The hotel tried to charge us the full rate instead of the Internet quote. They are corrupt!”
My driver had coffee with me at breakfast and they charged us $25 or the same as a full breakfast for him. The restaurant service is horrible and takes hours to get anything. The manager is as corrupt as the staff and tries to charge us a different rate than we were quoted online. I have stayed there three times and each time we had a different problem. But if you book it in country and have to pay at the hotel then they screw you. That has happened twice. I will try the Sheraton instead next time to avoid the hassle of hustlers. I thought the Hilton brand would be better than this.

Terrible mix-up over payment at the front desk”
the hotel was clean and well-maintained, although the age is starting to show with some electricity sockets falling apart. had a terrible experience with the front desk over payment - perhaps they are not used to working with online bookings, credit card bookings. had to email several times before the issue was resolved. it was slightly frustrating when on the last day of my 6-night stay, upon check-out, the front desk still asked if i had made my payment.
Comfortable but one never really felt safe”
Right from the start at check-in, there was trouble. The staff informed us (me and a colleague) we had not paid and needed our credit card to ensure payment (which we refused to provide as Agoda had obviously already charged our cards). They asked us to contact Agoda to verify that payment had been made and we did several times. Agoda was very responsive and helpful and did the necessary by even contacting the hotel to confirm that payment had been made. We were told midway through the stay that the payment was settled, which calmed us down. However, at check-out, the same problem arose and we were nearly prevented from checking out!! The communications between the hotel staff is terrible, with the staff refusing to refer any problems to their management out of fear. And when someone higher ranking questions the staff, they are not afraid to lie about what had been said to us!! The hotel system was also obviously non-existent - an example being that I had requested for a late checkout and this was confirmed by the staff, who even informed me that there would be extra charges. Yet on the day of the checkout, I got a call from the business centre telling me they had no records I had requested for a late checkout!! Finally, there were a lot of strange but well-dressed people in the lobby and who could gain access into the hotel lifts. They were strange because they never seemed to go anywhere in the lifts - they would remain in the lift even though the I (the only other person in the lift) had gotten off at the next-to-highest floor (the 9th) and they hadn't pressed the button to go to any floor. And this happened multiple times during our stay.

Das Hotel ist für den Preis nicht zu empfehlen, die Zimmer sind abgewohnt, wie das gesamte Hotel. Die Ausstattung ist noch aus den 50 Jahren, zum teil defekt. Essen kann man sehr gut, Nachtleben wird reichlich geboten.
