The hotel is run down”
The hotel lacks basic facilities such as a coffee, tea or kettle. It’s run down and I would not place it into 4 * category. Restaurant is not connected with the hotel and there’s a lot of steps not suitable for an elderly person, as lift is small and not available at the main entrance. This hotel requires a lot of investment to be called 4*.

The most terrible stay in Morocco”
Casablanca was the last stop of our trip and we spent 2 nights in Le Lido. The hotel is so much older than we expected, especially the bathroom. The beds were clean and rooms were tidy. The wall of the building is so thin, so basically on the first night, we heard the other residence speaking next door. On the second night, while we were asleep, someone next door opened our connection door inside our room and trying to come in. Luckily my luggage blocked the entrance and those people back off once they heard me shouting to them. I am not sure how they got the key, whether they are just randomly broke in or whether they are the staffs of the hotel. So this is not only about the cleanliness or facilities of the hotel, it's about the security. This is be very unsafe for single traveller (especially ladies) to stay here. We would not recommend this hotel to our friends even they located right next to the beach with wonderful sea view.

Excellent Hotel along the atlantic ocean”
along the beach, near the restos, public transport just a about 300 meters away, friendly staff, clean rooms
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay as i love the sea.All the rooms have balconies and rooms very clean contrary to some feedback i read before my trip.It is along the restos/ bar strip which reminds me of Boracay and Roxas Blvd in the Phil. where people are more awake & active at night and hibernate during the day. Breakfast was excellent with lots of fruits, meat & the bread one of the best as i like the crispy type. Also the bus stop is just about 300 meters but since taxi ( Petit one, don't take the white/ Benz)use meter and fairly cheap. Also drivers very honest & even gives you your change. Will recommend place to honeymooners.

The whole place is in a pitiful state with broken light fittings, broken lift which was still broken”
Broken lift still broken from last visit - we were on 4 th floor and had to carry luggage up and down 4 floors. Dirty, poor service. Inadequate linen provided. Broken light fittings. State of neglect everywhere, broken stairs, broken shower head, broken mirror, paint peeling off, bath tub rusty and simply touched up with enamel paint, receptionist fails to answer calls, we had booked additional bed in room but had to ask 3 times before it was delivered at 10pm. At breakfast no plates were available and we had to ask for plates. Quality of food poor at breakfast. Filthy railings in room, dangerous broken sockets.

More basic than the photos show”
I want to give this place a good review but cannot. Unfriendly staff, room extremely basic, no mini bar, smelled of smoke, overcrowded pool, fitness facilities are rusted or missing, over priced. Pay less than US$100 and expect nothing. One of few hotels in Casablanca with an outdoor pool.

Not a European 4* Hotel but they are close ”
The people were very friendly. A variety of Snacks is offered at the pool bar. The Hotel is well located and the appearance very nice. Negative: I bought my own water at a store. Coming back to the Hotel I was allowed to keep it but told not to bring any more. The cleaning for towels and bedsheets should be improved. There were often stains on my towel and it was the same for my first set of bedsheets.

Great Place to Stay in Casablanca”
Location, Breakfast, Staff Friendliness
We were welcomed and shown a beautiful room with a view of the ocean. All of the staff was friendly and went above and beyond. The desk assisted us in getting to the Hassan II Mosque with directions, fare advice for the cab and the schedule.

Third Time Lucky”
Location, pool, comfortable bed
This was my third visit to Casablanca and it really was third time lucky! I had previously stayed in the more commercial areas, the Thalasso was in a perfect location on the lively Corniche, Ayn Diab. Despite serious reservations about the hotel due to other reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the hotel. The room was comfortable- especially the bed- however the air con was'nt powerful enough, or in the right position to keep the room cool. The pool area is lovely and the staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a buffet with a good range of choices. Apart from a bad choice of carpet over ceramics, there is nothing much I can fault the hotel about!

An oasis in bussy Casa”
Beautiful location, you can hear the waves all the time. Pool and really comfortable bed.
We stayed only one night and unfortunately didn't have time to try the facilities around the pool, but it looked great. Quite central hotel, but still right on the beach. Room was very comfortable, but a little damp from the sea air with mildew on the curtains. But we got a very good price, so very pleased all in all. The only thing a found annoying and strange was that it was nearly impossible to get something at the poolbar. We waited 45 minutes to get our second beer - in the end waving to the waiters! I have worked in a bar myself and I don't like customers who shout and wave, so I don't like to be one of them . We started to think that we were wrongly dressed, they mistook us for somebody else who used to drink to much etc. We had only had one 25 cl beer each before, were wellbehaved, not weirdly dressed and the other customers got served without any trouble. There were three waiters and not many people there. Otherwise the service was friendly. PS - confusing with the name. It should say on the reservation that you tell the old name to the taxi driver since nobody knows the new name yet.

appraisal for staying at riad salam hotel ”
good location near the sea; friendly reception staff; good atmosphere/feeling about hotel; friendly staff; comfortable rooms;good moroccan restaurant; excelllent food; location next to a bank; goood music in the moroccan restaurant; a romantic feel about it in the evening-good for taking a partner to for a break/holiday..
1 taxi driver usd by hotel for transfer from hotel/airport expected a large tip on top of the 250.00 mad fare. tips are at the discretion of the fare -paying traveller; distance from centre ville is a disavantage.
i have had 2 excellent stays in the riad salam hotel. its location on the corniche is ideal for access to the sandy beaches and restaurants an clubs along the corniche. staff were helpful, courteous and friendly. the rooms were confortable and spacious, and made for a relaxing stay. the food was excellent, both in the evening and the selection for breakfast was more than enough. i would recommend this hotel to anyone going to casablance and would look forward to staying in the hotel again, given the opportunity.

Decent place. Probably a little overpriced. Be wary of travel agent they recommend as other tour companies give you way more like hotel stays and food included in price for a lot less.

Disgusted to arrive and be told at check-in that the hotel was over booked and that I would have to find an alternate means of accommodation. They didn't even assist with the relocation nor the booking of a taxi to get there! Pathetic!!
