Tianfeng Hotel Nijing - Good value”
Clean. Friendly helpful staff who spoke some English. Easy access to restaurants, shopping, city buses, the metro, banks, taxis.
One of the main streets below is undergoing a major rebuild so it was a bit noisy during the day. No cons to report about the hotel.
Great hotel! Friendly, helpful service. Since my Mandarin is almost non-existent, I was delighted when the staff working the reception desk had enough English to answer my questions about interesting tourist attractions in Nanjing and how to get there. My room was on a high floor in the business executive section. It was very clean, recently remodeled, comfortable king-sized bed with a new duvet comforter, included free Internet access, heat, and several international television stations. Located in a shopping district with a number of restaurant choices, including several internationally recognized fast food stores. Just a few steps from several city bus lines and a five minute walk to a metro stop. In the area there were a number of bookstores. In one I found a wonderful tourist map in English and Chinese with pictures and descriptions of a number of tourist attractions.

Tian Feng Hotel”
the rooms were lovely, beds comfortable, nice decor, bottle of water for teeth appreciated, easily accessible from station to hotel and then around town. We also had good lunch and yummy friut pizza.
The bathrooms bit tired and shabby. As Westerners we did not like the 'Asian' breakfast and went to McDonalds. It was hard to get cold beer and white wine impossible.
The Tian Feng is in a good location and easily accessible, our room was clean, well laid out and well furnished but bathroom a bit tired and shabby. We had a great view, despite the smog. All staff were very helpful, despite our problem getting a cold beer and forget a cold white wine, too difficult, have a lovely mixed drink instead.
Breakfast was not for our Western tastebuds and so we ate a local fast food store, but had delicious friut pizza, dumplings and other food for lunch one day. overall, good place to stay.
