Tweed Heads hotels & places to stay

I organise a conference at Tweed Ultima every year for 80-100 delegates. Conference Room Facilities are great. We pay for morning teas This comprises of coffee and tea and fruit platter and our choice of savoury or sweet items. I find portions are very small so I have to order extra. So if we have 80 coming i order morning pay for morning tea for 120. Which is a lot of money at around $14 a head. My only complaint there. Rooms are wonderful and some have amassing views..only complaint this year was most units that our deligates had did not provide dishwashing detergant and tea towels. Over all it is a great place..

We often go to Tweed Heads for the night as a get away and stay at Baywater, the staff are lovely and the rooms are clean and neat. Highly recommended.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Place was clean with clean amenities. Value for money. The planes flying over were of no problem at all to us. Noisy yes, but they did not go on all night and we were out all day. We were also well awake before the first plane take off. Lovely little chinese restaurant in Tweed also, which was close to the park.. We were glad to have a car. Not very many places to walk to from here.

Limited facilities but close to Tweed River (10min) and Kingscliff (5min). Bed/room was clean and comfortable with kitchenette and ensuite. We were on a road trip so good stop over for one or two nights and cheap in comparison to hotels in Tweed Heads and Kingscliff. Easy access to highway. Located in between river and beach, but road/land locked. Little coffee van - Chinny cafe over the road, closes early though, and local Pub - Chinderah Tavern and 'Cubby Bakehouse' by the river, only a short walk away.shop

The Blue Pelican is very conveniently located on a main thoroughfare close to the centre of Coolangatta - Tweed Heads. In spite of this, however, traffic noise is quite unobtrusive. Access from the north is not ideal, but a turn at the lights and a quick trip around the block makes for an easy alternative approach. We have stayed at the Blue Pelican twice now and have found it to be well managed, quiet, clean and comfortable and ideally suited to our purposes.

Best value accommodation, very helpful staff, good location. My only regret is my stay there was short.

Easy to find, and staff made checkin and parking etc really easy which is such a bonus when stressed in new environment! Room was clean and comfortable.Such a good price.So close driving to Gold coast,if run out of lovely tweed heads sites, that I recommend staying here and going to gold coast as we got ripped off with gold coast motels and prices and not as good as here!

This is a fine establishment. Good staff, good management. Only one small problem. When leaving the premises there is a small leafy tree on the footpath about 10 metres from the exit. It blocks vision of traffic approaching. It is DANGEROUS. Do not destroy the tree just get council to trim it back.

Super Friendly Manager, Great Facilities Quiet. I was worried about the potential airport noise, yet it was only occasion and distant sound. I have a mental disability and was treated extremely well, unlike some places i have vacationed on the Gold Coast.

I was the person you went to the airport yesterday (06/10/2012). We are traveling from Bangkok,Thailand to many cities across Australia from Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and last at Tweed Heads.We have to take the train from brisbane (Roma station) to Robina station and take the bus to Tweed Heads to your Motel, We enjoyed this trip.It is best to stay in your room, and parking in front.Very relax surroundings for your motel and the most important, You are close to the gold coast airport and transfer is great service.We recommend the Kennedy Drive Motel to stay. If you need to fly in the morning.

Even though we only stayed one night. The owners were very accommodating,very nice,easy to talk to & very helpful. We stayed in a Bungalow which had everything we needed for an over night stay. And if you wished to stay longer it's fully equipped kitchen is more than capable to accommodate an extended stay. The park accommodates caravans, campers & the like. I would highly recommend the River Retreat Caravan Park 1 night,1 week or for as long as they'll allow you to stay. 10/10
