Traveler impressions of Adelaide
Easy going, relaxing, vibrant, cultural, fun. So much to see & do in the CBD boundary as well as in close proximity.
Free CBD public transport, taxi drivers are non-communicative, tram to Glenelg is a must do. Jamie Oliver Italian restaurant is superb
My son and I travel to Adelaide to see hip hop bands there several times per year, the best venue is the Governor hotel in Hindmarsh, great venue and great value, the hip hop capital of Australia.
Adealide is a lovely city. Transport good, quite a few attractions within short distance of CBD. Worth a visit at any time.
Don't go to Sydney or Melbourne all the time. Try a relaxed atmosphere in Adelaide, South Australia.
a small town, relaxing place. Good places for sightseeing and shopping. Lots of buses heading out of town too.
Unlike Sydney or Melbourne,Adelaide is small but because it is the case it is charming and friendlier.
Adelaide ticks all the boxes not matter what your interests are there is always something to do or see.
Use the CBD as a place to stay but explore other places. it is worth to wake up early to start traveling so you get to spend more time in the place and have an early night.
Adelaide is an interesting city which is well designed and easy to navigate your way around. It has many beautifully restored old buildings that are located within the CBD and in surrounding suburbs.
Coming from Melbourne I was immediately surprised how much less frenetic the drivers are in Adelaide.
Seaside is attractive even in the winter chill. The wineries in the Barossa, Mclaren Vale and The Hills are all easily acessible on day trips.
A relaxing lay back place, not too much traffic, except when there is a night football match, never have we seen so many bus's in one area.
The business and shopping activities centered at CBD which is rather small area. Most stores closes at 5pm except for supermarkets.
Great for city sports beaches trams train and bus travel and hire car travel access to airport and mountains etc
Australia's most graceful and comfortable city. Great options nearby for trips. Friendly and relaxed.
A fabulous city and surrounds. So much to see and do. Easy to get around. Free travel for seniors in the city Centre.
Its quite and nice city however every thing is closed at 5pm which some times you can't remember which can invite troubles for you.
Adelaide has free bus loops which is a very good way to see and stop at many sights. A must is to catch a tram to Glenelg, stunning beach.
I love Adelaide I have always lived in Adelaide we have a bit off everything lots of sports winter and summer most people are friendly our restrants are the best and there is so much too see.
An interesting place to retire given its weather and infrastructure, but will find it hard to beat Sydney and Melbourne on cultural and sporting activities.
It has fairly flat ly of the land so walking around the city is relatively easy. Streets are all easy to a chess.
Tram and bus network in the city and to glenelg make travel easy. City has retained it green country town charm.
Adelaide is my favourite Australian cities to live in, even though it is generally considered one of the "more boring" cities to visit.
Adelaide is a compact place that you can get around with ease. The free transport system is excellent & possible partly responsible for the hardly noticeable city peak hour congestion.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the selection and quality of conference venues. I would rename it the City of Conferences, rather than the City of Churches.
We enjoyed our stay at the IBIS HOTEL.The position is central, close to all attractions and transport.
Although it is quite small, it is very clean. The Glenelg beach is very lovely. It is very romantic to walk near the river at night.
Adelaide is a relatively small city laid out on a square grid, so it is easy to find your way around.
Beautiful and peaceful city, good weather in September. Kangaroo Island is a wonderful place to visit through Adelaide!!!
