request one of the front ocean facing rooms if you can). It was an incredible feeling having the wide blue ocean directly in front of us from the moment we woke up and opened the curtains and to then to walk over to the restaurant and have a fantastic breakfast (their breakfasts really are really recommended) on one of the restaurant's tables on the sand beside the ocean. One of the highlights of staying here are the sunsets - during the day you will not realise you are staring directly at Bali, until the sun starts to set and suddenly Mount Agung of Bali rises up on the horizon, seemingly out of nowhere, creating one of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen anywhere. My favourite part of this resort was the feel. It just seemed to get the mix of comfort, beauty and laid back charm exactly right. It feels wonderfully natural to its location - it has unquestionable comfort and beautiful sea views, while at the same time being laid back, friendly and unpretentious. The staff were outstanding: always charming, smiling, easy going and helpful. While I enjoyed a day trip to the gilis (being out on a little boat on this blue ocean beats a day at the office any day) I found the coral to be quite disappointing, so if you're hoping for spectacular diving and snorkeling I'd recommend somewhere like Redang in Malaysia instead

Nice beach hotel with sunset & mount Agung view”
Great service from the staffs, relaxing hotel room & environment
Alang2 has nice hotel room and bathroom design. Restaurant by the beach is cool but swimming Pool is kinda small and not really fantastic. I could see mount Agung(Bali) and nice sunset view even from the room I stayed . Great service by the receptionist who always willing to help us call taxi. A lady from restaurant has straight from the heart service. Other staffs helped us Carry our big and many luggage when we about to check out. Would love to come back to stay in this hotel. We enjoy walking along the beach as it is clean, private and not so many people. This hotel is not so near senggigi town so Taking a cab (Rp ) is a good option

Wonderful hotel on the beach”
private beach, excellent service, comfortable rooms, free wifi everywhere
This hotel was fantastic! It is small but cute and well organized. We stayed for one night and one day. Even though we were unable to do late checkout because of new customers arriving, we stayed around the hotel and still had an excellent service and help from staff. The food was very good, the beach was fantastic. This hotel is located north of Singiggi, so it is in the quieter part. We were able to rent motor bikes (staff organized for us) and go around the island.

Great for relaxation”
Staff is very helfpul and friendly, quiet location, beautiful sunset
i booked this hotel hoping for a relaxing couple of nights away from work in order to switch off from the outside world. and that is what you get here. it's q quiet little compound, the staff are very friendly, the food is good, my room was clean and comfy. if you wish to do some shopping, or go out for dinner somewhere else, it is a mere 5 - 10 minutes (rupiah one way) taxi ride into senggigi. there are plenty of restaurants, shops, bars, night clubs and massage parlours downtown. if you want to have a relaxing (or strong indonesian) massage by the beach in the resort, just ask the staff: they will organise it for you.

Fantastic Hotel”
Location and staff extremely helpful
My friend and I booked into this hotel for a diving trip and were extremely pleased to see when we checked into the hotel, we were upgraded to a ocean view room. The hotel was fantastic and the front desk lady at the reception was ever so helpful. She helped book dinner reservations for us and even called the restaurant to come and pick us up at the hotel. Fantastic service! There is no beack to speak of but there is a nice lawn area in front of the room with loungers on it and there is a nice pool area. I have absoultely no complaints about this hotel and would not hessitate to come back again and again!

1st. view/ 2nd friendly staff / 3rd atmosphere at the hotel
I went there with my mom. At first time, I didn't like the hotel very much. Cuz there r few light but not enough, so I couldn't see single letter. But in the morning from the breakfast table, the view was wonderful. And quality of breakfast also fine. And the hotel is really silent, so I could get relaxed on sunbed. If someone is looking for a bit fancy hotel, this hotel is not proper. But someone wants to get away from everything, this hotel might be perfect.

Away from the hustle and bustle ”
Friendly staff, lovely grounds, relaxed atmosphere
We arrived late but were welcomed with smiles and a refreshing drink. Our room was lovely - bit dated but had a nice feel to it. Meal was also nice - a good selection and timely in getting it out. Loved breakfast right on the beachfront - what an outlook. Second night our AC died but the staff were quick to move us and even provided a refreshing drink to say sorry. While the resort is a wee way out of the main centre it is easy to get a taxi called or, as we did, hire a scooter and trip around. Maybe could do with a bit of a refresher of the decor but all in all very relaxing.

Great staff.”
Staff, cleanliness and breakfast
The staff are the biggest asset for Alang Alang. Everyone is so helpful and pleasant. The whole resort is kept spotless but is in need of renovation. We were told it was for sale and the present owner has let it run down. The sun beds are falling apart and the lanterns on the pathways are all broken. It lacks lustre. However, we loved the quiet position on the water's edge and stayed an extra night.
